I used QuickSSHd before making the switch to this one. This one is vastly superior in that this one doesn't crap out after about five minutes, after 45 minutes of casual browsing and various large file transfers, it is still going strong. I am currently copying the contents of both of my SD cards to my computer. We'll see how that turns out. However, -1 star for me not being able to change the built-in user name. Edit: Well, it craps out on really big files, but it seems like it only happens when the phone gets too hot from a lot of transfers, still nothing like QuickSSHd.
I use this on my Android-based media player which now doubles as a backup server. For this purpose, I do wish it has a start on boot option so I don't need to turn it on after every reboot. Another request is for an integrated rsync. Else now I need to manually copy the rsync executable from elsewhere so I can use rsync for backing up my linux box to the "server".
Would like to see support for client certificate authentication so I don't have to enter a password when connecting to my phone
Finally an SSH client that works without rooting the phone on galaxy. looking forward to updates and more digicontrol services.
It work with internal storage, and can transfer files from ex. SD card too. But it can't copy from PC to external SD card or do any changes here ...
It makes it easier to copy files to and from the device. Combined with a good terminal program, it gives quick access.
The default password 123 always fails
Integrates nicely with openvpn and does everything I need.
Simply doesn't start on my Nexus 6.
Does the job perfectly.
But why are you using dropbear if you still need openssh for sftp? Why not just use openssh?
Doesn't start on Mi5s
I know we hear it works a bunch in reviews, but this one really does. Finally a ssh(sftp)/scp server to transfer files and all that other good stuff that people rarely mess with.. I was able to connect to my phone without issues. Other programs give errors and for some reason will not work with WinScp for Windows...this one worked without a hiccup. It also works well with Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit just in case anybody is interested before trying. Mad props to the developer of this app..keep on keeping on. P.S. Donations??(smile)
It works! For some strange reason, all other sshd apps can't with my Note. Finally found one that is working!
Works just great! Asus transformer..
Does its job and is easy to configure. I was able to transfer files between my PC and my android phone at speeds of up to 4 Mb/s. Rooting your phone is not required for file transfers. The only factor that is a slight (albeit temporary downside) is that it asks you to install DigiControl, which is an app that manages the ssh service that DigiSSHD uses. But, once you install them both, you're good to go.
