- learn every day about your overeating disorder. Every day you will unlock one short animated video made by psychologists to help lead you through the process. From the transtheoretical model of change, through the human brain physiology, to long-term life benefits and self-realization.
- have a great community forum at your disposal to share your eating disorder stories and diets, ask other users to help you with your problem, or help others and earn reputation!
- use the cry for help button when you're really down and depressed or if you just had a binge eating episode. Only users with excellent reputation will be able to answer you. No bad seeds.
- track your progress through the life-goals you set. If you want to stop being depressed or anxious, you can easily track your progress on the graph, which is created by a self-assessment tool used by psychologists to measure the progress of clients who have eating disorders.
This app helps you in three distinct ways that are central components of rehab centers:

Hey all I loved this app until day 37. It won't allow me to watch any new videos from the library even though I'm on day 43. Also when I play the videos they are echo-ey? The videos freeze if I play them once I enter the app, the audio continues but the visual does not. I end up having to restart the program and then it works fine.
*Update* customer service reached out to this review rapidly and explained the technical difficulty and that it was fixed. I was able to register right away upon trying again. So far, this app is everything i had hoped for! *original review* Downloaded the app. When I go to register an account, it gives a little pop up that just says "Whoops!" with no explanation of why it won't let me create an account.
I really like the app, but too glitchy. I went to re-watch a video, and then I selected to view and add in order to watch it. But every single time it just freezes up my screen and then I have to uninstall the app. Still can't watch the previous videos that I missed.
This looks like an amazing app and I'd love to use it but the videos are buggy. They either don't play or when they play, they overtake the screen on landscape mode and I can't close them out nor move to the next step. I was super excited about this app and I really hope fixes come out soon, but for now I can't really use it which is a shame.
This app has been incredibly helpful to me while in recovery. While the videos can be a little glitchy at times (going fullscreen on the video and then restarting it has worked well for getting them to play), the information is both concise and helpful. Being able to track the various pattern of my relapses keeps me mindful and the random motivational quotes can give me a nice little boost when and if I need it.
This app is very motivational and I can imagine it being very helpful to my recovery, but the app won't let me view the past days or videos. When I try to click the link is just refreshes and send me to the daily activities screen. I would really like to be able to use this app to ita full potential.
Update : I raised to 4 stars because at first glance, the app seems very well done. I may update this review in a while, after using it more substantially. As for the email issue, I first tried to register with a different email account, but that did not work (even though the option was offered). Only worked with my Google play account (hence the issue with email confirmation and all). In all fairness, I had to change my rating because the supplier did reply and everything now seems in order. Update : plus, I got a notification informing me the developer had replied to my review, but there isn't any reply. Definitely not sold on this. ---------- Downloaded the app and unable to get passed registration. Says to confirm email. Email never came in (checked spams).
this app feels really hard to navigate. it's super glitchy and i cannot for the life of me find the relapse button. when I'm feeling emotional the app just ends up making me feel more frustrated. Edit: in regards to your response, my entire main screen is just grey with nothing on it. that glitch likely contributes to why i cant find anything.
Edit: Thanks for the reply. I updated the app. It still has bugs, but I'm just gonna specify it. I haven't watched videos 16 to 20. Now, I'm on day 20 but I can't watch videos 16 to 19 anymore. And promise, there's a problem when I try to play a video. It takes me about four tries for the video to play.
Videos cut out every 20 seconds and to watch it you have to go back in again. I have had the app 2 days and somehow I'm already on day four. Also finding it does not always save the diary entries.
The information provided is very good so far and it's definitely helped me get started kicking my bad habit, HOWEVER after 2 weeks you must either pay to continue or start watching ads. I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THIS BUT the first ad I received was for a GAMBLING APP. On an app designed to break addictions... It is well known that people with any addiction (in this case a food addiction) are more likely to have other addictions so serving their users gambling ads is utterly tasteless.
Edit: the developers contacted me and fixed the login problem. I reinstalled the app and we'll see how it goes. I like the style of the videos and hope this will help me develop some skills.
So i just downloaded this app and i think it has great potential but I have a few issues that I need to figure out first. Like you can't edit things I do not know a pain starting this app up and making up the profile for me that I was starting my 90 days nowhere did it say that now it says I'm on day 3 I haven't even started a diet plan I can't start at day one again? I can't even go back and put in like a relapse just so I can mark that that wasn't like a start day? Why can we edit?
Videos play audio but visual image doesn't work. Video usually crashes before it finishes. Vexing as otherwise it is a great app.
Edit: The developer reached out and we found a solution so that I am able to view the videos. I commend their customer service and willingness to work with me. I'm excited to watch these videos as the first few I've watched seem high quality.
So far I like those short informative videos, but diary is a bit meh, if you write a long entry it's impossible to scroll and read whole entry. Time stamps for the diary entries would be nice too.
I couldn't even open it. I tried each way to register and when I tried Facebook it said my email was taken. I've never used it before and my email is what I said it was. Weird. I was excited but now I may go eat some fries cos I'm pissed off.
This app has been instrumental in helping me recover from food addiction with the videos and tracking. If you're interested in the social support in the community forum within the app, you should know it's pretty inactive. DeVicer requires a subscription in order to fully participate in the forums, and the result is that there is very little talk going on, sadly. If you want this aspect, try an app like FatSecret which has an extremely active and supportive community.
i love the app a lot but it's not letting me play videos and i was busy with work and couldnt watch day 6. :( it keeps just going back to the day I'm on and not playing it. please help
I like this app. I just wish the chat function was more intuitive! I can't really figure it out, and a way to make a group chat would be cool
I have tried very many apps out there claiming to educate and care, however most have very poor insight about what such disorder entitles. deVicer feels authentic, and trustworthy. And it is quite important to begin things with building trust first.
I tried to start it, but the videos didn't work. I feel this is something I would've enjoyed! Uninstalled.
I downloaded the app, it freezes on the login screen and none of the buttons work to login. Uninstalled.
Videos are not working when I go onto the app.... Great app other than that...
Requires you sign up and give your email and birth year to them... BEFORE letting you use the app AT ALL. Not impressed...

Unable to watch any of the videos. It gives me a "fatal error".
I've decided not to use this app, as I have employed other resources to assist me. But I am unable to deactivate my. The options go in a loop asking me to register.

Initially loved this app and found it really helpful. Couldn't log anything retrospectively, which the developers were unable to help with. The new update just gave it loads of bugs, videos stopped playing and the app crashed whenever I tried answer questions. Ended up uninstalling, which was a shame as it started off so well. I hope they fix it soon for future users.
