This application does not work for me. Never has. Since installation about a month ago it just says "We are updating our systems" I just updated to the latest release now it crashes after I try and enter my house information.
This app is worthless. It never works. All it does is give a error message when trying to sign in. Even after uninstalling and re-installing.
I downloaded the app but won't let me log in with my username and password. Now I can't even access the website to my account. Finally able access website and app finally logged me in.
Never works!! It's a real pain when you need to pay bills and can't do it because you have no idea how much you owe or when it's due because this app never works and you went paperless so don't have your account number
I downloaded this app so I could pay my bill but the app doesn't even work. It keeps showing the download icon on the bill and payment. Never really shows me my bill or my payments.
New app. Perfect. It is very well designed and easy to find everything. The usage and prediction is a very useful tool and it works better now.
I'm glad the app is finally out but I'm not happy with it showing data that is not consistent with the website. Case in point, the website shows I have one account, which is correct since I paid off and closed my old one. The app shows two accounts with my old one showing a past due balance since March. What the hell?! Please fix this.
There are too many bugs in the app. I'm unable to input my home information to better calculate the average cost. Anytime I attempt to add or change any information it freezes then crashes leaving me to login again and start all over. I wish it had the capabilities shown in the app store.
Direct energy finally updated their app and now it works once again!
App won't open anymore. Last year (2021) when Direct Energy said they were redoing their website & app, the app then stopped working & hasn't worked (for me) since. I also found out that DE was bought by another parent company, which most likely is the reason for the new site & app upgrades. But if the app was upgraded, then why won't it work? I often used to pay my bills in the app, but now I can't even get into it. I can't even get to a login screen. Please fix the app! 1 star til it's fixed.
Very poor quality. Simply put, on android it does not work. I am very upset because I just switched and it's not clear what I'm actually being charged for in terms of usage. Very very upset and may look for a away to go back to my previous provider where my usage is clearly displayed on my app. Dont put out an app that does not work.
i use to love this app, it was so easy to make payments and keep up with usage. The last 3 months however it wont let me log in. extremely slow and continues to tell me that i do not have the correct credentials and or no network available. i don't understand why such a big company can not fix these issues to make it easier on customers. just finished reading the most recent reviews everyone is having the same issues. when is someone going to step up and fix the app?
Yes this app is complete trash. When first creating an account the app crashed and my information was presented as 2016 which I dont know how that was possible being that I've just created an account. When trying to pay my bill on the app it doesn't process there's definitely a glitch in the system. The technical teams needs to consolidate all of the problems with the app and reiterate the creation. It shouldn't be this many complaints when trying to acces our bill information or paying.
If I could give - ⭐ I would.. their app does not reflect the the exact bill at that time. Set up to have my payment taken out and they took out literally double because supposedly there were fees added every month because I would pay around the end of the month(live paycheck to paycheck) and only have 2 choices as far as when a bill is due, but tell me this 4-5 months later.. so needless to say I'm getting new service as wee speak... Good writens Direct Energy!! ✌️
needs an update. Whenever I could login I could not view my account information. And now I've been logged out and whenever I try to log back in it tells me there is a network connection error and that I need to connect to internet. I've tried multiple places with Wi-Fi and my own data and it refuses to connect. help
App is broken since site update. Completely useless. Reinstalled, cleared cache and app data, restarted device, nothing worked. The entire user experience with the app, site, and service has been terrible since the site update. Seems like you should have had a better consumer facing plan in place before you got started.
UPDATE: So here we are Dec 2021. The app is still out of service apparently being updated. Not sure why it takes months and months to update. If I could give zero stars I would. For the money I pay you people why can't you get this app sorted out? Is it being fixed in India? Ridiculous. ABSOLUTELY USELESS APP. Doesn't work on Samsung S20. Keeps spinning on log-in. Fix the issue. This is ongoing.
I do not know how they havent fix the issues on the app that everyone has been posting. However after reading the reviews and using the app myself, the app only works for paying the the bill when the bill finally generates. You cannot see your monthly usage, you cannot generate your billing statement and you cannot compare to your previous month's or see your payment history. My wife has an iPhone and we've used the app side by side and it is the same issues.
This app is terrible. Every time I go into the My Account menu, it logs me out. I have 2 profiles because Direct Energy can't seem to be able to create one profile. I keep setting up finger print sign in on the open account but it keeps signing me into the closed account profile.
Can never access my account. Worst app EVER! I'd rather pay a fee to pay my bill then deal with this B.S. app. DO NOT WASTE SPACE ON YOUR PHONE FOR THIS APP, STRAIGHT GARBAGE!!! I don't even want to give it a star but really have no choice to post a review. Tried contacting them about it, just got a b.s. excuse that I had a balance, so I paid it still couldn't log on and have yet to receive a response about the problem again.
app doesn't recognize my fingerprint login, and it frequently logs me out. i cannot seem to utilize the usage feature at all without immediately being logged out and returned to the login screen. so far the app is disappointing. hopefully the bugs will get worked out.
The android version of this app is terrible. Any time I try to view my account, it logs me out. I tried to add a new card to pay a bill, its invalid. Went online and it worked fine, but the point of apps is to be convenient.
Had Direct Energy for almost 3 years now. I was quite happy for the first year. The app really is horrible. I feel like they want my first born, just to get logged in. My bank's app doesn't give me as much flak, seriously. Like, I'm just trying to pay my power bill...not buy a house. I see other reviews from several people with the same issues. In this day and age people want to use their apps to pay the bill, see account info, usage etc. Get this fixed before you lose customers. TXU?
I just downloaded the app and logged in. It keeps shutting down on me. I'm trying to enter the info on my home, but before I can enter anything, I get an error message "Session expired" followed by the log in screen. Uggh!
