Serious issues have developed with this app. When viewing from month to month, there will be a full calendar on one month and the next month is less than 1/2 filled out. I set what I want to see on each calendar and then the next time I open the app it has selected everything so I have duplicate holidays, etc.. I have used this app for years but if this doesn't get fixed I will have to switch to something else. Please fix it!!!
This combines a dozen calendars for me, seamlessly. I love that it's interface is very straight forward & intuitive. I've been using this for 2 years, the paid version for 18 mo. Never had an issue. When I did have trouble starting up the paid version I was actually able to get support - as in a live person to talk with. Secondarily, the themes are modern looking and aesthetically pleasing to me, though functionality is my main concern the designs are a nice plus. Nothing negative to say whatsoever. Worth it.
Uninstalling. My major issue is that it discards changes if you close the edit window without saving. I use Fastnote a lot, and it automatically saves on closing. I would keep Digical if it at least popped up a warning. From the teachings of the ancient masters: "No matter what happens, don't lose the user's work." - Brian Kernighan in "Software Tools".
Used to really like this calendar app. Has been rock-solid reliable for some years. I've yet to find another app with the brilliant combined month/schedule view that Digical has. However, there has been no innovation in recent years. None. Biggest problem for me is one can't add a Drive attachment. Still. Also the notification snooze options are very limited. And formatted text notes end up with html tags... 🤷🏾♂️ So, with regret, I'm moving to Google's calendar app for now.
A simple, easy-to-use calendar with colour-coding. The only issue I have, is that I would love the option (and pay for it) to backup all details as I have set them out. I keep my mother's spots on it too. If there are issues, Google calendar backup, but alters all the colour-codings I have set. I do export it for safety from time to time.
Almost perfect. I love everything about this app, except one major issue for me. Editing an existing appointment is much more difficult than other calendars. Most other calendars allow to just touch an existing event in day mode or week mode and simply drag and drop it where I need it. This app makes me go into the actual event to make a time edit which is frustrating and annoying. This can be an amazing app with just that missing feature.
I purchased the full version. Unfortunately, the widgets no longer work properly, ie. freezing, going completely blank with a error message and contact email. I have emailed more than once and nothing had been done yet, troubleshooting isn't the solution. Every time a refresh or restart is done, the widgets forget how to do life. I would LOVE to be able to update this review to something wonderfully if the issues get resolved.
I have been using DigiCal+ for around 6 years. This is a great interface between my Outlook calendar events and my phones and tablets. I have set up on one page the full month and another page the daily events, that can be scrolled down to subsequent days. It's a stable app, easy to use. The + purchase allows for more customisation and with it.
This is by far my most favorite calendar app. And I've tried them all. The UI is designed well, the overall appearance is easy and pleasing. The ONLY thing I feel could be super useful is to have a built in task manager/to-do list. I had to download a separate app for those purposes, but I wish I didn't have to. I think DigiCal premium subscription is well worth it and one of the most affordable out there, but even the basic free app is wonderful!
Good level of customization. Could have a few extras though. Most important would be the ability to export and import widget configurations (useful after full device resets or migrating to new devices). Second, the ability to display week number in day list widget. And third, custom calendar colors instead of a fixed list.
Reason for the rank, i am satisfied with my purchase, but was hopeful it would be more configurable, ie allow for different fonts & placement of things in the widget... Ultimately i wish you could use the actual Calendar as the widget, i like the setup, cause i like to have the weather forecast icons shown in the monthly view, but in the widget they only show on the "monthly text" option, not the "monthly" one & i prefer the monthly option cause it shows events at the bottom but no weather icons
Great app! Integrates well with Google Calendar. The widgets are very customizable and include dark themes which I very much appreciate. I've been using this app for over a year and the only issue I've had is that occasionally the widget stops updating and I have to remove/replace it. Otherwise it works phenomenally well :)
It is a good calendar app with nice looking widgets. But on Samsung S10+ with latest updates, the widgets stop working after a time. They will fail to load. The only fix is to uninstall and reinstall DigiCal. I have tried their suggestions on their support page, and the widgets still fail to load after a time.
Great app - best calendar out there. I've been using this for 4 years or so. You can link to Google and other calendars. There's lots of views to please everyone and numerous size widgets. You can show UK holidays. The reminders are fab and very flexible - daily weekly or yearly reminders to suit. I contacted Support a while ago and they sorted the issue very quickly..... Can't complain about this app at all 😄😄
It worked fine on my previous phone now I have to change views everytime I open it with my Samsung galaxy s22 ultra. I set it with the star for weekly agenda but it is constantly opening it in day view. I'm a little upset because I've been using this app for so long. It getting annoying.
This app was great until it stopped working with recurring appointments. Now all my recurring appointments just show up as one day instead of multiple days. And Digical still hasn't fixed this. Very disappointed.
I really love this app!!! It has so many amazing layouts and colors. It is my favorite calendar app! I wish changing the dates to events was a little bit easier, but other than that this is the perfect calendar app!! Please continue to improve on this! I bought the full version! Great job to the developers!
I bought this app years ago ( march 5, 2014) and I've loved it ever since. Something went screwy with my settings though where I was getting ads so I decided to purchase it again (sometimes when you do this on other apps, it will tell you that you've already purchased the app (if you actually did) and then it unlocks the premium features) this time around though I ended up getting charged I'm not sure why but not that big of a deal it's been my go-to calendar app since forever.
More useful and intuitive that the Google calendar app. I really like the split layout of the month view (month on the top half of the screen and daily agenda in the bottom portion of the screen) and how I can scroll by swiping the month left or right, or can scroll through the agenda days by swiping up and down. Very useful and intuitive to my mind.
The widget customisation is the main reason i purchases this product, i enjoy a nice background but also seeing my calendar. on that regard its really good, but my biggest issue is you can't see or add reminders so I can't really use this app because I find reminders on the Google calendar a must to go through my day. whish they could add reminders to the whole app.
Such a brilliant tool, especially with my onset Alzheimer's, although there's so much more to explore, there is so much you can enjoy as soon as you download the app. Very complimenting are the large amount of downloads which, in addition, rail to personal preference of an aspect which could appeal to your needs at a cost of mate pennies
very good overall, love the widget and its many options! still, 4 stars instead of 5 because of one missing but important feature: having the option to start the week on Monday (in applicable views) ! I can understand that USA may be your most important market, but there's also the rest of the world, and for the rest of us starting weeks on Sunday feels just wrong and annoying! Otherwise, great work!
I'm so glad this finally transitioned to my chromebook! I love how it works with all of my Google calenders and the extra colour options help to keep it all neat and organized. I'm so happy I paid for the full version.
Really good calendar.... I don't like any other calendars I have ever found in the Google store. I found this one and it is absolutely wonderful. it allows me to customize the calendar and it's very easy to make appointments and to sync it to Google calendars so then my appointment show up. I like the way it looks on my phone screen. Really this is like the best calendar I have found yet.
This is by far the BEST calendar app I've ever used!! It has widget support with multiple colors for your appointments. It automatically displays the holidays of your country. It syncs with your phone's built in calendar without problems. You can set the specific time & has options for weekly, monthly, yearly or daily. It has its own to-do list. I can see all my meetings for the entire month as a widget in my phone. I know exactly what days I'm free, or what days I'm not. Makes my life easier!
