DINOPAY - Sinclair Oil

Lots of negative reviews in here, so I figured I would give my two cents. It works pretty well for me. The app did have issues at one point and kept crashing. I reinstalled it, which resolved the issue. Other than that, it has been a good experience. I have used it to buy gas at Sinclair stations at least 50 times with minimal issues. The savings are great, and it actually does save time at the pump.

Very slow and frustrating to use. Great idea but rarely works once at the gas station. Connection times out. Code needs to be rewritten to speed it up and enhance response time. Don't try to load the map on start up. Simplify start up screen. Let user set favorite stations and have short cuts to those stations.

Works as intended and is convenient. One big problem I have is there seems to be no way to update bank account information for Mobile Advantage. I hadn't used the app in a very long time and had no idea which bank account I had attached. Having the ability to see and update my information is absolutely necessary.

Great when it works, that would be about a quarter of the time. Everything works great until it tries to authorize the pump. Says it's authorizing, then just drops back to the authorize pump screen. I really do want to buy my fuel using the app, but just to frustrating. Please fix it.

most frustrating app I have tried to use. does not work 95% of time. tried reinstall with no difference. poor, very poor. 4/24/2022 update. Still frustrating. Came back from a trip. Tried to fill the rig and 4 wheelers. Shut off at $150. Would not restart. Told me to try again in 24 hours. Using the sinclair adantage debit. This is no good. The competition got the rest of the purchases. I give up on sinclair.

I like the app. I have used it for close to a year. I haven't had any issues with it. I would give it a 5 star rating if the app had an option to enroll in mobile advantage. Unfortunately it doesn't have the option. I'm happy with the functionality of the App. The only time this App has ever logged me off is when my phone was shut completely down.. That's understandable, most Apps do that.

Updating my review, but unfortunately only giving 2 stars. The reason is that you have to login with email and password when you get gas, there's just not that much time to find your password onece every week or 2 when people are waiting in line behind you. The common process would be a biometric reader to login in a reasonable time frame for busy consumers. Also, add that it takes way too long to load when on data, then search for the location.

There are bugs that need to be worked out. If you have to keep retrying a pump, for whatever reason, it will tell you you've made too many attempts and need to try again in 24 hours. Sometimes there are glitches with the internet, or the app itself, sometimes you might have picked the wrong card. I guess this is a safety feature, but it's flawed.

Update 2: YOU CURRENTLY CANNOT USE THIS APP TO PAY FOR GAS. It seems like credit card payments are now also completely broken, meaning there is no way to use the app. Other broken things: - Many phone numbers during sign up. You will probably need access to several phone numbers in order to find one that works. - The "mobile advantage" (20¢ discount offer) payment method will either tell you your information could not be verified, or just do nothing when you try to add it

This app is trash. I am being baited and switched. I purposefully drive to sinclair station to only find my bank card doesn't work after the second time going. This has happened no less than 3 times with 3 different cards. There is no excuse for this. At least explain or offer a way of fixing payment processing instead of just saying "no". I'm boycotting this hot garbage!

Been using about 6 months. NOT RELIABLE! It Is Great When It Wotks. Has only worked 1/3rd of the time since adding "mobile advantage" to my payment options. I go through the process to authorize pay at pump ... & pump shows "authorizing" but then doesn't authorize After a few attempts it tells me I must wait 24 hours "too many attempts". Can't fill at Sinclair I must go elsewhere ... & apps at the other stations work & give same or better discounts! Go elsewhere often enough it becomes habit!

Pretty disappointed in this app and it's customer service recently. The app recently logged me out without any reason or warning so I went to log back in, says it sent me a verification code of which I never received. Tried to reset my password, it wouldn't let me do that either so I emailed Sinclair and emailed Dinopay - no response. Not worth the hassle if it's going to glitch like this.

