Dexcom G6 Simulator

I used the receiver provided by Dexcom initially and later added the app for Android. It was ok for awhile and remained accurate relative to the receiver. I would have continued to use the app in tandem with the receiver but ran into an unrelated problem when changing the sensor and new transmitter. I deleted the app intentionally to resolve the problem and realized the app isn't that useful to me. When you get a signal alert both phone and receiver sound. Drains battery quickly. Won't use it.

Dexcom incapable of keeping up with technology!!! Dexcom G6 is not compatible with new phone technology like Samsung S22 or S22 ultra enough though these phones have been on the market for months. I now have to use a totally separate device for my Dexcom G6. So until that comes in 5+ days I will be without continous blood glucose readings. Tech support left one voicemail message stating they were sending a separate device for the Dexcom. They didn't even leave a number if I had questions.

Look, everyone griping about this simulator app (and the actual G6 app). It's not the app, nor your phone. There was an Android OS update in December. I think that turfed the compatibility w/ the G6 app. The phones are listed as compatible because they are. The OS running them isn't (technically) & therefore won't let us download it. Dexcom needs to deal with the issue. C'mon Dexcom... we're waiting.

Apparently, Dexcom has decided NOT to support the Samsung S22 with its rollout. Rather, they decided to make my $450 of sensor patches useless by removing the Dexcom app altogether for S22 owners - the phone that had over One Million paid-in-full pre-orders as of FEBRUARY 1st! I contacted tech support and she said they had no info on making their app compatible, but said keep checking the Play Store whether the app reappears. She said she would put a suggestion in the Corp.'s Suggestion Box

unbelievable like all other reviews, I need an app that monitors my blood and can send it to followers on the follow app too. I do not need a tutorial manual on how to use the real useable app, which is what this is.. This is a disgrace! I don't understand what dexcom is thinking, but I think giving them a call or writing them every email in the world is necessary for them to make an app that works on all phones so it can save more peoples lives!! I wish I could write more, but the word limit..

This app is a bigger problem for Dexcom. They have a working G6 app that is compatible with very few phones, they have everything there for a happy customer base yet ignore it. This company either doesn't care or the company chooses to use a flawed customer care model. Sadly it looks like the later version of issues.

Deceptive Dexcom. Was excited to get G6 for son so family could help monitor glucose levels - after all, app was "Available for Android." Except not really - so few Android models allowed for actual app download the whole family would have to switch phones to participate. Dexcom claims they can't be bothered to certify more phones because there are so many. Hogwash. This simulator, of course, doesn't really do anything but remind you that Dexcom has no trouble making an app that can work on multiple Android models....but of course, it has no practical value.

Waste of my time! i thought I was going to find an app to use instead of my Dexcom G6 monitor which is just another thing that I have to keep track of and carry around and make sure I have it and blah blah blah. this was very disappointing to find out that it was indeed just a simulator. Dexcom needs to make it so that you can truly use either the monitor or your cell phone. At this point I'm not very happy with the product. Time will tell.

It could be improved by the use of ability to write notations in the application and also take pictures and included in the daily notes. I love another app called my sugar which relies on finger sticks to tell the app your blood sugar but doesn't have the continuous blood sugar monitoring ability. if Dexcom could utilize some of those aspects that would be great. Main reason why I use the Dexcom app is for my G6 sensor and being able to utilize my phone and a receiver to let me know what my blood sugar is doing at all times.

@DEXCOM I am a new user, the G6 system does not work on my Android OS 12. When I go on your site, says my Note 10+ needs os 9 - 11. I can't use the app, which is one of the biggest reasons I switched from medtronics. Could you provide an ETA as to when an update will be available?

I was experiencing a ton of lost signal on my old phone. Was thinking maybe I'll upgrade my phone and I could cut down on the loss of signal alarms. Then now I get my new phone upgraded. Get everything set up. Go to download the dexcom app then it's hits me The dexcom is not approved for my phone The Pixel 6 pro. This is a absolute NIGHTMARE!!! Can I get a refund on my dexcom????

