Great starter app for anyone wanting to try android application development !! This app explains you basis of android application development. Having prior knowledge of Java programming language definitely helps understanding the examples provided. Also, it should be obvious since entire application development depends in android platform depends on Java. Also, this app has in-app advertising. It shows up at the bottom of the screen. I am fine with it but if you prefer not to see ads you can skip this app.
OLD: As Android runs a single foreground app at a time, not having the ability to copy examples to the clipboard is great weakness in a reference/training app. Add this ability and I will reinstall. Nice reference otherwise. NEW: Copy was added, now I will try it again and review it more thoroughly - thanks, developer.
This app is definitely unsuitable for learning from scratch: users require an understanding of java before beginning to think about what the app is teaching you. Aside from this the app is quite useful for adapting to the Android development environment: it teaches with a no-nonsense approach (hence the prerequisite of understanding java), stating that something exists before going on to give an example of it in code. This approach certainly requires an understanding of some of java's features, but if you have that, it is amazing how much you can learn just from reading a bit of code with well-named variables. In summary, an effective resource for programmers with some understanding of java to learn the fundamentals for programming for Android.
I'm new to developing for Android and sometimes the official Android documentation, along with some tutorials I have followed, have assumed prior knowledge of concepts I'm not familiar with. This book style app was great for filling in some of those gaps. Great job!
but i don't think no one can start programming with this application any way thanks for developer do a good job
The app is really cool but their is a small problem in it. I can't view the codes after clicking the zoom in button. Plz look into it if u can.
Definitely not for absolute beginners you'd get more help buying the App development for dummies book
Thus guide quickly gives new Android developers the minimal vocabulary they need, and then puts code samples, explanations, and how-to's in front of the developers immediately.
Definitely no beginners can understand this.it seems u simplified much as possible but if you help beginners with an example app from scratch that will be a better one.
Thank you so much iv been looking for explanations to a lot of things in apps and SD and files thakyou the only thing I found jeeez
Nice, it is a practical and quick reference. It seems will be very useful for me as an android development student.
Needs more tutorials like tabs, Interpolate text or images, grid view, list view, get all applications and put into list view or into grid view... and the copy doesn't work properly, makes double words.
Good for beginners to take a healthy start...its giving an idea to how to start any task...and after that you can find more on web accordingly...
I guess this is the best thing to learn about android from basics .it helped me a lot in understanding android and everything.
As an android dev. student that helped me a lot. Amazing

Nice but not perfect ...so plz update that .
Good app keep it up love you guys......
Cleared all my doubts
This teaches you almost nothing about Android development. It's more or less just a long list of example code snippets with no explanation of what they're doing and why you should use them. And the many spelling errors, even in the code, make it practically useless as a reminder for developers.
