Discord - Chat for Gamers

It's nice the syncing makes it easy to seamlessly transition from mobile to pc. I do wish however that the attenuation feature worked a little better because no matter how many times I try it refuses to attenuate. It should also have integration with Nvidia Broadcast without having too much of an issue. Other than that great app and look forward to the future updates.

The app is great, and I use it daily to catch up with friends. Since the last update however, I have been having issues where the app just won't open on my phone or just immediately crashes upon opening it. The only thing I really wish the app had that it doesn't is the ability to toggle the mute on channels off and on from the notifications center on my samsung.

This would ve a five star, but there is a bug that simply won't stop bothering me! I use an Android version 9, and whenever I try to send images from my gallery, the thumbnails of half my gallery are different from the actual images, so I have to click on them to see what they actually are. The thumbnails are images from wayyy before, like an old picture of my cats from 2 months ago replacing the thumbnail of a downloaded image from today! Please tell me if this can be fixed, or on my end.

Amazing app! As long as you have good connection and a good mic, the calls are good. Chatting is pretty nice and joining servers is easy. One small problem, the app won't open, so I have to reinstall it, but other than that, it's amazing and I 100% recommend it to people who have no friends, or are looking for more friends, because it's also a great place to make friends, just be careful of the people you reveal personal info to.

I put 4 stars because PC version has a feature to switch accounts in instant-- but CP version doesn't. It is very convenient to use if we can switch accounts as easy as PC version. Also, the MB for sending photos and videos were too limited. Even with those, it's still a good app after all. Just a few adjustments and it'll be magnificent!

Great app overall, just one issue and one suggestion. Often I'll get a message, and I'll get the notification, but when I open the chat, tne message doesn't appear for me, it shows on the senders chat log tho, so it's not like they've deleted it. Also we can switch between accounts on the website, but not in the app, please add that feature for app use!

Overall, discord is pretty good. No ads, not very laggy, etc. But there is one problem. I've just started experiencing it on mobile yesterday. This bug was not letting me switch channels or even servers, and i could not chat in the channel I was stuck in, even if i closed the app and went back in again. If this issue is fixed, i would be very happy.

It's fun, responsive and is easy to navigate. I use it to watch my friends play video games and to chat with them. My issue is that your comments aren't saved as drafts when you leave the tab or close the app, or switch between apps. If you write a paragraph about something meaningful and "oops, I hit another thread, server, or close the app ALL my type is gone." That ish grinds my gears bro, seriously.

Overall I liked the app, but there's still some issues. Few of them is when putting a spoiler to media, it still mostly, doesn't work. The other (and honestly, the most annoying one) is when I use the voice chat, discord often automatically close itself after some period of time while I was playing a game or browsing in another application. Edit 1: The bugs above are still present, along with more bugs! PNG format will automatically convert to JPG on mobile, and Spoiler still doesn't work.

Bug fixes for Android. Hmm, yeah right Discord, I'll believe it when I see it. There's been a bug in it for at least a year in almost every patch since that, while annoying to deal with, doesn't make it impossible to use, just irritating. It's been scrolling way down my contacts when opening the app and scrolling server and DM chats back up old messages. I've reported it and it has never gotten fixed. I'll edit this review if it ever gets acknowledged, which I highly doubt.

Works as intended outside of calls. However when in a call for long sessions the app slowly degrades in performance as the app is used. It will pick up lag until it ultimately freezes and crashes. This issue has been present for a while now and it's very off putting. For reference the issue seems to be due to the app caching images and or messages with each session and with how the call keeps that session going render the app being unable to clear the cache resulting in the performance drop.

The recent updates made the app nearly unusable. Direct messages take nearly 10-15 seconds to register that someone wrote to you When I try to send an image, they either load extremely slowly, or not at all, which wasn't the case in the native android app. And the emote selection tab... It usually just doesn't work. Some of them require to be clicked 10x to register that you want it to appear. I do like the slight UI improvements, but the performance hit we experience is completely absurd.

