DirectChat Pro (ChatHeads)

Well...needs work, my messages aren't shown when I enter via bubble, but that isn't much of a problem. The only nuisance is that even though I set the bubble to close when I enter the app (WhatsApp) but it won't close :-| Hope you work that out. Also the settings need a better explanation of what they dude, at least those are my thoughts. Keep up the good work.

The app is good in concept. But I'm not getting proper notifications for any of my apps. I keep having to disable and reenable notifications. Even then, sometimes the messages come out as, "1 new message," rather than the message proper. I'm not getting any messages for Viber, Telegram, or any of the other apps that are essential for my work. If the interface were more like FB messenger's, I'd consider repurchasing this app. But for this version, it's not worth the price, even at a discount.

I love this app. I've wanted such a thing to exist and now it does! Unfortunately it's not without issue. In Discord you cant send pictures without opening the full app, and any messages sent not using the app cant be seen. It could be fixed with an update and I'm pleased with the result thus far

Loved this app for the past 1-2 years, but since updating to Android 9 (Pie), the chat-head won't go away when you open the app. I've made sure the permission is granted and have uninstalled and reinstalled 2 times with no change. Must be something to do with Android Pie?? On a side note, this app does see to consume a little more battery than I thought it did. When I uninstalled it, I gained about 2% more battery per hour... But, it was worth the trade off for the chat-head IMO. But, not sure I like having to remove the chat-head each time I open the app now. :(

I recently updated my phone to Android 12 and the app seeme to freeze now. The entire screen becomes inaccessible if the chat is open. Would you be able to check this issue, please? I believe that there ar e multiple users who are facing it, so this is definitely not a problem related to phone/launcher. Thanks

The last update turned off some notification sounds for me, the culprit was DirectChat's notification triggering a system sound that overrode my texting app's notification sounds. The solution for now is to disable DirectChat's notification entirely. I give the developer five stars for quick responses to my queries and a promise to look into the issue. A great app overall.

I downloaded the pro version for the extra functionality and I also believe in supporting independent developers and so far it's an awesome tool! The only thing lacking at this point is support for group messaging- all the messages come in individually and I can't reply to an entire group only to each person. If group messages were supported this would be a perfect 5/5 app!

It works good other than the fact that it keeps deleting my messages. If the same person texts me an hour later, whatever we talked about before is gone and I have to open up google messages to see what our conversation was about. Not happy about that as I opted for the paid version. I have the clear chat history on closed unchecked and it is still deleting

Hey the app is great but one thing that bothers mi is the history incompatibility between chat head and actual chat in the app. E.g. when I go into whatsapp and send my message from there, it doesn't appear in a chat head with this contact, even when I have this bubble open. Also sometimes happens that few messages from the contact just don't appear bubble but they're present in app. Do You plan on fixing this or something?

Good and useful app. But when you clear cache notification access turns off automatically and have to turn it on evrytime.. Also sometimes duplicate messages are shown in da chat head.. Still I will use it as it allows to read and reply incoming messages without being online or getting marked as seen

this app really does change the way I use my mobile phone. it is so easy to click on different communication apps. It does not work with the email app that I use, but may change email app to accommodate using this!

absolute garbage. it works for like a day, then the chat bubbles stop working. or if you change and settings, it stops working correctly. when you reply, it opens a 2nd chat bubble from yourself, if you block or ignore that, it stops working correctly. if i can figure out how to get a refund i will.

Very good app. The only downfall is that the service ends by itself every single time and we have to reactivate it by going to settings. It's kind of annoying, but the benefits still outweighs. Good one dev team.

Near perfect experience. App does what it says. The suggestion I have is to have an option to open directly into the calling app instead of DirectChat. A sort of just a floating notification instead of direct communication.

Great concept Hope you this app is under development yet because there is a lot of potential in this idea and many things that need to be addressed. I haven't used other apps but WhatsApp does not show the chat history, it just shows the chat from where you started chatting in the bubble. Also the media does not load in the chat head. Most of the people would use this app for WhatsApp or Instagram, so the loading if media and chat history is important. Please fix this asap as I want to use this.

The idea behind the app is good but it's implementation is poor (at least for what's app). The chat heads don't show incoming media (even when auto downloads are on in what's app) and you have to keep the chat head open if you what it to show the chat history. The actual experience can't be compared to that of FB's stock chat heads. Eventually, I have to turn off the app as it's useless (as I end up opening what's up to see the media and/or chat history).

So your saying don't pay for the Pro when the Free app version is good enough? It's a bit late telling me now! Feel like I've been Robbed! Developer Will Not implement quick reply functionality, in order to reply to messages. Only good for reading Messages. You still have to go into the app that the message came from in order to reply. What's the point of this app then? Waste of time.

This is the best app I've tried for Instant Messaging Notifications. Very comfortable. I love the Pro features. Update: Thank you so much for the newest update. The app is back to its former glory! What a treat! Hope you get good income and a stable job you like. People: this Pro version is worth it. I recommend!

It's quite good but it started showing me two chatheads left and right. Although only one side is active. So if right is active and I move it up and down, the left chathead will move at the same time. It will reunite when I throw it to the left and do the bugs again on the right. Hope you understand what I mean. Please fix. I'm on android 8.1

I was upset and rated this app 1 star after the dev discontinued the paid version for a subscription based model in the free. Almost immediately, I heard back and was assured that my payment for the pro app would be honored in the free app. For communication and a dev willing to go above and beyond for a supporter deserves 5 stars...it's the least I can do. I enjoy the app and will continue to use it.

I don't want the message window opened on screen permanently displayed, so if there was an option to close it after messaging I would be happy to continue using, but until such time as there is I am stopping using this app.

If you keep losing notification access, make sure that Android is not managing the app automatically. You can control this on huawei, xiaomi and vernee phones in the battery settings. I'm not too sure about other devices.

If this was just for messages it'd be fine but as it's for every single notification it end up just being irritating and getting in way. Please implement a for messages only feature and make sure it doesn't tell you when you're say receiving a call in Whats App etc.

Great app but when using Android Messages, the profile pictures don't show up on the chat head. Attachments such as images or videos shows up as profile pictures. Please fix and will rate 5 stars.

i had this app few years back but then there were bugs, i installed it again yesterday and dang is it perfect now. i guess my money never got wasted afterall. PS i didnt write a review that time cause i was hoping it would eventually get better and it did
