The app used to work but after the last update it prompted me to log back in with my provider. However when brought to the screen within the app to log into your provider doesn't work. After clicking the provider that I have (dish) the links to take you to the provider login to verify an active subscription don't work.. in fact none of the links work not for spectrum DirecTV AT&T dish Optimum Etc none of them work. So right now the app is not usable.
This app still crashes every time you try to cast something to a Chromecast. This has been occurring for almost two months, and has been reported many, many times by myself and others. It's a fine app if and when it functions, but the lack of an update is perplexing to say the least. *Update* After an additional month, the app is finally functioning again. Bonus three stars for it functioning correctly and identifying then rectifying the problem, but removing one star for the abysmal delays in updating this software for the end user.
Can't even get into to the app. Because something is obviously wrong with the server connection. Really Disney.? Unbelievable, This is such a disappointment for you. I should've listened to what others had said in their reviews. But, guess we all find out for ourselves, what a terrible, horrible waste of a app this turns out to be. Sheesh!! 🙁😢 Lol That's funny. A generated general response to contact support inside of the application. My review clearly states that, I am unable to get into this waste at all, to even be able to get to contact the app support. OH BOY!! LOL!!😲😬
Very annoying when it doesn't let me sign into my tv provider. It'll show the provider listings, I click mine, go to sign in, it goes right back to the provider listings. It's been this way for a while now. Thought the update would've fixed the problem but nope...same thing. It can be pretty slow at times too. My daughter is obsessed with the shows but frustrating when she can't watch them or play the games. This happens on all the devices I have the app on.
Update 8.24.17: Never received a message from Disney about an update, but many other people did on 8.21.17 so... We feel left out. >:/ We tried the app again after 5pm on 8.22.17 and the connection to our Google Chromcast started working again. It stinks that it took close to 3 months to fix this issue, but we are glad to have it back since our little one enjoys the shows. ____________________________________________________ Update 6.27.17: I have uninstalled the app, did a factory reset on the Google Chromecast (three dots in settings of the Chromecast app) cleared my cache on my device, restarted my device, and reinstalled the app. Went to connect with the Chromecast and I get this message....again. "Unfortunately, Disney Junior has stopped." Still no one has messaged me or anyone else on this app or even let me know of any upcoming update. :^/ ____________________________________________________ Update 6.2.17: We are trying to just open the app on the tablet, but it sits there for about 2 minutes with no response. Please fix the issue and help us connect to the Chromecast our 16 month love Mickey. ______________________________________________ Original comment a few weeks after this happened: We enjoy this app, but when we connect it to our chromecast it shuts down. Please fix this issue.
Such a disappointing app from disney. It looks amazing but works less than half the time. Took them 6 months to fix casting. Still crashes or can't play video more than half the time. All it does is get my kids excited, then I get a tantrum when it doesn't work. Gives me zero confidence Disney's streaming service will work when they pull their movies from Netflix.
This is a horrible app. I always have to re-install it so that it loads. If I don't, my tablet TURNS OFF trying to load it. 😢😠 Also, now it's getting stuck. This is NOT A GOOD APP! If my other movie app worked at this house, I would use it instead. This app gives me great hassle. Fix now! I must have athority over my own app. 🙅
I would love to use this app. There seems to be an issue when you try to connect to Xfinity. It won't even let me log in, I just get a message saying that the show isn't included with my provider. It is very frustrating.
Finally got an update. Super excited seeing as how I couldn't use it with my chromecast for months and my daughter LOVES Mickey Mouse Playhouse. Finally connects to my tv, but now it won't let me sign in to my TV provider so I can only access two full episodes. Update: the app had been fixed! I still only gave 4 stars because it takes so long to load every page. But I'm very glad to have mickey back so I can guarantee some happy 3yo time while I put my 1yo down for his nap!
After the latest update the app playing video with only half the screen with video and the other half cut off with the cloud Disney app background. Using pixel XL.
App doesn't work anymore even with the update. No longer able to sign into ANY provider. No troubleshooting works. App is now completely unusable.
I am not able to cast to my tv from the app. the casting symbol is shown on the top of the screen when I open the app and when I press the casting square nothing ever happens. Can't really use app as I won't give my phone to my 1 year old and can't cast the shows to the tv.
Used to be our favorite app however recently when you try to load a show only half of the screen loads, cutting off half of the show,and the other half remains the standard cloud background...it's no fun to watch half of a show. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no improvement. I have a sad toddler!!!
Unreliable. Always has bugs. When it works its great but half the time it doesnt.
Half of screen when videos playing is covered with blue screen on my pixel phone. looks like a buggy app for android.i never faced this on iPhone
App was fine until it started acting odd. I'm going to try reloading. It. On both of our phones it is only showing half a screen.
Recent update fixes issue with casting videos. Overall, the app works OK, but it's a little slow and bugs out somtimes (requiring relaunching the app)
Why did you remove almost all the episodes of mickey mouse club house?? Not cool. Thats my daughter's favorite show. Whats the point of having the app if i cant watch all the episodes. This app is a disappointment. You need to log in with your cable provider for more episodes. It should have nothing to do with cable providers. Just offer all episodes of all the shows. I would gladly pay for the app if it meant all episodes of all shows.
It is a great app don't get me wrong, but it will not cast. I have downloaded it on both my phone and tablet and it will not work. Every time I press the cast button it does not give me options. Hopefully this will be fixed with next update
This app is not reacting like it should.i just tried to link it to my Google chrome so my son can watch the shows on the television but it won't sync it won't let me sign into the service provider so I can watch all the shows so now I'm going to just delete this app.. nice while it lasted
The app was much better until it started crashing when I cast to my Chromecast. My grandkids don't use it much since. The latest update is working again, thanks. We are very much enjoying it.
This app stopped working once my phone upgraded to Android 8.0. It only displays video on the left half of the screen, while the right half only shows the app background image.
You cut down on the Mickey mouse clubhouse espiodes A LOT!!!! If I have to use my cable provider in order to use this app which I have to pay for and you get the money then I should have full access to every espiode not just a hand full....
Finally get a version for Shield TV and intermittently the audio duplicates in a echo manner. App is very buggy and slow. Come'on Disney!
