The app for Android devices doesn't work. It tells me I need another version. That link doesn't work. Nothing works. This is completely worthless. The software for Apple devices doesn't work either. It would be useful to know that your product doesn't actually work on two of the three major operating systems befor spending almost $1000 for a useless piece of technology.
Crashes frequently with android. Won't open at all after Samsung update 9 Edit : Tech provided an update which fixed the problem via TeamViewer. It took a while to coordinate but it's fixed now. Now functioning, the Dino-lite has been the single best tool I've aquired in my pest management toolkit.
app just closes even after installing even their unofficial apk. The official app won't even open and it's been at least 6 months now, total garbage an USB microscope is useless if you cant see any images from it. Fix the app for newer versions of android, no idea about IOS compatibility. I'll be editing my review of this device on amazon to reflect the poor support the company shows...
Android 9 issue resolved!!! Not working on Android 9, so I contacted US support and got the following response. Issue resolved, thanks! 1. Download DinoCapture 2.0, version 1.5.36, to your Windows computer (the microscope needs a firmware update). 2. Open DinoCapture 3. Press "Ctrl + Alt + Hyphen(-)" to open the "Dino-Lite Firmware Update" window. 4. Enter the password "12345678" and click "Confirm" 5. Connect the Dino-Lite via USB. 6. A prompt will appear, click "Yes" to continue. (DO NOT DISCONNECT THE MICROSCOPE DURING THE UPGRADE PROCESS) 7. Once the upgrade is completed click "OK" to exit.
Poor quality. Everytime I open app it closes. There are plenty of other microscope apps that work better. Best part of the app is its free.
Not sure what happened but can't use the camera anymore on my S8. Used to work flawlessly now it's broken, installed unofficial apk that is prompted from within the app, just says device not recognized after installing apk
after Android update, it doesn't work anymore. very very frustrating. I need this tool like I need air. so you better do something
Opens for a few seconds and then closes. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, just the same. Used with Dino Lite AM7013MT
Used to work flawlessly with Samsung Galaxy 8. No longer works. Needs support for Andriod 9+. Please update!
New update doesn't work at all on my Samsung SM-T510 tablet or my Samsung Galaxy S8, both running droid 9. Did anyone actually test this update before releasing it? Thanks for wasting my time.
Pls improve further more with update Android version 9 and above because not work for my oppo f11 pro. Pls do it as fast as possible.

Has the developer actually tested this app on cell phones before posting? It needs to operate with a usb to usb c connector plug, or a usb to usb micro connector plug! Every version posted doesn't work on Note 9 for ATT. I also tested on Samsung Galaxy S9 for Sprint & it doesn't work. There's 2 data points. The Robin Gomez post that tells you how to upgrade firmware on your device actually makes this app work. The fact that the developer still not providing any feedback is pathetic.