Wow. Gotta wonder how some of y'all actually function on a day to day basis. It's a SIMULATOR. Of course it's not going to monitor YOUR glucose. 🤔🤣 The actual apps (g5 and g6) work for Android. If your phone isn't in the list of "supported" phones there's ways around that. You have to know how to work the Google searchy clicky thing though. So, not much confidence in that being a solution. 🙄 SMH it's right there in the name of the app AND the description. Sim-u-la-tor.

This lady from dexcom calls and wants me to install the app; I do but it doesn't work. I tell her I don't think it's the right app but I'll ask my IT husband when he gets home, see if he can fix it. He looks at it - goes it's not an app but a demo. I'm like I knew it! Then I'm like dexcom must think we're really stupid and won't figure out how to use the gear unless they walk us through it with a fake app. Upon further review I'm getting a new phone compatible with the app. A google pixel.

Dexcom should be ashamed of all their services. Useless apps that work on many devices, useful apps for just a few phones, opaque instructions and requirememts, lack of repacked battery in transmitter so you need to throw it away. this company exemplifies everything wrong with the health care system. At least I can download the irrelevant G5 app for my G6 so I can pretend it works.

None of the setup options can be setup as far as logging in your account & everything else it takes to setup the dexcom.. im still using my finger pricker to check my blood because of this massive flaw. Id give it 0 stars if i could

Very unhappy, unable to load dexcom on my Samsung A32 phone was told it could take months on original phone they put the app on right away what happened someone said it's not broken let's fix it

Waste of time of an app. Why not instead focus on how many more smart devices you could actually include on your list of compatible devices. You only have expensive androids or ios compatible with Dexcome G6 as of now. Simulator! Oh wow big deal...it just confuses people & take space on their phone. Youtube simulator video should be enough. Perfavour, increase your device list that can use Dexcome g6 app! Please include cheaper brands of Android ! Dont waste time on simulators!

Worthless. What's even worse is that my app store won't even let me view the real app since it's not compatible with my phone. What a great way to keep people from reviewing your useless program! Now my real question is, what phone IS compatible with G6?

This is not what I needed. I upgraded my phone to the Zflip and now the app is not available on my new expensive phone, how is that possible? NOT HAPPY

Does not help that the real app is not compatible with my LG Stylo 6 smartphone. False advertising on TV commercials. They should be more compatible with all Android phones equally as with iPhones!

Many people don't understand the purpose of this app. This app is just a SIMULATION. It's not the actual app for your dexcom device. If your only seeing this app like me in the play store it's likely you don't have the right kind of phone for your dexcom g6.

I rate the app as 4, but the service you all provide supplying the sensor is horrible. They are doing the app greatness an I justice by not supplying its customers the product in time to even use the app. Yes, I'm a Dexcom G6 patient (was). They never send the sensors.

Upgraded phone twice just so I can use this my G6, total BS doesn't work with any damn phone and I lost my meter that came with G6 so now no clue WTH my blood sugars are and I hate poking. Get this fixed it should be available for more than a select few iphones or android devices. So disappointed

Why have a sim when you won't allow your app to function with most all NFC phones?? I'm the the same message over a year ago. I've upgrade phone several times and nope...won't work. Which phone companies are paying you off to limit functionality?

I don't need a simulator. I am a Dexcom user, just switched from a Galaxy S21 Ultra phone to a Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 and there is no app to continue using my dexcom so now it's either sticking my finger all the time again or go back to Medtronic. Need app support asap.

Cannot download the app on my phone because my phone supposedly isn't compatible. I think it's ridiculous that you can't make every phone compatible.

Completely worthless. I know that this is a simulator that it's not the real thing but why have a app that shows you how to use the real G6 app if we don't even have the real G6 app. It's not like everyone can buy thousands of phones just to find out what is compatible with the real stupid G6.

You need to have Dexcom to use for all screens. I have a Samsung z flip and it does not work with my pump

This is a Simulator. Completely useless to me, a patient who just got the Dexcom G6 CGM system. The G6 model was approved by the FDA in 2018, the fact that I can not install an actual useful and working app is absolutely stupid.

My phone's listed Andis app does not work on any of my phone star listed none of that and I'm a severe diabetic what are they doing customer service says they don't have no answer for me very poor service seriously life-and-death type thing shouldn't improve this thing and took two months almost to get this all the equipment and the app that's not even work nothing works should have stuck with my lifestyle was much easier just put it on Scandal one time and that's it not all the scanning barcode
