Best game I've seen in a while... This review many years late
The most fun I have had with a dice based game in quite a long time. Once you pick up some decent gear and a good stock of mana, it becomes about 50/50 luck and strategy. Prior to that it can be quite difficult as it is much more luck based. I have made it to world 2 and am greatly looking forward to seeing how far I can go. :D
Beat world 0 in first sitting, the easiest way imo is to use ice set armor and grab a slaugh tome. Watched a bunch of ads to complete this setup in one play through but worth it. No point in playing after world 0 since there doesn't seem to be any new effects, spells or sets.
Game doesn't pester you for a review, doesn't shove ads in your face, and is generous with the currency. Some bosses are way too weak (like the reroll boss, skeletroll) and a few like tantrum king are too hard. Overall, plays well and is a good timekiller.
Could be great if stage 8 boss wasn't 100% pure luck. I reroll and he rerolls... Great makes rerolling pointless. So you play this game for an hour to get there, only to find you can't beat it. A game designed around you failing repeatedly until you've amassed a large amount of gems so you can maybe complete a run is in other words... A giant waste of time.
The game need to change a little bit. All are perfect. The only thing need to be fixed is let us use our money to keep CONTINUE the match. It's really annoying when i played up to stage 6 with 800 damage and a nice critical damage then down to 160 again. I have played again and again for 3 4 times. Please fix that. By the way i love this game
There's no end in sight! I have gone thru 7 stages but still on world 0. The items cant be sorted yet and theres no way to compare stats on something you own to something you want to buy. Leaving the store window throws out the opportunity to buy. As it is all randomly generated it feels fair and fresh every time.
I absolutely love it! It brings me back to the 8-bit age, with the sounds and look. Gameplay is fun and simple, yet challenging and exciting. The only change I could think of making is the ability to compare your items to the ones in the shops, in order to see which one is better.
I would raise the stars but I'm just wasting my time I keep loosing on dice roll till when I have less than 2 mana I win the roll I'ma delete this
It would be cool if this game had a PvP effect where your rolls through the game are matched up through the levels with other players rolls. Basically a score board. Your reward, being on the score board.
Enjoying the game a good bit, good time waster and a good game for the casual player. Only thing I would really like to see is if you guys could add a way to sort the inventory. Spend way too much time cycling through to compare equipment.
Great game, loved playing it and i'm not sure why people are complaining about specific levels or about how this game is luck-based. The title is literally "Dice Mage". Take a guess how dice work. Spoilt crybabies who can't handle when life doesn't go their way
A very satisfying game. Every time I play it I get sucked in for hours at a time. The only downsides I can see is that having to start from the beginning again after you die can be slightly annoying, especially when you've made progress. The other downside is not being able to sell your already owned items while looking at the shop. Other than that I love this game. It's the only game I have on my phone and it will be for a long time!
Fun for a little while, but gameplay is too deterministic. You end up doing the same stuff in the same situations over and over again with no real decisions to make.
A Simple concept that is executed surprisingly well. The art style suits the game play and the game play, while repetitive at times, is fun and very creative. I hope they continue to add content
Really like the game but I can't progress anymore because the level made the boss unreachable. He's too far away from another tile to register him as unlocked.
Had a lot of fun with this game except I lost all my progress. It's fun though it kinda gets repetitive after a while.
Great dice based combat system but I'd like a mode where all progress is lost when you die, or at least an option to reset my game.
Continually being forced to start over at level 1, you get bored before you get back up to a level with any challenge at all.
Too easy. With a specific setup you can just take whatever roll you get and never die. Only a few item possibilities so too easy to become invincible
Spent the 2$ for 40 gems to support developers and I didn't receive them, I mean it's only 2$ so it isn't a huge deal, but be that as it may, I would like some kind of reimbursement due to the faulty payment system in this game. Overall enjoy this game but I won't go any higher in rating due to this fact
For a first time release game I've had lots of fun with it and no complications of any sort
Fun little game but no exit button. Makes you wonder what it is doing in the back!ground that it needs to run all the time.
It is a good balance of luck and strategy but I can't watch ads for gems and it is too hard to start over
A really good game, but does get repetitive after a certain point.
Amazing Rouge like loot game to kill time with. It does get a little frustrating to have to grind all the way back up levels after you die however.
Why I saw my friend play it I was like that looks boring... I was wrong it's actually a pretty awesome game
Solid game. Cute little rogue-lite kind of game. Could use some balance passes as the game scales really quickly. I hit the wall pretty early on and got bored.
Nice game, but the inventory system is unacceptable. Sort button of any kind would be really nice. Loot kept in categories would be optimal.
