This is the messenger hub we’ve all been waiting for. Disa will unite your messaging & communication services seamlessly while keeping your device clutter free. The design is clean, features are constantly being updated, and merging messages cannot be any easier.
Over 50,000 private alpha-stage testers in the Disa Google+ community believe this app is ready for beta testing, so now we’re putting the app in your hands. Let’s get together and make this what a messenger service hub should be!

Please be mindful this is a beta release and we are still testing. However, it is stable enough for you to enjoy with us as we perfect the app. If you have any questions join the Disa Google+ community (find it at http://www.disa.im) where fellow users and a handful of moderators will help you. Or, visit the FAQ page (http://www.disa.im/faq.html).

You can easily organize! Merge contacts and messenger services together within two clicks. There are plenty more fun features and we will be constantly updating them to give you the best user experience. Just download the app and discover everything Disa offers.

How to start using Disa?

• Pick your services
- Open the app > click settings > click services > click add service > and select the service from the plugin manager list.(After setting-up your service the last 10 conversations will load. Don’t worry, your previous conversations are not lost; load them manually by creating a new message with a contact or group-chat and it will appear in your conversation list.)

• Merge conversations
- Go to your conversations list > long press on the first conversation > click on the other conversation(s) you wish to unify > and click the merge icon on the bottom action bar that pops up.

What plugins exist?

With this beta release the text plugin automatically ships. Third party plugins may also be available on our community. You can find these third party plugins by clicking the search link(s) in the plugin manager of the app.

Don’t worry if you don’t see your favorite plugin available yet. It will come!

What else do we have planned?

I've been using this app for almost two years. No real complaints, except I can no longer send images to my Facebook contacts. When sent, each image instantly "Failed" to send. Probably an easy fix, but I can't seem to reach their support team since Google+ isn't a thing anymore. So, I'd have to go from a 5 to 4 star, due to the inconvenience of finding out how to reach their support team. Any assistance would also be appreciated. Great app otherwise -- thank you!

Used DISA for years - it's light, functional and simple, and one of the first apps I put on a new phone. However, as others have noted, the FB Messenger functions have been failing recently, one by one. And now I'm getting the following message on every FB contact - "Your messages can't be loaded because your app is no longer supported. You can view them in a desktop browser". Looks like that spells the end of the app for me, as unified SMS/FB messaging is all I use it for. A proper shame. 😔

its exactly what I need (when it works). I'm not sure what throws the Facebook message functionality offline but I have been relying on Disa for FB messages for over a year and for whatever reason, Disa's connectivity to FB can be flaky. It used to happen only once every two months or so and I'd have to uninstall and reinstall a plugin before I was back in business. Now, it's happening much more often. Signed up for the beta testing team, though. Maybe I can help!

LOVE this app!! I just love that you can put FB messenger & texts all together, but also, you can customize notifications for each contact!!😁 My only suggestion is when you have group texts you have to click on the text and then the "i" to see who's actually in the group texts. With other messages apps, you can see several bubbles where there would be just the one on a normal text. If something like that could happen, that would be great!! Otherwise, love it!!!

I've used Disa for years now. It can be a little clunky at times (it's stopped letting me send gifs) but overall it's just so dang useful. The ability to merge chats from Facebook and text helps me stay on top of conversations that I'd otherwise forget or leave hanging. I really hope the developers keep at it because if this app stops getting updated I don't know how I could possibly replace it.

I love the idea behind this app, esp that the search fx works separately within individual applications, such as when i search in contacts within SMS it doesnt bring up Facebook contacts. (which is why i was on the hunt for a new messaging app) However, this app is EXTREMELY slow on my phone. it takes so long to open a message that it just wasnt worth it to make the switch from Facebook Messenger SMS to this one. I also missed my stickers & definitely the chat heads.

this app is one of a kind. I've never had any issues receiving or sending messages via text or Facebook. it has amazing functions not on the Facebook messenger app, as well as appearance settings to make it how you like it. definitely the app for someone who wants a better messaging experience, and all in the one app. hopefully this app will be around for years to come.

Seems alright but only supports SMS/MMS, Telegram, and Facebook. Would be nice if it still included WhatsApp as well. The IM+ app supports many more services, it just doesn't have regular SMS and MMS as well, otherwise I would totally use it. By the way you need to add a way to import your existing SMS/MMS conversations because starting with a blank slate is unacceptable.

