An elegant app. I do think the numbers rolled in the dice should be more obvious- as it is now, the rolls are the same grayed out font (which is small) as the other text generated, so it would be a lot more useful if my eye could see the rolls more immediately. I would also like to be able to hit the "Roll" button to roll the same set of dice I had previously selected again, instead of having to type it in each time. Nice work otherwise :)
I just installed this and haven't used it much yet. Already I see one important feature that's either missing or hard to find: roll again. That is, if I've just rolled something, there should be a quick and easy way to repeat it. Just hitting "Roll" again would be ideal. The overall rating might change as I give it more of a try out.
Quite useful, but would love to see the following options: 1) the ability to reroll certain dice results (eg reroll all 1s) 2) 'exploding' dice (eg roll another d6 for every roll of a 6) 3) the inclusion of Fudge dice (2 sides marked with a plus and 2 with a minus) 4) Averaging dice (marked 2,3,3,4,4,5) I realise that sounds like a lot, but would make a good app even better!
Very very nice little tool with everything I need for generating probability curves. The only thing I miss is a "between" (two values) option in the "Chance to roll..." section. Other than that, it's great!
Great idea. It would be easier if you could just enter "d" instead of choosing from a few dice (also choosing any number of sides would be nice). I wish it had more features, as others have said, but it's still good.
Would be useful to have dice roll cumulative distribution curves, comparisons, spell/attack hot keys and standard deviation + skewness calculations. Also would be great to have it on F-Droid.
Would love to see reroll features. Many table top games have things like 5d6, reroll all 1's. Would love to be able to compare this to other rolls
Slow to reroll, as you have to manually type out the formula again and again. Great as a dice calculator.
Great App. Would love to see the dice syntax guide in the app itself for those of us who need reference from time to time.
Does exactly what I want. Would be 5 stars if I could figure out how to do roll xdy and drop lowest
Works great, I just wish clicking roll would repeat the previous calculation.
hi not userfriendly it is like a calculator app, but I couldn't undrestand how it works.
Great app, but would love option to reroll 1's and 2's on the dice.
Very versatile for gamers that use many different dice and like to know the stats.
Was hoping for something similar to anydice but this app is (still?) very very basic for dice statistics
Download the app then try and guess how it works. Deleted.
I like the standard deviation breakdown.
I've been looking for an app to replace my venerable dice roller, which was removed from the Play Store due to its author no longer updating it. Out of all the options I've tried on the Play Store this is the only one which documents each individual die in a roll. The app is almost perfect, but there were a couple of minor issues I noticed. The 1 and 3 buttons are swapped from their expected locations, which affects usability somewhat; a quick decompiling of the app and some quick XML edits will fix this. A quick help system would be useful, if only to explain what H and L do (keep highest or keep lowest).
A nice little dice roller with statistics. Slightly disappointed with the inability to add modifiers to each die individually - that is, it only permits (3d6)+3, there is no way to get 3(d6+3). Otherwise very nice.
5 stars, but could you add frequency distribution to the statistics? Percentages are nice, but I would like to see the actual number of times each result would be seen if every option in the spread was rolled once.
I like this app, very useful but could add the feature of roll dice and then subtracting the lowest. This is used in DnD for stats 4D6 take the lowest
Can you add an option to show competing dice rolls. For example, how often does the sum of 5 dice beat that of 4 dice? Thanks.
Can you put in an option to allow rolling 0s? I need to count # of successful rolls instead of the sum. Either an option to specifically do that, or to allow a 0 ( a failure) would do the trick.
Very useful app. I use it, as I'm sure many others do, for TTRPGs. One, and only one feature I could hope for; the ability to overlay two graphs and compare those results. I know very little about statistics and even less about programming, so I don't know how difficult such a thing would be, but the ability to compare the results of two different probability distributions would be amazing. Often times in TTRPG, especially when taking on the role of game master or homebrewer, the ability to compare the outcomes of two different dice rolls with different modifiers against one another is an extremely useful ability in balancing encounters or designing new items/abilities.
