Dictus
Dictation system: Speak one or more sentences to Dictus and convert them to text. The text can be sent as SMS or e-mail, or copied and used in any program on your Android unit.
Speak clearly, using everyday language, without background noise, and you will experience excellent recognition. The text may then automatically be read aloud by one of several synthetic voices, as any text from any program on your SmartPhone, e.g. e-mail, may be copied to Dictus and read aloud.
It is up to 5 times faster recording and recognizing a text with Dictus than tapping it into a SmartPhone. For dyslexics in particular, Dictus provides invaluable benefits.

Back to an almost limitless number of uses per day. Thanks guys. It does work great but wish I could set it as a default text input method.
I'm getting to master it a little bit better so I'm able to stay within 400 limit. Im very positively impressed by this app. Hope that in the future there will be no limitations. Thanks Quality of recognition software is very good. however the 400 limit in a paid software is annoying. Consider this input method becomes most useful with large text in which case the limit is easily reached leaving most of the work to normal typing. Until limit is removed it wll remain partially useful app.
I tried about five times each in both English and Danish. The error rate was so high that I would never be able to use this app. By contrast the built-in voice recognition on my Android 4.1. phone works perfectly - but only in English unfortunately. Of course I tried to cancel the download, but it had just passed the 15 minute limit. Not really fair that they won't let you try it out online before purchasing. Thank goodness I didn't buy a version for my PC - they're really expensive. Hopefully they'll get there one day, but they're certainly not there yet.
I would recommend this app to anybody
Surprisingly competent app, as good as I could hope for, simple to use, worked with no set up. Reports are now so easy. Struggled with medical jargon. I can leave behind DragonNS at last, & work away from PC. Will need data or wifi connection. Reads your text back in any foreign accent - hilarious! Can't translate but you can just paste into other translation apps.
The application works perfectly unfortunately the one thing that I don't like about it is that you can only use it for 40 times with in 24 hour. This makes it so much for straighting when it hits shedding itself down the moment you stop speaking so you have to hit record multiple times one time it actually shut down all by itself and I lost everything that I have previously recorded that's why the feature 40 times within a 24 hour is just not plausible they're really needs to be a revision to this rule regarding the software especially since it's a purchase software if there is possibly a way to purchase an unlimited access it is worth the money to me and I'm sure to others who would utilize the service please consider this in the future.

It just doesn't work I speak into it and it comes out as a scramble of words
It doesn't get better than this for voice dictation to text . You can even send dictation via sms, email or to another program. I tested and tried others this is the best.!
This is the First software I've used, with a direct link to a remote server, to perform operational commands. I agree with Ken, it's Amazing. It has worked nearly Perfect, for it has to rely so little on your device. All is really needed, is a Quality, High Performance, and Fast device, such as the Motorola Atrix PDA, and others. This product is almost as good as The Nuance Dragon Naturally Speaking (Dictation) for the PC. It is a Worthy and Proven technology addition, developed for Android. Excellent Job Developers! No doubt you will continue to enjoy much success.
Main issue is that the voice to text conversion itself is poor and gets many words wrong. Interface is also poor - need to keep pressing the record button for long text and keyboard editing capability (e.g. to correct errors) is very clunky.

The app would be awesome if it wouldn't stop the moment you take a short break (1-2 seconds). Please disable this "feature" and I am sure that many people (including myself) will rate it 5 stars. Actually, it deserves them!