While not without its flaws (very memory and CPU-hungry) it is one of the most usable FB chat clients out there (though as most of them are just thin wrappers around the mobile website, this is a low bar :P). In particular, nothing else offers the same level of notification customisation. I'd give it an extra half star if the Play Store allowed it. It won't ever displace Telegram as my preferred chat client, but for the benefit of being able to talk to your friends who insist upon using Facebook, Disa is worth installing.

I've given this 3 stars, because it's not the worst app I've uninstalled (although I have uninstalled this one). I've been using Disa for 3 years now and I have just had enough of the lack of basic features (like video chat) and the constant errors, like the fact that you now can't upload photos. I gave it a long time to catch up, but it's just not ready and just not supported.

Looks promising, however, it doesn't support "Line". :/ Also, not sure if it had a chathead feature, as, I needed a multi-platform that can make Line & Fb in one space. Not sure how to add in plugins either. (I'm apparently not that tech-savvy..& I'm the family's "computer fixer technician". 😂😂) PS: May try this again, if it can have these features added.

It can do txt and Facebook Messenger, but neither well. For example in the messenger replacement, if you are corresponding with someone about a marketplace ad, there's no way to get back to that within the app. You have to open Facebook elsewhere and then trace the item from there(!). Kind of unhelpful. In the txt section, (the SMS component of the app) there appears to be no way to block numbers. There's are more features massing but limited space here. Too basic to be usable.

Love this app way more than Facebook Messenger. My one major complaint is that contact profile images don't show up. It only shows the initials of the person's profile. It's a major hassle to scroll and read each name instead of just looking for a picture.

Just uninstalled and reinstalled and the horrible battery drain continues. I can no longer disable background battery usage either in the Disa settings or from the android menu and the disa menu option to run the app in the foreground is turned on and grayed out. --- Downgraded to 0.9.9.8 and now I have the idiotic persistent "everything is running smoothly" notification, but at least my battery usage is fixed.

I love the possibility of merging conversations & having all in one place. Unfortunately it doesn't include Whatsapp anymore and messenger is trouble (need to relog every month or so with a fastidious process of being blocked for security reasons, waiting 24h, retrying to log,...). Not the developpers' fault at all, but it's a big inconvinience

I've had trouble sending messages from my Android to iphone users. It says the message failed to send it the message is too long. I don't understand why it won't just break and send. I have to manually enter portions of the message in subsequent messages. Also sometimes fails to send photos and videos.

Unable to send messages for new facebook contants for months now, I type the contact's name and the plugin is stuck on search. I first have to send the message outside of the app for the conversation to appear. I last reinstalled the plugin just now. Also unreliable notifications. LG G6

Facebook service keeps disappearing. Esxh week I have to re-add the Facebook service in order to receive messages. Sadly don't know when it stops working until will open settings and check. Logged ticket at devs website and did not hear an answer for 3 months. Strongly dissatisfied as it used to work in the past

Didn't really follow through on what I wanted. I was able to combine my sms messaging with Facebook messenger but it had trouble playing nice with Whastapp and it was never able to send video clips through text. Not terrible overall but not what I was looking for. Ended up uninstalling.

Pra. T. Feb 1, 2020

A nice app to keep all your conversations together. But I cannot load more than 10 Facebook conversations at a time. If I could see all conversations on Facebook Messenger or other services, that would be great.

I've been using DISA for 4+ years in place of Facebook Messenger. I've really liked it. All of a sudden, it's not letting me send pictures to my Facebook contacts. My pictures start to send, then display the word "Failed" in red.

Wil. M. Oct 19, 2019

Was very good but over the past 2 weeks, Facebook login keeps expiring. Update - App password method no better. Further update - problem seems to be due to running Disa on 2 different devices. Works fine as long as it's only one one device.

Pro. X. Sep 2, 2019

Used to work great, uninstalled it for a while but recently re-installed it. The Facebook plugin doesn't seem to work at all if your account has 2-factor authentication enabled. (9-1-2019) Edit: Generating an app password worked perfect! Thanks much (9-2-2019)

Wil. H. Mar 8, 2021

Used to be a great app, simple integration of FB messages and text messaging. But the devs basically abandoned the app in 2019 for some "new IP" and the app has been slowly breaking ever since as Facebook made changes. Will probably Uninstaller soon, as I cam no longer send images to Facebook any longer.

Mic. Aug 26, 2019

Unfortunately, since a few last updates (I believe) app crashes after 20-30 seconds. Basically unusable ;( Tried clearing cache, didnt help. I dont let Disa run in the background but I never did and it had worked fine before. Android 9, OP5T. Thats the only app causing trouble atm.
