I am concerned about the FTP sync support, with default port 21. On the one hand, I like the opportunity to sync my DGT to an Internet server I have personal control over for my personal task management. But the original FTP over port 21 is transmitted without encryption. Is there a possibility for syncing with SFTP as well, including the option for validation of the server's TLS certificate or providing my own client certificate?
Still the best
Waiting for one drive option.. please integrate with one drive
Need a little help with this on how it's supposed to save my tasks from dgt gtd. It's my first time using this
Crashed when syncing to Dropbox after update, but devs immediately looked into this!
And can't wait for beta with the Outline function - I'll be using that all the time! The best among the many options. Will gladly be a paying customer in the full release.
The Drop box sync is great, just needs an option for automatic sync.
Needs to allow us to sync every so often automatically
Finally have a cloud-based backup using Dropbox. Quick, convenient, and easy. Just waiting for the sync upgrade so I can sync my tablet with my phone! Absolute perfection...and it is still in alpha!!!
...as always from dg tale :-)
Many thanks to DGTALE for creating an easy and sensible backup solution for DGT GTD. It worked flawlessly the first time for me. One important point is that you must set up a Dropbox account, and then install Dropbox Mobile on your phone, both ahead of time - don't attempt to utilize the Value Pack until you've done those things. Once you have a Dropbox account, and have installed the Mobile version on your phone, you should be able to see the "sdcard + Dropbox" option on your phone. Do this: Open DGT GTD. From either of the 3 main screens (Folders, Main or Goals) tap the gear icon (settings) on lower right. You should be on the Utilities screen. On the Backup line, it should say "sdcard". Tap the phone's Menu. You should see "Backup destination" in the bottom left corner. Tap that, and you should see the "sdcard + Dropbox" choice. I can't duplicate it after the initial setup, but I recall some easy popup screen to OK to allow connecting to Dropbox at that point. Once it's working it will create new folders in Dropbox called Apps\DGT-GTD\backup, and every time you tap the Backup button it will create a file in both places with a .json.zip file extension. Awesome!
Additional security of offsite backup
I cannot connect to dropbox by wifi or mobile Internet
I set everything up, but when attempting to sync to drop box through the main app I get an error that the directory can not be accessed. I have a bunch of apps that sync to drop box no problem. Had to uninstall.
DGT GTD is the best app on my phone and this has potential to make it substantially better.
Thank you, reviewer Michael, for the instructions:)
Useful for organizing tasks and projects. No ads.
This is the awesomest series of apps
It is one of the best of these task manager apps but the alarm dies not sound if the phone is inactive. To be honest I've looked at all the apps and nine of them do. Ridiculous! Therefore the rating. I so wanted to rate higher
