Diarium — Private Diary / Daily Journal

I just started using this app. I really like the simplicity of the app and clean layout. Only thing that I wish was added was an option to write multiple journal entries in a day. I've noticed that there are other apps there that support multiple entries in a day. Maybe this app can do that too! If not, maybe a way to insert a photo, so it can divide the journal into sections, rather than photo being inserted only on the bottom. Other than that, overall it's a great app.

I've only been using Diarium for a short while but so far I really like it. So many apps do not sync with the device calender so that was a plus right off. I also needed rich text formatting which this app offers. I really like the up to date professional appearance of the app. I'm having trouble getting Microsoft to do to work with the app even after checking the to do app for settings, etc. I am really looking forwardto using Microsoft to do with DiariumHelp would be appreciated there.

With Diarium, I believe I've found what I've been looking for: simple and powerful. Most importantly, cross-platform. What a freedom! Update：With all the updates, Diarium has gotten even more interesting to use. Consider me having given 4.8 ⭐ Still waiting for color alphabets or something like highlight to accentuate some texts.

Wonderful diary/journal app with just the right amount of features and a pleasantly clean and undistracting interface. It's great to be able to sync between phone and desktop (you have to buy the app separately for each device but this is a bargain considering it's a one-off payment and no monthly subscription!). Thanks to the developer for a great app!

Fantastic app, I moved from journal it to diarium because of privacy concerns. Journal it has access to your personal entries while Diariums privacy policy makes it clear they don't. It has all the same features I relied on. The only thing I would like is when clicking on a day if it showed the images at the top above the title rather then at the bottom, and maybe an option on each day to show pictures as a line of thumbnails or a big image you swipe through to see others on that day.

I LOVE this app and it was not because Diarium was the only journal app I've tried. I tested TONS of journal apps before making Diarium my ONLY journal app. I have used this app daily for nearly two years. I still test new journal apps all the time because I'm curious but have never found a comparable product. I love the looks and feel and the fact that I can save in WORD or WEB page and save back up files on Google Cloud. The only two things that I am not crazy about is when I search, Diarium correctly brings up the correct entries where the search word is but it does not highlight the word, so I have to read through the entire entry to find the word. My eyes are poor and I need a big yellow or red banner on the word, or at least a good bold feature on the word. The other thing is that I wish the attachments would show up inside the entry where I attach them instead of all of them being posted at the bottom. Regardless, this is by far the BEST app (and I love their windows app too).

This is the most complete journal app. Only one pain point that really bothers me. On Android, often I want to switch apps in the middle of editing a journal entry (e.g. to copy something from the web to my journal entry). When I switch apps while editing my entry, then switch back to Diarium, I expect the editor for the current entry to be open still so I can keep typing away, but instead it reverts to the timeline page (to sync changes I suppose). If there's a way to fix this, I'd be so happy!

Best diary app I've used so far. I have backloaded decades of entries (over 1GB including pictures) and it's coping fine unlike my previous app. Nice interface and easy to add entries as the day goes on. Had a little trouble with synchronisation when I installed it on a new phone, but found that I had to leave the phone absolutely alone to get on with it until it completed, and then everything was fine. Now the data is all loaded it synchronises very smoothly.

Edited: The developer is very responsive and keen to fix any problems. Best app out there I've found for sure. It's great that you can sort with tags, I save a lot of entries for work and being able to sort based on projects etc is very helpful Great app, but there's a few bugs that are very irritating. My biggest peeve of this app is the notifications: you can either set it to once a day (which does not produce any notification) or "until I make an entry" which produces a notification like every 20 minutes. I'd late to be reminded once in the evening and that's all but this is apparently not an option. Also the fingerprint protect is pretty hokey, it is often slow to activate and leaves your work unprotected until it does

Just bought iOS version The fonts provided as of now seem sufficient. Was wondering if there is a way to log into the diary from a web page. It is actually very convenient to make entry on the laptop with a large keyboard. I understand that there is an associated microsoft instance of the app. But through web login one is not bound to a single machine making it all the more convenient and accessible to write a journal.

It's the best diary I've ever had. No subscription, available for Windows (Separate payment but it's worth it) and the developer is active with regular updates. I decided to give 3 stars because I am disappointed with the search and the lack of PDF export. If I type a word to search among my entries the app just shows me the day and I have to manually scroll down and find it. I would like to have the word marked in a color of my choice and the app to be smarter and guide me there automatically.

I really like this app, so I paid for the premium version. It's clean, well-developed, and doesn't follow the subscription model, which I appreciate. Additionally, it has a lot of customization options, including adding weather info and Fitbit data to your entries. Love this app!

This is a terrific diary app. Congratulations! Also, I recently changed phones as the old one gave up the ghost on me. I was amazed at how easy it was to recover and transfer the data from the old phone to the new one. One regret: the photos didn't carry over. But at least all the text entries were saved.

Brilliant. I've recently installed this app on my phone, 8“tablet,and 10“ tablet. Only 1 small payment per platform.!!! - Installs went well. Next I backed up 7years of data from previous journal app to Google drive Imported flawlessly frm that backup Those entries mostly daily, and often lengthy. All entries synchronises flawlessly across those 3 devices. I had a few minor glitches but believe all were due to being totally new to this app & more-or-less simultaneous installs. GET IT now!

This app has come a long way since my first review many years ago. It is miles ahead of other apps and has great journaling functionality built into it. I use it whenever and wherever I travel to document my adventures. I export that into a photo book later. I only wish I used daily at home.

Well done on the app 👍 It's very polished, stable and easy to use! Will definitely be purchasing when my trial is up. Only feature I'd like to see is the ability to attach a mood to an entry and have that tracked via a graph over a period of time.

So far this app is great. No ads, it all works well, and I love that I can add pictures to express my feelings and show my day. The only I think needs to be improved on is I would love to have a feature where you add songs that you have been listening to throughout the day that explain your mood and feelings.

I have used Diarium now for a few years. I am now updating my review. I really cannot say enough good about Diarium! It is beautiful, slick, and feature rich. The developer is great and responsive. I will never go back to other journaling apps.

Fantastic app. Just wish there were emojis. Ok I researched my hp chromebook and couldn't find an onscreen keyboard I DID find an input setting that will bring them up from the bottom taskbar!! Perfect! I love that it can remind me if I forgot to journal that day! Thanks Diarium!

I love this app. Pay a one off small subscription. Synchs perfectly with other android devices plus my win 10 laptop and onedrive. Easy to use and intuitive. Nothin fancy no ads for the paid version.

Good overall, but I can't figure out how to hide calendar events, and I am currently left with a UI I don't love, because of the template system. I rate lower than 4 because of the intrusive rating prompt, this could be made subtle, in the settings perhaps.

Almost 5 stars! Wish the app would get the EXIF data from images to set the data automatically. Now it takes too much time to add things to dates far in the past. I purchased the windows-app and prefer to use that one over this android app become it's more friendly.
