I have been using the software for 3 years. I love it. It's strengths are: a large feature set and the ability to customize the user interface so that it looks like exactly what you want. It's weakness is that it is complicated for beginners and requires a lot of time spent on learning. But the time you spend is worth it because this product is free, it does not snoop on you, it can work offline when you don't have a Network signal and yet back up to the cloud when you do have it.
My first review apparently didn't post. I'm a DGT GTD veteran of close to a decade, & this leads to my main gripe, that the developer doesn't answer emails, & that DGT GTD was totally abandoned! My second gripe is, that no one can tell me if this syncs with Toodledo, or any other service, so I can save all of my tasks?? It's a wonderful intricate app that completely let's you organize a whole, whole lot, especially if you have many tasks throughout your day! 4 ⭐ until it's able to sync.
Please add Task List widget. Best task manager app ever! Edit : Seem like I found bug with repettitive tasks in a checklist. When I set them to daily recurrent, after I check off the task, the task won't automatically recreate itself. Sometime work normally but most of the time not. Also, please add hide until function.
This app was meant for people who have a lot to juggle on their plate. A complaint. I wish there was a collapse feature to make the menu less cluttered so we can hide what we don't need and always have what we use the most. Also 2 pieces of the GTD book are missing here. A submenu WAITING ON. Maybe you're waiting for a resource book to complete this task. 2) a WEEKLY REVIEW menu do see if you're off course or how much you completed
I feared DGT SODA's 'learning curve' initially. Reluctantly installed it thrice, uninstalling twice in between. But found, after migrating tasks from the DGT GTD, it's a plenty of options and immensely needed flexibility. Could easily start with it in a day. Best new features I put to use initially were the Boards and Contexts. But I found one essential aspect missing, which is there in DGT GTD - there's NO option of getting removed the 'Next Action' status on completing a repeating task.
WHY NO WIDGET? Why no Auto light dark theme? Other than that, brilliant evolution to dgtGTD. Not fussed about toodledo integration. Overpriced IMO. Why no fee for this app? Good software needs to be financially supported.I'd pay $10 for this app. One major problem is that backup doesn't work. You could lose your data, and never get it back
This is a very useful, complete and thorough app. however, it is lacking in the widget options. If it is possible, please make a widget that shows all of our lists and thats also scrollable, just like in the dgt gtd version. Thank you for creating this excellent app.
Great app, some nice improvements on previous version gdt gtd, with a few minor improvements to still work out. Please bring back the widget showing the task list. Unfortunately not having this is a deal breaker for me
I have been using DGT and now SODA for many years on multiple devices and appreciate the effort you have put into it. It is my go-to app for task, list & project management. Only now I have run into a problem with the Notebook feature.... October 22 Update- Notebook problem is resolved, possibly by the latest Samsung software update.
this is an exciting app in the sense that you can customize it on so many levels to fit your working style that it almost becomes an app about itself. it's also very stable. no complaints.
Wow! I'm excited to see this and start using it. The developer's DGT app was hands down the best task manager I've ever used. I'm still working my way around this, but so far, so good. People shouldn't be put off by the learning curve of this and DGT. These apps are BEASTS in terms of customization and functionality! I still can't believe he gives them away at no cost for as long as he has.
Overall OK. Not that intuitive. Not that much added value in a new GUI design. No contact picker for "call a contact", "return call", "SMS a contact", "email a contact"
Great, improves so many aspects (both functions and graphics) of the already excellent predecessor, DGT GTD. 5 stars, still the most flexible and customisable app out there. The dedication of the developers really stands out in this lightweight gem of an app. Kudos
If I create a board then it's not allowing me to set the icon for that board ? Am I missing something? Also the mic icon in the widget stays disabled even after all permissions are granted. On samsung s20fe. Anyone else facing this?
Very useful & versatile app, but it is complex and can be difficult to use, requiring many taps to perform a simple operation at times.
Very clear logical function. Only thing lacking is cross-platform access. After using it for about 8 years, sadly I have to move on.
This is the BEST app for task management. Fully customizable, just spend some time and play with it. You can do anything you ever imagined but could not do with other apps. Congratulations and thanks to the developer!
The original DGT GTD was so much better in every way including being way easier to use and better looking. I have used that since nearly the beginning. Such a shame:(
It's missing the most important widget from the original project by this developer. I would pay for that widget... In the mean time I'm stuck in the original app
Nice, modern interface. I hope this app will also have toodledo sync capability.
I've tested many GTD apps, e.g. Nozbe, Todoist and this app I like the best. I think it is worth of paying for the value, the idea which stays behind it and to motivate and appreciate developer.
Long term regular DGT GTD user here. This will be a great app when there can be a sync with toodledo. Currently you can only import, which is kind of pointless.
Excellent program following on from DGT GTD. Small niggle - can't put a time of 01:00 for a task, it reverts to 02:00, otherwise, well done.
I have used gtd now started using soda, the only downside is there seems to be no way to sync with Google calendar.
Tried it a year ago, diaried to come back a year later. Now it works excellently. I've deleted Todoist even though I have 6 months to go on the annual £35 I paid. It has definitely increased my efficiency! I am 82 (with a memory to match) and I have well over a hundred chores which keeps me efficient. Not for the less bright though as you need to know what you are doing. Go for it, its totally free.
