Because, I am a fan of following directions and using the unconventional; Critical Thinking. Five Stars DG Smart life. I am not going to comment on the negative post, despite their common thematic. My experience with Google has been a learning curve, Simple concepts are often a Simeon obstacle. Computers and their minions don't make mistakes. Programers and user's of computers do. 80% of my assistants regain connection /post power/App failure. Kudos to the programmers.
I have tried several times to install this and it won't install. I have 3 of another brand of smart plugs that connected immediately. I will try again, but not happy. too late to return these so I am stuck.
Hard to get the plugs to sync,& didn't last long. Reached out,no reply. Otherwise I enjoyed them the short time they did work,wished they lasted longer.
Just received these today and couldn't register through the app at all. I had to use my tablet to see if Icould register it that way and was able to but Iwas only able to link just ONE of the 6 plugs I bought to my alexa app. When I went in to link my sons plug to the DG app, I could not sign in again. Kept telling me wrong password but yet I am reading that the user name and password must be the same as my alexa. I will be contacting QVC to return these and will go with a reputable brand.
I was loving this app until i changed my internet provider. Now it won't let me update. I keep getting an error mesaage saying it can only update on 2.4ghz. I don't even know what that means. help please update your app.
simply doesn't work for everyone. They should be more clear on the required specs on the box, but sadly I am now stuck with 4 smart sockets that are useless to me.
App is only compatible with 2.4 GHz wifi. I have 5 GHz. They need to update app. I have to return all 6 plugs now. Really disappointed.
buggy installing but got it to work with the app. i cant for the life of me get google home to recognize it. box says it is compatible.
Following the directions did not connect the device. Plus it is confusing as to get it to connect to Alexa
I don't believe these people exist anymore I'm stuck with 6 plugs I can't use with anybody else but this app, joke.

The app works but I am trying to use this outlet on the network to reboot my cable modem in another building. I should be able to control the device on the local network even when internet is down. The device does not work this way most of the time. I can once in a while get it to see the device even though the internet is down. I want to rwboot my cable modem as charter spectrums network although fast goes down all the time. Requiring a reboot of the modem regularly. Fix this problem, the app should talk directly to local devices and not give freak that the internet is down...
I really enjoy the light bulb I got. But the reason I'm only giving it a 3 star rating is cuz it is always offline. Please fix this problem.
Half of the plugs we bought work great, the other half will not connect. In the app it mentions that it is only compatible with 2.4 GHz wifi (we have 5 GHz). This is not mentioned anywhere before we bought this product. We will be returning all of these plugs for a identical product for half the price that works.
Love the app. Have had no problems whatsoever with it. Works great with both my outlets.

I bought this product because the packaging on the side of the box talked highly of their ability to integrate with other services (like Google Home). In the year I've had the "smart" plug, and hours of research, I found that it's impossible to integrate into anything except its own app; and when the box stated "control with voice," they were referring to their own custom made voice assistant that can only be accessed through the apps.
