Unfortunately this didn't work with my Moto G5 Plus running Android 8.1.0. The volume started high, then dipped back to zero after a second, and escalated as it would have without the app. I wish the developer well, and hope they continue to improve this app for users. A side issue; I wasn't fond of having a permanent notification bar for this app on my screen. Not a big deal (and probably unavoidable), just a matter of personal taste.
I have a Motorola Moto G6, it is well worth $.99 to get rid of the ascending ringtones. A little glitchy at first, but here is the setup that worked for me. Free version did not work for me, for a buck, I took a chance and paid to get license. Activate app, uncheck "New Normalization Method", select "Show notification icon" (this actually took several hours before it appeared after re-starting phone and would not work without it). This app is great once past the fustrating setup.
Doesn't work on my galaxy note 9 I was hoping this would work but I just got an update on this phone the other day so that could be the reason for it not working One UI version 1.0 Android version 9 I had to Uninstall it I was really hoping this app would work. If I don't find anything else that will work I'll come back later to see if there has been an update to this app.
update comment: it seems to work fine now... whats weird is, after you install it, it takes a few if not a half dozen rings to fully work... at first you hear just one single ring at a lower volume, then after a while (a few more incoming calls) it works fine. POS... Moto Z2 Force, rings once for half a ring then nothing... tried everything in settings and advice from others... update: that is with the box at top checked, works ok with no box checked
This app made the problem worse. It was supposed to fix how my Moto Z3 starts the ringtone softly, then crescendos to full volume. With this app installed, my ringtone starts at full volume for a fraction of a second. Then it goes silent for a second or two before it begins the crescendo to full volume.
It was fine at first but then it began altering my sound settings from sound on to vibrate and adding an annoying beep after every notification resulting in me factory resetting my Note 9 twice. Thought it was a problem with my themes but I'm glad I found it that this app was the culprit.
I was initially very happy with this app, it worked as intended, but then the trial ran out, so I went ahead and purchased a license because it had been working, but now it's not. I've reinstalled it, checked permissions and everything but it's not working after actually buying the product.
Only works when phone is awake. When not using the phone and the phone is in sleep mode, doesn't work. When call comes in the ringtone ascends. But when the screen is awake after the first call, the app works for the second call in. Already disable the power save and sleep mode for this app in the system.
BEWARE OF PERMISSIONS! This app allows them to read all the text in messages and use links provided within them. What does that have to do with the volume? This was going to be a lifesaver, but I'm passing for privacy concerns.
It sort of worked, but not the way I hoped. I use a softphone app to answer incoming work calls but the app's ringtone is considered a notification. This app doesn't affect notification sounds, just ringtones. So it was useless to me.
It actually worked TOO well. I have a lot of telemarketers call me as I'm trying to sleep, so I leave my phone on Do Not Disturb. This app completely bypassed my Do Not Disturb and I was woken up by telemarketers regardless. If an update eventually comes out where that isn't the case, I'll give it another shot.
It sorta works. It disables the ascending ring for sure. But it also disables multiple rings for a single call and putting your phone on do not disturb is useless with the app running.galaxy s10.
Had licence purchased on my Note 3 about 7 years ago. Switched to S7 and couldn't get my licence back. Emailed the creator of the app and never heard from him. Now I switched to S20FE and I gave up on getting old licence back, so I tried purchasing the licence. Now when I try to re-purchase it, it tells me "ERROR: Transaction Cancelled". Tried with 2 different cards and PayPal acc. Like other people say, App Support is NON EXISTING
I purchased This Disable Increasing Ring app and it worked great for awhile but now it is not working right at all!!! It will ring one time and then it stops ringing. I have a the Moto Z Play Droid. I have removed it and now it rings the way it before. I paid for this too. So disappointing.
Spam. Does not do what a message board commenter claimed it would. I don't even know what it's supposed to do (other than deliver advertising revenue to the authors) as the description is so short and unclear.
Works great. Removes slowly increasing ringtones, so you don't miss any calls. Great for Samsung phones which don't have the options to remove increasing ringtones
I've spent quite a bit of time trying to set up two phones so that this app would work right and it does work good when you get it to work but I wished it was a lot easier to get going 4 setup
After installing, the phone plays a partial ring and stops ringing. That's worse than the escalating volume, which is what I was trying to fix.
It doesn't stop the ascending ring problem on my Moto G5+ but it does allow a crucial quarter of a second burst of phone ringer before the phone overrides and shuts the ringer off again. It's enough to know I have a call but there's apparently no way to fix the stupid ascending ring flaw on Motorola phones.
worked until I paid for it, then when I got a call, it would mute my ringtone, the exact opposite of what its supposed to do. I'll just live with the buildup rather than nothing at all. Worthless
worked fine on galaxy s5. and then on s9+ it worked when it was free, but when trial expired and I purchased it, nothing I did could make it work. totally ticked off.
So far, so good! it seems to be doing a great job. it fixed a stupid problem that it seems to be a soley Motorola problem. Who makes a phone to ring 3 times before you can hear it???
I was ready to return my phone until I found this app! Works great on Oreo, on my new Moto Z3 Play. Developer, PLEASE keep this app going! Not sure why it asks for all the permissions it does though... but worth it to me.
I need the app because my phone did not ring for 3 times. However since this ri Uns in background dies use up battery. Sure there must be some way to activate when it rings and stop when call is answered .
I've hated my Motorola Z Force Droid because of the escalating ringtone. With this app I can now hear my phone on the ring I should hear it..the first. Had to reboot phone for app to work. Thank you!
Worked great on Galaxy S5. On Galaxy S10, works intermittently and makes calls ring when Do Not Disturb is on--so cannot use it.
the product seems to work just fine except for every time I power my phone off it takes the app off my taskbar I was advised to leave the app on the taskbar all the time so that Google doesn't kill the app
Worked perfectly for me on a Note 9. For $0.99, it's hard to go wrong. Gets rid of a really annoying issue.
Works perfectly on my Samsung Galaxy A42 5G phone. This saved me from having to buy a new phone from another manufacturer. The ascending ringtone meant that I was always missing calls. With the phone in a case on my belt and inside my coat, it usually would ring 3 times before I heard it ringing. By the time got to the phone, the caller would hang up. Lacking a Samsung option to turn off the ascending ring "feature" this is the next best thing.
