Garbage does not work "sorry try again" "error you don't have access to domain"
It didn't take me long to determine the search results for a 6502 processor were absolutely wrong. None of my search results matched what I found using the web. I am disappointed Digi-key doesn't invest more in this app. They are a great company with good customer support. While you can search the web a bad/broken app can negatively impact sales. I would redesign the UI. Allow a dark mode and large font. Connect it to product DB and develop an API we can query. Profit.
Been using Digikey since the days of their "Digi-Keyer" and parts advertised in the back of Popular Electronics in the 1970's. Great service, reasonable prices, fast shipping, decent selection except for aerospace connectors. Search function on the app can use some improvement. Overall I am a satisfied customer of 40+ years.
Not good. First time using the app. I wanted to check status of an order but keep getting an error about the connection. Tells me to check my network but everything other than this app is working just fine. Very disappointing as I have been ordering from Digi-Key for decades.
App loads slow, can't view details items in order history. Can't add specific items from order history to cart. Sometimes I can't view any items to purchase, just shows a red loading icon whenever I click anything or search. Need to use the website to order, app doesn't work. Update: App is working with latest update. Still very slow.
It was easy enough to select the product I wanted but when I got to checkout, entered all required, no matter what changes I made to my address, it said my address was invalid. I gave up after numerous attempts. Removing app. DigiKey lost a customer since their app acts like Obama had it created.
After this update, keeps losing my shopping cart. Data sheet functionality hit and miss. Fails to add to cart parts where the minimum quantity is one, says I must add multiples of 2000 or some such amount. Some other errors such as failed to parse when trying to add a part to the shopping cart.
Great to have a mobile experience for designing at odd moments. Helps me be productive instead of wasting time surfing the web. Would give a five star rating if the app had a dark mode for browsing at night. The white interface is blinding and unusable in the dark.
The search function worked just fine. I couldn't load any BOM's I had created. The datasheet download did not work. I have to leave the part I'm viewing to go to a separate Datasheet tab is annoying. I'll stick the website.
Fast shipping, good selection. Just wish web site was easier for someone who doesnt know all the names of products. Just knows what they do or what goes with them, to use. For instance: search for wire clamp, everything that has anything to do with holding a wire to anything should come up. The website you need to know something about electronics to use. Not set up for someone with a part they need that they have no idea what the proper name is.
Used to use this app all the time. They have good prices and fast delivery (even for international), lately though the app is just error after error. I log in then get told I need to log in and around in circles it goes.
After the last major update, the app runs very slow and has a lot off cannot connect to the server errors. Even though I am fully connected to both wifi and 4g lte
I have ordered some parts are and their status is still submitted since 2/11/2018. And there is still no details about ordering procedure on your website or inside an app. How I can order stuff if it is that much confusing. My order is submitted and payment method is added bit still no response on that order for 3-4 days and of is completely not good place to order parts in India the website and app both do not provide complete ordering process. It is completely confusing.
It lurches from one coding error to the next. Now it is throwing a "page not accessible error" when you try to login. The Website accepts user and password just not the app. Not worth the memory space on your phone.
They fixed the crashing I was experiencing, I think they should create a beta channel that people can opt into. This would help alleviate some of the problems they're having I think.
Impressively broken. Can't browse back to a category from a component, sorting limited to a few fields, some filters just don't apply, can't see any filters on categories that are too big when unfiltered.
Please make it possible for the app to log you in directly, i.e. not direct to a web browser for login. This isn't reliable and doesn't always "pass back" successful logins to the app.
Wow this is bad. Impossible to navigate, bad filtering options, then I couldn't access the datasheet. Did they even test it with users? An app should outperform the mobile website but it's actually worse.
App crashes constantly, always logs me out each day, data sheets don't work to well. Items in my cart aren't shared from desktop to mobile. Really needs some re-working.
this app is insanely unreliable and slow. often fails to do things like load account-related information. needs a ton of work.
Functionality is broken in the app, can't get data sheets at all. Use the desktop version, far better and useable.
Every time they update this app it gets worse. Last update, I couldn't open any pdfs This update I can no longer do anything. It just says server error
No access to BOMs. Still no night theme, even though the release notes for the latest version say night theme was added. There is no option for night theme in the settings.
when i order for personal use...they keep asking for the company trade license... i used my company address as shipping address, they keep on insisting until i decided to give up. not a good place to buy online, it will waste your time. for customer satisfaction i will rate this a very poor. don't install this app...
Attempting to log in opens an external browser window, but this browser is not the one set as my default. Thus, it is not possible for me to log in.
Tells me my account is awaiting activation but no email ever comes. Of little use to me as I cannot log in and get the functionality of it.
Poor app/website. User experience pretty bad - e-commerce gone haywire. The following are the issues I had to face: 1. Login doesn't happen until next day. 2. Cart checkout doesn't happen (Checkout button grayed out). Keeps saying that "Unable to connect to the server" on checking or trying to add information regarding billing. 3. There is no sync between the website and app - cart shows empty in website even when. Such a good platform but affected by basic ignored issues.
