It's a good app, all teams use it. Only issue we've seen is random people who are Fans can record by accident. We've had some interesting videos during games get recorded. One of a person in the bathroom. Has happened to a few teams in our org. It's too easy for people to record by accident.
The app is very intuitive and easy to use. One suggestion - have a one-click option at the start of a game to start every batter with a 1-1 count since some leagues play that way. Then, the coach doesn't have the hassle of recalculation pitching stats when the score keeper doesn't do the tedious manual override for each batter.
I am a coach of a competitive girls soccer team. Game Changer has been a GREAT app to communicate and keep our team calendar. Last year, I was out of town and missed an important game, but the live score feature helped keep me updated with the live score and player stats, as plays happened. It was really great!!!! Highly recommend this app!
Thanks for the calendar sync tip! I love this app and the second app for watching the games. These help so much! I am hoping to get our park using it for communication with the teams. If you do plan the filtering/printing option it would also be nice to have the option to filter out practices out of each of the schedules we are viewing to print or screenshot for family...but not a deal breaker I suppose. Those just might confuse family. Just suggestions from a parent. Thank you so much!
I have been using game changer original and now the team manager. Both are here y easy to use . And whenever I did have any issues with the live streaming. My emails sent to Game changer support was a very quick response. Now I love the app. Haven't had any issues for months now. Thank who ever developed this app. It is Awesome 👍👍. And the bonus game changer automatically sync's with MaxPreps.
I have been using this app for a couple of years now. They have made several improvements over that time that are really helpful. I use it for soccer. They have now included the ability to track stats for the sport. They also added streaming, and just recently added the ability for fans/family to stream as well. The customer service has been second to none. Sam has been excellent.
This app is a great idea, but maybe could be executed better for Android. Team scores on the play-by-play screen displayed only single digits until I reduced the font size on my phone. (Thanks to the developer for suggesting this.)
The app is improving and has neat features like ai generated game recaps, auto video clipping of hits, announcer overlay to live video etc. When it comes to stats though it lacks. There's no runs created, defense innings played etc that other scoring apps have. I'd like to see the stats expanded and the ability to turn stats on/off based on what you want to see. Also, had the app update in the middle of scoring a game which caused some confusion.
This company needs to get their act together and get down to one app. I pay for this one and now they want to require me to pay for their classic version which the highschool coach is using. Not paying twice just because they can't update instead of creating a whole second version of the same app! Which gamechanger is it on the green app or the white app? That's what everyone always is asking because of this. Clean house gc!
It's a solid app. Syncs nicely with the league info, both rosters and schedule. Easy to use for me at least. Couple of suggestions: put in assists with goals, not separately / also, if you can sync with the league data, sync to the standings as well / use the app to configure game formation too.
With the old version, I would pull up video on my phone and rotate so it was full screen...then smart share to my big screen TV. This version will not allow the screen on my phone to rotate at all! I know it's NOT an issue with my phone because I've tested it multiple times with YouTube videos. FYI.. I have a brand new Samsung S21 Ultra. What gives??? I'm missing our nieces' games!!! 😐
I love this app. Have used it for the past few season. I have both classic and the newer version. I had my accounts synced and when I renewed my subscription it no longer worked between the two apps. I now have to pay the same subscription for both apps because it renewed through the newer version. Had it renewed through the classic I wouldn't have to pay for two subscriptions. Please explain how this is right? Why would I have to pay if it's renewed through one but not though the other?
Lately everytime I score one of our games it will not let me finalize it. We have 3 games that are scored and done but wont finalize. I absolutely LOVED this app for scoring the games until recently. It also says our coach is an Admin but won't save any line ups he puts in. Please help!
PROS- First of i like how user friendly the app is. CONS- when scoring you don't get a full view of the field. Stats don't add up. Ex. When calculating an era manually it is way different than what gc is showing. Not sure what formula they use for calculations Super slow loading at times
Very convenient to use. Nice tool to navigate a complicated tournament. Not just about scheduling convenience, but alsoich better connection to feel other teams and the entire tournaments!