Horrible experience. I was told my payment on one day did not clear but one that same day and another days later did clear. Two transactions clearedafter the first one. And now I'm being held accountable for a late fee for the first transaction that supposedly did not go clear. Yet they say that they will not allow you to make any transactions after one does not clear. I had two transactions clear after the one in question. And customer support hung up on me twice

The app worked amazing in the beginning but now it won't authorize any card I add. If I manually go to the pump and use the card it works fine but if I try to authorize it from the app to access the discount it won't work. 3 stars only because I know it can work but didn't last.

Standing right at the gas pump..app says the gas station is too far away? Now, the app says my password is wrong. I enter my email my address to get a verification code. Never get the code. I try to set up new account, nope, your ID already exists, can't reset password, can't open a different account, won't recognize a SAVED password. Can't even do it on their website...invalid email address?? Round and round...pathetic!

So I had put a number in wrong on my bank infor the last payment I made. Instead of calling or emailing me about a problem. They overdrafted the account, put a hold on the card and gave me a new payment date, pretty standard right? I didn't even know there was a problem until February 9th when I went to get fuel and was denied. I received letter saying new payment date is the 8th. Letter was postmarked the 9th. Evidently you have to be a time traveler and psychic. Ridiculous.

Love the savings and I try and only use Sinclair fuel, so always saving 20 cents per gallon with mobile advantage payment set up is awesome. 2 stars because it only works about 50% of the time, getting an error and not being able to pay with the app is common

Logged out each time it seems... I fueled up Friday and had to log in. I then fueled up at the same place on Sunday and again had to log in. That's annoying. Each time I have to remember my password and then get a text with a confirmation number. Really? Does this app require that kinda security? Why??

Either your apps glitchy and I've asked for help several times and you never contact me or the cards glitchy because it never works I don't know why I have a credit card with your company when I can't use it I lose out on all the supposed discounts you're supposed to give me thanks a lot for nothing other than charging me freaking interest on a credit card that sucks

Great app. I don't know why all the bad reviews. I will say after your done using it, shut the app down. If you leave it open, next time your at the pump it will take forever to load location. Other Than that, no complaints.

I've tried to use this app twice while at the pump and both times it repeatedly said "something went wrong" and then locked me out for 24hrs due to many failed attempts. Frustrating.

Great when it works. Super buggy and often refuses to connect. We have one station that seems to block the signal, we can never use it at that location. When it does work the savings are great. If you're an extremely patient money miser you'll enjoy this app. For the general population it's unreliable and frustrating.

I really love using this app! I can find local Sinclair stations, and authorize the pump (with a discounted price no less) without having to get out of the vehicle. It's perfect for frigid and swelling days, as well as windy and rainy ones. When the tank is full, just replace the nozzle and off you go. My receipt is in my inbox before I get home, or I can go to the app for the information.

Works like it's supposed to. I added my Sinclair card and a Visa card and both work fine. My only complaint is that when using the app it limits my fill up to 30 gallons. Seems pointless to me. Edit: the new update has turned this easy and simple app into a complicated bloatware. It's hardly worth using any more. Takes me more time to boot it up and get to pumping than I save.

Needs work. 1. The search doesn't work at all. Entering a location never returns data. Scrolling to a location works but difficult to use. 2. The filters behave odd. I use diesel fuel. When I select that it appears to only show locations that have DinoPay.. It would be very useful for traveling if it worked.

delete all my credit card info everywhere you store it. I'm done playing games with this app....update, tried again, this is complete scam to get people to come in for "lower" price. no response from sinclair on facebook either. wont work....every card declined, but not declined at pump.

Great app. Dependable & convinient. Suggest adding the ability to add info to reciept. I use Dinopay for 3 vehicles, being able to give a receipt a name & mileage would be 5 star!

Honestly dont get the up side to the app. Most of the time i get ZERO discount a gallon when using. At first would get 10 cents off and last couple times nothing. What a waste.

Using app for 2 months now. Still saving 25 cents a gallon! App and purchases are flawless. A lot of compliments here are about user error. Took me a while to figure out but now I've got it! Must link bank account to get 25. I believe a CC only gives you 15.

This app sucks try to log in and it keeps telling me it sent me a code. I don't know where it's sending it cause I'm not getting it. Now can't get on. It's always been a problem to log into it.
