This is an excellent, thoughtful and thoroughly enjoyable game. Some easy, some hard and all require concentration. A great way to exercise the mind, have fun and get a lot of satisfaction when a particularly hard one is finally solved. Given it 5 but it really should be 10. Can't recommend it high enough!!
Thrilled to find this but what's with not getting rewards after watching ad? Was working. Also no longer able to mute sound in ads. Not cool as some are so annoying. The Pictures, letter arrangements are clues for the answer which can be a popular saying, maybe quote, havent played many but so far they have been common expressions etc. Enjoying a lot.
It's good, but I've never played before so it took me a while to understand the game, the instructions weren't very useful to someone with absolutely no experience of these types of puzzles. Perhaps some help clues to start of with for beginners. But fun once I understood.
These are WUZZLES, Dingbats have drawings! You need a NATIVE english speaker. Some of these make no sense, some are vague, or wrong clues. Eg: NOWHINERE is "in the middle of nowhere". The word "in", however, is NOT in the middle of the word nowhere. The idea behind Wuzzles is to be OVER LITERAL! They're also supposed to be SHORT! Some of these are a paragraph, that is a logic puzzle, not a wuzzle! You need a NATIVE English speaker! Nothing else will fix this mess! I've loved Wuzzles for years!
Great brain teasers! Many are very cleverly done! Although, some of the phrases are a bit off... I gather this game was developed by a non-American who is not completely familiar with the phrases.
I paid for no ads and it worked for a while but then they came back. There needs to be a disclaimer that it only works for a while. Some of the puzzles are super easy then hard and there is no order. It was definitely fun and kept my attention - getting coins was very helpful.
Lots of word puzzles lots of fun. A few were more confusing due to wording g differences like "one" instead of "you" but overall very entertaining.
Idle fun, but I dislike that I paid for ads to be removed and they came back a few months later. Definitely not paying for the same scam again.
There are many smile-inducing puzzles in here. I wish there was another way to earn the currency that gives hints. Great job on making a nice simple app.
It's definitely challenging on some of the puzzles. Over all a good game.
Fantastic app...challenges my fading grey cells in a good way. And like the best games, maddening and unputdownable (if there's such a word)...
I love the game. It is an awesome and addicting game. That is why I gave it a three star instead of a 1 star. Now I gave it a 3 star instead of a 5 star because I paid to get some letters Before paying the only ads I had was on the bottom of the screen. After paying I got ads between games. I tried to pay for no ads and said I already own it. So why did I pay for no ads and am still getting ads? I tried to look for a contact us but couldn't find any.
Game is really fun. So many cryptic words. Amazing. Also the game is very fair about the ads. Ads do not wreck the game and are fairly delivered. Recommended for any word nerd. downloaded again 3 years later. stuck on same ones as before. LoL
So far its my favorite puzzle game. I'm sad there's only 800 or so puzzles.
It's very amusing game for someone who is into the word games.. The only thing I can't recommend about this game is that the updated and new levels are not released as often as I would like to..
🙃 Really enjoying these clever & interesting lateral brain teasers. My only complaint is the basalt, clay, slate one. It would have been a great puzzle except clay is an incorrect clue. Should swap that word for something like flint, marble, or granite.
Truly enjoyed this game. Totally addictive and really challenging. Learned some new phrases too.
My first review was early 2019. Still enjoying it, and regularly checking for new puzzles. So more, please. It's now Dec 2021. I still check regularly for new puzzles - please do some for the Xmas hols - desparate need!!
Interesting and thought provoking, but limited. No recent updates.
I've had this game for over 2 years. It's fantastic. It's compatible without WiFi, so you can play it on-the-go without using data. The clues are fun and really imaginative. When you are stuck, you can use free coins to help give hints. When you finally get the answer, sometimes it seems so obvious!! Very clever game. Highly recommended! Edit: One of my favourite features is that you can skip any level that you are stuck on and you can go back to finish it later. Fantastic idea in my opinion
A good head scratcher! Variety of difficulty levels.... so far, the only issue I have is the very glitchy "get coins" pop-up menu. At first the video ads weren't available, then they constantly froze. Next, the 'buy coins' wasn't available... what? You don't want me to purchase? Okay, that's a first! The game itself is good though.
I liked this game well enough to finish it. I loved that I could play on my own schedule without being rushed or timed. There were plenty of coins for when I got stuck and I loved getting to choose whether I was given a hint or the solution! I'm probably going to clear the answers and see if I can find them all again without help. There were ads at the completion of each level as expected and I didn't get interrupted every 30 seconds with extra. Great game!
Everyone's taste in games is different; I happen to love word games and puzzles like this. Aside from my personal taste, though, this game is well done. The UI makes sense, the puzzles are solvable (I've seen some *really* illogical clues in similar puzzles), and the hints are both helpful and fairly priced both with regard to in-game currency and the cost of purchasing additional coins. I really love that it's still updating with new levels and I can come back to new ones.
This went bad very quickly. At first it wasn't too hard. Levels were fun and easy, and the phrases were very well known. Then by level 3, phrases turned into entire sentences. Some of the levels were too hard or didn't give enough to let the player to know. Even ones that were easy didn't make sense compared to the puzzle, like "Thinking outside the box" didn't have any indication of the word "think", but just the word "king", which threw me off. It quickly stopped being fun and was too hard.
Overall an enjoyable game. Some of the puzzles are VERY clever & challenging, while some are almost nonsensical (but only a very few). I previously commented that a puzzle that I had submitted may have been changed & used in an alternative manner. This was not the case. A developer and I had the same idea for a puzzle at the same time 😁👍. No harm. No foul.
I was really enjoying this up until recently when the adverts started freezing. I'm stuck on a level and I can't get more coins to help get me clues. It's the adverts I get if I click "get coins. watch a video". It happens every time and freezes the whole game and I have to close it and re open it. I've just discovered if switch to another app and then open it again via my open apps menu that it will play them. It appears to be video ads.
Good idea, but not everything's that simple or overly clear. To go over things you're stuck on, day in day out becomes boring, annoying and frustrating. We have to remember that the expressions we're trying to guess are American, in addition to the spelling of course. Where would we be without biased brainteasers - how about remembering the rest of the world? Remaining stuck indefinitely makes this a complete waste of time/space. Definitely needs some improvement. I had to remove it!
I'm playing mainly in English as a free-time hobby, or in French to really challenge myself and learn something new. As others have said, it's clear there are dialectical differences between US English and the phrases used in this app. Perhaps some things are more common in British English or another form? Although we can rate the puzzles we especially enjoyed, I think it would be helpful to be able to give feedback on specific puzzles where we might suggest a different phrasing for our preferred dialect. And if the whole game could be toggled for regional differences, it would be nice, since language is so local and this is a language game. That said, I already paid for the lifetime ad-removal, and am happy.
