I got problem , when i change the default assist app, this app doesn't know that I changed it at all , and keep show message "You recently visited the system settings, where you could change the default assist app. However, you didn't choose the Developer Assistant. Would you like to repeat?" OnePlus 7 pro Android 11
I would have given it 5 stars easily if this app hasn't been such a pain in the *ss. I emailed them, but they seem to have died, probably, there was no answer. The app crashes or simply turns off every minute. I have to keep going to the settings every 1 minute and switch the home button of my phone and choose their app. So yeah, I'm uninstalling the app.
I alpha/beta test many applications. Developer Assistant makes it easier to give BugReports, especially when I can find the bug 🪲 on my own. I'm also sure it's easier for the application developer, that gets more exact BugReports, and if i found the bug, a huge "help", when a alpha/beta user (like myself), get a chance to "show off" and tell them what's wrong i their alpha/beta 🤘🏼
Its definately a great app but currently I am rating this 3 stars coz ,after updating my OnePlus 7T Pro to Oxygen OS 11 (Android 11) , this app fails to detect change in the assistant. I don't know either it's app's issue or oxygen os , but I can't get it working , EDIT :- Got it working , but have to manually search in settings , default assistant app, instead of digital assistant , both options are present in settings but 'deafult assistant app' actually has effect
Great app, I'm a designer and it's a very useful and good to have product. The license also works on multiple devices, but devices should have same Google id signed in on play store from which purchase was made. Only if there was a different way to trigger it than changing device assistant.
Very well programmed, makes a beginner such as myself work out issues from the very start. Good job, it gets us involved right away as we learn to navigate. Thx. Love it
If your trying to debug, build, or develop this is a very easily usable Developer Assistant application as the name implies. From my usage so far, it does everything it's description says it can.
This looks really promising and I really want to use it but long-pressing the home button opens Google for me, so I cant use it. Maybe add a feature where the user can change the button you have to press to enable it?
It would be good to edit, I feel bad looking at all these texts and scripts without being able to edit them. It just lets you see the inspection of whatever you are using, but not editing.
Not working on OnePlus 8 pro, Android 11, rooted. Assistant is selected in settings but the app doesn't recognize this.
The app is not showing up in default assistant apps so I'm unable to change the default assistant app. I'm using android 11
Tried every method stated in their wiki. I wasn't able to get this app to work properly. I am using LineageOS Android 7.1 , mapped assistant to the long press of home button. But to no avail. Sounded promising but it didn't work.
Good, but unable to inspect system ui, that i think it must be the main feature to inspect tge systemUi, instead of other useless layout and those can be easily adjust without using this.
Tried this in the OnePlus 6, even after selecting the assistant as Developer Assistant the app is not accepting that I have selected thia app as Assistant. Please resolve this asap, I have a project to complete and highly need this app.
Very useful. One of the uses I didn't knew I need until now is to find layouts very quickly in code, as you can get the id fairly easily with this tool and go check it out, sparing you other more indirect ways. Worth the money for me.
Great tool, would be great if I don't have to override Google assistant. Can this be triggered from a notification tile? And the pricing is way too high. Consider reducing it a bit. Otherwise a 5 stars from me!
I used this app to inspect some of the system layouts (i.e. to get the resource package and resource id of some of the system views) and it worked fine for me. I used it on an Android 10 and Android 11 emulator.
Great app... I feel like.. This is what i wqw looking for but... Dear developer. Xan you make the app request for root access? Then make the app able to save the icons on the screen as a png. I knoow this may be impossible. But if it possible maybe you can consider doing this. Thank you developer. *PPL Be like: oo this guy works for him, only you bellive that i'm real lol.

Great app & customer support too. The reason I am giving 1star is after my latest os update in OnePlus 7t, my device is unable to detect developer assistant.

Whe I press home button to activate it Google Assistant gets activated. There should be button to just activate it just like in VPN apps.
I was able to get it turned on as an assistant. Easier in the face gave me more trouble.

Can you make the button that is used to move the window a little bigger? It clashes with "back" system gesture on Android 11-12
The app told me to wait for more than 30 minutes to show some internals for the selected object on the screen, then my phone couldn't take screenshot. I waited the 30+ minutes (in one case about an hour with app open at all times), the promised information wasn't shown. Then the timer would reset if I changed to a different tab. I don't know if you consider this normal mechanics, but the timer could easily be dropped down to 30 seconds (most ads are). The info's cut off too I have changed to 3 ⭐
