Discogs - Catalog & Collect

Great app to manage your music collection (that is what I personally use it for). Pretty intuitive and easy to use the barcode scanner is definitely a time saver instead of browsing through sometimes dozens of releases. Unfortunately, for those old barcode-less records already listed on discogs, I wish it the app offered the possibility to search by Discogs release number cause it's more convenient to find a specific release on a computer than on the phone. I also think it would be good to be able to filter your collection by format to display simply vinyl or cd or dvd, cassette etc... Last I think it could be improved by displaying the mutual items in other users' collection. Great app! I had it about days and I can't live without it anymore! Keep on improving friends and thank you for the hardwork you do for us music freaks!

Though recently updated, it still has bugs. Either crashing or just freezes. Sometimes I have to add a disc twice as the first entry has not been recorded. I hope these bugs will get fixed, cause apart from the glitches, it's still a good app.

Great app, usability is better than the website. Still there are some issues: When searching for an album, sales prices are not shown in the list. On the marketplace, filtering doesn't really work (filter "cd" shows LPs as well etc.). Sorting by price should include shipping fees or else it doesn't make much sense (a cd for 5 EUR plus 45 EUR shipping cost is listed higher than a cd for 10 EUR and 2 EUR shipping)

I use discogs in my browser so thought I would try it in an app instead. However, cannot get into it at all. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall a multitude of times and still I cannot get past the login screen. I have even reset my phone and nothing. I have rejected and accepted the cookies alike but that does not make a difference. Whatever I have tried it does not work, the cookie pop up comes up and I am back to adding in my password again - helpful! Sticking to the long way as it works!

Great app, been using for 6 or so years. Now that my catalogue is large there seems to be several discrepancies, in value of portfolio, number of any particular title for sale and the average price of titles doesn't seem to change when there are many sales. Sometimes these things function other times not.

It's great for adding new items to your collection in a pinch, but the purchasing options are horrendous. There's no option to add filters to a search, so when you access somebody's shop with 12K records with every genre under the sun, it becomes impossible to find things that fit your niche.

It's fine, with issues. Things get weird when making a purchase, like you basically have to go through PayPal twice. It's also annoying how I have to keep manually syncing when not on WiFi and dismissing the warning. I have an unlimited plan discogs, it's fine, let me toggle a setting to turn off that warning, update automatically please regardless of connection.

Good, not great app, but it utilizes a great amount of battery use for the short time you use it. Desktop features unable to do what the desktop version can do, especially when trying to sort seller items by format/price/genre like you within a certain title.

Really like this App! After 2+ years of use I find it very difficult to get help! Still to difficult to add minor variations, when a photo would work on some things.

When I'm trying to access the web version (because it has some features the app doesn't), a little pop-up appears with a choice: "Open in browser" or "Open in Discogs app". When I choose to open in browser, nothing happens, then the pop-up appears again after half a second. If I choose to go to the app, it says "Couldn't open link" and the pop-up appears again. Jeez. Also crashes sometimes

Very very helpful app, for myself and for friends and family who are looking for easy gift ideas for me. Being able to specify which exact version of an album you want is so cool. Nice simple and intuitive interface. All that is good enough, but the actual marketplace in Discogs is amazing. Beats eBay on a number of levels, and it's devoted to nothing but records. You know trusted vendors on this site have experience with vinyl, the sellers are not random people trying to ship their first vinyl

I love this app on iOS. Recently switched back to android and I'm missing the discogs app on my iPhone.. - Clicking an artist's "all releases" doesn't show all releases.. Just shows whatever it feels like showing you. - I used to see current for sale prices while scrolling through my wantlist. That's gone. - Also, there seems to be a payment glitch. I need to make payments via web browser instead of the app. Says payment has been sent and it never really sends or goes through, kind of scary

Latest version has made app unusable. Constantly having to log back in and wait for my collection to load and even worse - constantly having to decline the app sending me marketing rubbish. I'm guessing the developers are more interested in money than having an app which is useful to the user. But not suprised as that seems to be the trajectory of the site in general.

Tried 4 times to send payment for an order with the Discogs app and the PayPal app. For some reason, no matter how many times I tried to do that, even after uninstalling both Discogs and PayPal, then reinstalling them, signing in and out, I wound up having to use a browser to complete my order after 4 days. Unacceptable. I reached out to PayPal and Discogs with no resolution.

👎 ⛔ 📵 terrible app on my phone. Hard to use to check my collection when out shopping for vinyl. Makes this app WORTHLESS. YOU can't i access YOUR discogs ACCOUNT when it's off-line. #EPICFAIL THEN AFTER IT GOES OFFLINE YOU GET TO RELOAD "SYNCHRONIZE" I've got 4000+ records. I have to go back to spreadsheets to have an available list when I'm shopping. #epicfail by the programmers.

Good stuff, but I'm not seeing how to sort my collection alpha-chronologically. It puts the artist in alpha order, but then the dates of the artist's discography jumps all over the place. It should list them chronologically as well as alpha. If there's a way to do this I haven't found it yet.

Used to be great. Now it just crashes regularly and you have to log in every single time you open the app which gets really annoying. Discogs haven't done anything about it in months!

Really quite impressed with this. The value could be improved by including the lowest currently for sale and how many, export features could be improved to include this info. For example 50 available from £1 and theres low chance of seeing a sale any time soon. Sellers could therefore concentrate on/prioritise the more rare vinyls

Payment/trying to order records through this platform is an absolute nightmare. Payment doesn't go through after several times, things aren't shipped after days, things are shipped and have apparently been sitting there for weeks. It almost feels like a scam

Payment didn't go through even though it said it did on my end. It apparently didn't end up taking anything out of my PayPal. I didn't even notice until I got my cd today and added it to my collection. Now idk how I'm gonna send money to the seller that got screwed. I now have a 50% buyer rating because of one positive and one negative review. And now I have to deal with all this because of one stupid bug.

This app could really be more useful IF it had a dark mode and accessibility features for enlarging the size of text. Otherwise, I still try to use it but it's really difficult with vision problems.

The iphone app works really but the Android one is a disaster. The worst part is the lagging when you scroll through your basket. Unbelievable. I can't think of one thing that is equally good or better compared to the Iphone app. Fix it please. Fix everyrhing from understandable icons to a faster running app.

This is the perfect app for cataloging my music! It's well designed and has some pretty great features. Only thing keeping me from 5 stars is that the widgets seem to break and show me a consistent "loading" message without loading back

Sharks. There were payment issues on their site last week which meant i attempts to checkout the same item from multiple sellers left in my basket. I have been being harassed for payment and given negative feedback as a result. Having something in your basket it's not the same as committing to buy something, that's ecomm 101. Apparently it is on this marketplace. I won't be using them again. Avoid
