It's adequate. Would like to manage the alarms more, they automatically shut off once you turn them off once, if you had a snooze feature that would shut off for so long then turned back on that would be better. The range is very decent and the fact that you can set custom X and temperature range with their own unique name is pretty cool. Need more flexibility with the alarm settings including different alarms for different probes and custom ringtone like options
If your phone goes out of Bluetooth range of the thermometer, it emits a very loud piercing alarm that is the same as a smoke alarm sound. You can't turn this off or change it to another tone. The first time I used the app I went into my house to collect a dish and spent 10 minutes looking for the smoke! The second time, I couldn't stand the horrible noise and uninstalled the app.
This software seems be unsupported so I don't think I'll be buying the hardware which seems suitable for my needs. There have been reviews about the main problems with this for a long time now so why hasn't the developer updated it yet? No snooze, can't change the alarm sound (and volume on the hardware?). Is it supported or already abandoned? Worrying!
Haven't had a single problem with the app or the thermometer. Does everything I need. No problems with bluetooth myself or the alarms. Only gave 4 stars because I wish you could set timers longer than 240 minutes for long smokes and it'd be cool if there was a widget available.
Seems will not work with new Android update? I don't know. That's what somebody else mentioned. All I know is I went to use it and the app was missing from my phone. Error message received over and over when trying to reinstall from Google Play store. Might as well throw this in the garbage now. What a joke.
Fails more often than not. For some reason the time history for a probe temp restarts when the app isn't used for 30 mins. It would be useful to manually set one of the probs as an ambient temp too.
Horrible. Like many others experience it would not connect. The device is visible to bluetooth but the app won't connect. Tried reset on phone: no dice. Avoid this app and product it is very poor.
App crashes when timer expires. There is a major bug and this company won't fix it. Don't buy this product. Its sold by several other vendors too, probably all have bugs.
APP closes for no reason... the app is up to date and just shuts off for no reason... Garbage APP Update, I've emailed customer service and have yet to get a response...
This app and the associated meat thermometer are exactly what I needed. It's basically perfect. I can't think of a feature I need that this doesn't have. Get this thermometer, and then get this app.
Seems to work well for the price. Happy with purchase. There is a typo on the main unit though. It says "Currest Temp" instead of "Current Temp". Kind of funny.
This app doesn't work but there is an app called easy bbq that works for the device. I figured it was a generic app. Hopefully the developer fixes this one for android
Won't currently install on Android 12. It worked fine on Android 11. Developer notified but too date has not repaired.
It was working great but started disconnecting, and not synchronizing
App isnt installing on Android 12. Doesn't seem like developer is interested in fixing that issue either.
Doesn't pair with the thermometer. The whole thing is being sent back.
Got a new phone and now I can no longer use the app pretty simple just needs to be fixed so it can be used on new phones
This app hasn't worked since I updated to Android 12. Just says "this app cannot be installed".
Can't even install app. Not helpful when you want to use them with a smoker.
Update: Well, no more 'fire alarm' notification. As a matter of fact, no alarms at all anymore. App crashes every time I try and set audible alarm, so vibrate only to notify. Very disappointing to move backwards. Original review : Decent, useful, but why can't I change/modify alarm tones and /or style?? My wife does not like the fire alarm scare in the middle of the night when I am managing a 12 hour smoke!