I have no complaints about it ever since I've got introduced to discord. Great app for online communication (Texting, screen sharing, call/video call, sharing pictures and videos). I wish that the current app was allowed to switch from main to alt accounts with ease, just like in the current PC version. But hopefully that gets implemented as updates go by. But yeah, overall, great app. Haven't gone through many issues. (Samsung s22 user)

Ever since the update that occurred about 3 days ago, the entire app has completely broken for me. Usually, I'm not against UI changes but this one has been ABYSMAL. In order to screen share, you need to turn on your camera. In order to toggle overlay, you need to head into account settings, voice settings, then another tab. Overlay no longer occurs if you minimize the app. Your camera turns off if you minimize the app. I've tried to reinstall the app, but it can't open the captcha AT ALL.

I can't access the Gallery app on Mobile anymore when trying to post an image in a server. Just the basic Files app. This is infuriating because not only does this make it significantly harder to find what you're looking for, but the app can freeze if the folder you want to open is too big. And no amount of switching between Wi-fi and Mobile Data fixes it. This issue has been going on for loads of people for at least a year or two now, even on the current version (126.12). PLEASE FIX THIS! >:(

It lags occasionally on android and it causes the whole app to either freeze for minutes, it loads in chats extremely slowly and the app is difficult to navigate by how laggy it gets. it also slows down significantly when there's a lot of people chatting in a server or when someone is spamming u in ur dms. It also has problems sometimes when a lot of people are pinging and it begins to lag randomly. do it fix it, i like the app but the lagging and occasional breaking ruins the whole thing.

Impeccable app with a lot of versatile features, easy to use and great support. Best yet, no ads and totally free, no tricks. Just wish I found it sooner! Edit (PC only): every update, I have to check my settings because more often than not, they reset settings that are NOT NECESSARY TO CHANGE! They keep reverting "load discord at startup" and "clicking C minimizes" which takes up resources I cant afford to use when I am not using Discord... major problem & drastically reduces my fondness.

I recently downloaded discord on PC and while I enjoy it, I dislike how I do not receive any notifications on mobile. I also think it would be nice to mute notifications from a specific server a certain time everyday, like a do not disturb setting. I want to focus on my work during the day but would like to still receive notifications later on, and turning it on and off everytime is a bit of a hassle.

Excellent app for gaming with your friends. A bit complicated and confusing at first, but very very enjoyable and customisable when you become familiar with it. You have a lot of options and features to work with. I thoroughly enjoy the roles and powers system that exists on discord and it is quite unique that way compared to most other social/chatting/conference apps. I use this app for studies and work as well.

I have been using this app for over a year now, and I have no regrets using this. All features can't be usually found in other communicating apps, but I have a suggestion. The maximum megabites is 8MB, I suggest for it to be raised. For a 9 second video, it already surpassed the limit. Other than that, this app is a life changer. Totally recommend.

Pretty cool to have a version on mobile. It's been great. My biggest gripe though is that when people are chatting in other servers, their messages pop up at the top. It occurs once every 10 seconds, and there's no way to turn it off. Every time I'm trying to select an unrelated server or channel, it pops up at the right time and throws me off where I'm actually trying to go. Please create a way to disable this feature. Other than that, thank you for everything you do

I love discord! It's a very reliable and trustworthy app to call and chat on. My only one issues is that sometimes the audio glitches and cuts, or makes it seem like your underwater. But that's only a minor issue that can sometimes be fixed by leaving and joining back on the call.💜

I guess since the new update I couldn't join servers. It always made a link that was always invalid, and even after searching for the problem it was still invalid even after there was no problem. I'm not sure what to do at the moment I am still looking for the problem. It's a very great app, it works just as intended but it's just this bug

great app. i talk to all my friends on here and the ability to explore different servers and even create your own is amazing, its such a great opportunity to meet new people. to my surprise, ive learned a lot about different cultures just from meeting new people in servers and getting to know them. i also love the sneaky secrets that are snuck in for android, i love super dark mode! overall this is a great app and ive recommended this to a lot of friends. love it!!

I've met so many great friends and joined several wonderful communities with Discord! It has changed my life! Love the interface and the use of custom emojis. I'm always excited about the new updates. There are a few annoying bugs- for some reason sometimes a custom emoji will simply stop working!! It's happened to me and my friends several times. What gives?? Would give 5 stars if this is fixed

Super easy to use, even the company I work at uses it as the primary means of communicating with each other! Voice channels could be better though. A lot of static and disconnect I don't experience with other similar apps that allow voice calls and chat rooms.
