For me, this app is one of the worst apps I've owned. We like to substitute two items from Dion's Special with two other items. That is impossible to do with this app. It's either apply the topping all over, or on one side or the other, or double the topping. You want to remove it entirely? FORGET IT!!!!!!! And as far as adding a new topping, it's either all over or nothing. Then I wanted to change the Dion's I wanted to go to because the one the app came up with was wrong. The moment I tapped to change it, it sent me to Google Maps to create an account, start over, etc. HUH??????? What in heck is that about??? Why not actually let me SELECT a different Dion's outlet??? Why am I sent to create an account on Google Maps??? I already HAVE AN ACCOUNT ON GOOGLE MAPS!!!! This app, in my opinion, isn't worth the disk space it occupies on my phone. After I finish this review, I'm uninstalling it.
If you use the back button on a Pixel 3XL, the app window closes. You have to use the back arrow in the app that is at the top of the page. Other than that, it works just like ordering on the website. Overall good experience. Fixing the back button will give this 5 stars for me.
App is not user friendly it can be confusing, I don't understand why you have to pay online in order to place an order when you can call in an order and pay at the window, also this app does not save your payment method even when you check the box to do so. It is pretty annoying to have to enter all card info every time specially if you are at work trying to order your lunch fast enough to have time to pick it up and eat it. Please fix this issue.
Update: They fixed it! Great, but... Love the app, everything goes through and we get our Dion's! Bug Report: At least on the roast beef & provalone subs, if you select "No Tomato", the store gets the order for "no onion". It's a little weird as it doesn't even come with onion. This has repeatedly happened. 5/5 stars otherwise!
I don't give it a negative number because I can't. But this and online for Dion's Pizza is the absolute worst! It never remembers my password. I'm always having to reset and if I get out and try to go back in, it doesn't recognize it! It is the absolute worst I'm uninstalling it and really not use online for Dion's ordering! So much for efficiency and convenience.
It's a great app with lots of potential. For example, it could be better if you could order a refreshing gallon of Arnold Palmer w/ your choice of tea and have the option of requesting items on the side, i.e. croutons on the side to avoid sogginess during carry-out. Gotta have my Dion's !!
Why bother asking if I want to dine-in if you're always going to give me my dine-in order in a friggin' bag?!? Eating out of a bag at a table is always fun. This happens 95% of the time at the 2 stores I find myself at, so I can only assume it's company-wide. Might as well go somewhere else where the employees actually read the call-in/online orders.
App would be actually be used more if I could add-on pastrami, ham or roast beef to a Veggie Sub. Currently the only meat options are turkey and bacon. Which is better than no meat options in previous versions of the app, but still missing the rest of the meats! Before anyone points it out, I know it's a veggie sub. But it's the only sub with ALL the veggies. FYI, olives suck! Go Dion's Ranch! I love Dion's!
App works good, but there needs to be an option for the make your own Gourmet Pizzas to allow no cheese. Currently, you cannot make a gourmet pizza with no cheese. It will not allow you to add the pizza to your cart without selecting a cheese first. The regular style pizzas do not have this problem, as they have a special instructions section.
Can't use Google pay. The app is by far the worst part of eating at this restaurant. Have had different issues with not being able to order enough toppings as well as not completing the order do to strange ordering process.
The "Place Order" button never worked for me. I put all of the order and payment information in and I get to the end and it won't process the order. Unfortunately, this has happened more than once. I end up having to call and place my order anyway, so I went ahead and uninstalled the app. Bummer.
Unable to substitute or provide special instructions, such as meat on the side for a salad. It is all or nothing. Frustrating that I have to call to place an order to give special instructions on a salad when they have an app available. I don't understand why these capabilities are not available.
It took forever to download then when I got it downloaded I tried to set up an account it told me I already had one so I clicked forgot password it sent me an email I clicked on the link tried to reset password and it said the link had expired. It was faster to call in the order.
Easy to use the app to order ahead. Great food, consistent quality, and accurate orders!
The app gives no option to pay with cash upon pickup. So if you pay with cash you have to call the store and place an order.
App will not open. After the the logo fades out, the only thing left is a blank page.
The app is only functional for ordering food, but does not include coupons or rewards for repeat customers.
Overall a great app for ordering pizza from Dion's but it could be better if it had android pay integration.
This app continously asks me to log in and never seems to log me in. Have to order through the website if I want to use my account...
The Dion's icon comes up and then goes to a white screen. It's does this over and over and over and over and over and over again. I uninstall the app and reinstall it only to find that it does the same thing over and over and over and over again
Great place to order pizza! The app is easy to use and their pizza's great!
Love this pizza! It's a little basic sure, but you order some green chili and ranch on it and you'll be loven' it!

1 issue you have to put / in credit card number, this is the only app I have used that does that which is irritating.

my experience was not good at all. I went through the ordeal of placing an order and praying just to find out that even though the app said the order was complete they claim no. so what was the point. I should have just called in. it's faster and easier. Now I have to watch my credit card to see if I get charged twice and they said bring the bill in and show them, then they'll refund my money. I won't be using the app anymore. I use resteraunt apps all the time with little to no issues.