Very nice way to communicate with everyone on the team! Great way to find out information for practices and games. It even has the Google link for every field, so you know right where to go. It also gives reminders for upcoming practices, games and events.
Great app for live scoring, live stream games, and for Stat analysis. But would like to know how to toggle from portrait to landscape view when scoring baseball. Have seen other people have the option.
Charged 3 times in one day for a account that is supposed to be active and can't listen to a game or see stats. When we try to unmute or anything page pops up to pay to use. This started last week and still no response from GC to fix. It's playoff time!!!!
Was able to subscribe after several hours; finally accepted new Google PW. 3/19/22 Won't let user subscibe to annual plan. Was forced to change Google password; then, after that, got error message password was wrong! Like I said 2 years ago, IT STINKS!!!!! Stinks. User has to download Team Manager to get Game Changer to work. Even w/ Community/Family Pass, neither app shows plays, stats, write-up of game. Last year's version was perfect; this year's stinks. App fees are this year's priority.
Since the latest update, the app takes forever to open, If it even opens at all.... update: it still doesn't open most of the time, even on my pixel 6 pro. It does open more often on my tablet, but not on my phone.... Edit: the app only opens in my pixel 6 pro after I uninstall and reinstall. Once I close the app, I have to uninstall and reinstall again to open it.... Second edit... Whatever that issue was seems to have been corrected and I can now open the app with regularity.
I have been scoring and doing stats for youth baseball games for about 25 years. Game changer is very easy and saves me a lot of time after the game doing stats. Statistics are all computed immediately and accurately at the conclusion of the game. There are more stats than you can shake a stick at.
When the coaches are on vacation "sometimes different time zone" the scheduled game reflects the time zone that they are in when they schedule the game. Also syncing calendar (even after refresh screen) does not reflect current schedule. Otherwise great app!
The app is good with ita basic functions. Displaying upcoming events, cancelations, etc. But the main function that we like to use is the live stream and every time I try to put the stream in full screen it exits the the live steam
Terrible experience. It has charged me for the monthly and yearly both. You contact support and they dont respond. If I try to manually switch it just says error. After I have paid the 60 dollars for the year subscription I dont want to cancel, but that might be the only way to not have this app keep stealing 10 dollars a month from me
This app doesn't work when subscribing to premium. At first, I signed up for the 7 day trial which said I had Subscription but I can't access any of premium features. Then, I canceled and sign up to pay the premium since it told me I am no longer a new user which is fine since I just wanted to get premium access so I can be the score keeper for my son's team. But I still can't access premium tools. What a waste of time. Contacted Support to no avail.
I use this for school sports as well as my own. It's super convenient to just pop in and out to check stats, game scores, and repay or catch up on what you've missed. I love game changer!
I think the App is great, but is there a way for someone to keep score and another to have the access of advance stats such as spray charts, it didn't seem to work in the demo game I did. I do have the paid version.
Purchased premium today. First game had a glitch but was able to watch. 2nd game started 40 minutes ago and nothing but the sound of the crowd. It there something I need to be doing? This is beyond frustrating.
I'm not getting notifications to my phone. As a coach, people send me messages through the app and I'm not getting notified. I dont see the messages until I go to send one myself. April 19 - still not receiving message notifications, I have no clue someone from my team sends me a message until I open the app itself. Being a head coach this is not good, I have been reading more and more threads of people having the same issue. This needs fixed or it's going to be time to go somewhere else.
I love game changer and utilize it to the fullest. I'm the streamer for our time. I am always looking at stats. I would like to suggest a couple enhancements. It would be nice to be able to either search through plays by key words, or player name. Or in the stats a way to click on a specific stat for a player that would pull up the plays. IE, in baseball, I would like to be able to find easily the errors for a player. Also, it would be awesome to be able to stream to other platforms like facebook or youtube.
