Devicebook is super helpful for connecting all my smart devices to each other. Was able to make and run dApps using my wemo switch and LIFX bulbs to make my morning routine smarter really easily. Totally recommend.
Worked great until it didn't. App won't load and both desktop and android clients are unable to turn off the current running animation.
This app worked until the most recent software update for android. It now crashes immediately and is completely inoperable.
This company has already been exposed as questionable. This company was exposed as spammers by gmail. This company's web site ownership is hiding behind a privacy proxy so that the real ownership cannot be traced. There is no information on the security of the cloud service so put the locks on your home here at your own peril.
Devicebook is—or rather, was awesome. I could create my own dApps then control my lights with precise control. It was great, but it was too good to last as Devicebook are illogically throwing out all of the great dApps people have made in exchange for starting anew with a less enticing "smart home" system. I would've recommended this app, but the owners made the complete wrong decision, and other apps like LIFX/IFTTT don't have the precision that this platform had. Bring it back, Devicebook!😫
