So I just tried to buy a polo shirt and I clicked on The view details for the DVC discount. That discount expired December 21 then I tried to go to purchase and it said sorry we're having technical difficulties. Why is it a problem to make this app work when we are this far ahead with apps and especially with Disney's IT team.
I am having a hard time with this app. Looking at everyone else's comments. Looks like a big concern that need to be addressed. Every time I log in and look for an item, the app closes out. And there is currently no updates to the app.
It keeps telling me to login even though I have, its slow to load what I am searching for, and keeps telling its unable to connect to their server.
Ah! Have to turn off VPN. Works great after that. One suggestion: let user know they have to turn off VPN.
I can open the app but if I search or click on anything it shuts down. What a mess.. This has been happening for months now. Seems like a lot of others are having problems.
Store and app are a poor replacement for the stores, and offer almost nothing from the parks.
The app hasn't updated in ages. It's still showing back to school and the Disney Dogs collection. It's also showing items that are no longer in stock as though they still are. The app itself is basically unusable right now. Also hate that the app is only viewable in portrait mode. Would be nice to see the app in landscape mode as well as it would make the app so much easier to use.
Crashes constantly, never remembers my password and everytime wants me to re enter it only to tell me it's wrong when it's not. I literally have to reset my password everytime I use the app, 4 or more times. The shopping experience is just okay, if you hit the back arrow in a search it will return you to the beginning of your search, even if you were half way or more down the page. Overall, very poorly designed and I am a huge Disneyphile so really the app should not be like this.
Its a nice window shopping app. It doesn't let you make purchases with any form of payment not even with their own disney visa card. When you get to the check out screen and type in your payment information and touch review order the app crashes and asks if you want to give feed back (which I have given feedback about this) or open a new page. If you choose open new page the the paymet screen pops up again and you have to type in all of your info again and when you finish doing that the review order button stays grayed out so you can't go foward with the transaction so, as I said before you can't buy anything. I hope that they will fix this issue.
App does not work properly. Have been receiving a message stating cannot connect to the server for weeks now. Prior to that none of the links provided on the home screen worked. The app would state whoops, we cannot find that what you are lookingfor. Very annoying for such a large company. I expect better from Disney, my shopping experience is not magical.
Wish I loved this app but there are too many glitches. The images of the products and price don't match. I click on an item to see the details but when it does, it's a completely different product. Also, when I scroll down too fast, it glitches and takes me to the top. The wish list doesn't show all of my items I saved, and when I scroll down towards the bottom of list, the image and the price/name of product/edit option/add to cart are all on top of eachother. Can't click on the option I need.
Most of the time it's very good, but I've recently had trouble ordering items off it due to glitch performance. Also, it shows a lot of merchandise that hasn't been available for a long time. For example: it will display Dooney and Bourke bags that have been sold out for years among search results, while not showing bags that are current!
Convenient to use for shopping, but the app is VERY glitchy. I'm constantly being taken to the log-in page even though I'm already logged in, and when I do try to sign in, it makes me do it again and again even though it went through the first time. And almost every time I open the app, I constantly receive an "Unable to Connect" pop-up on my screen. It's not hard to ignore it since I'm still able to navigate the site despite the error messages, but it's frustrating to experience nonetheless.
This app does not work. Frequent crashes, never recognizes correct passwords, slow load times, does not accurately portray discounts reliably. It is frankly ridiculous. I truly miss the ShopDisneyParks app, which functioned as it was meant to without any of these hiccups. I appreciate the thought to integrate all shops in one, but the app cannot handle the load.
Hate it!! I loved the Shop Parks App before, bought lots of very expensive things. Its like you don't want annual passholders to shop in the parks anymore because you don't tell us where to find the items. And if you try shopping on the My Disney Experience app it takes you to the old shop parks app that isn't supported anymore. Discounts were automatically shown, you're just supposed to go on faith for discounts, tax, etc. Sorry I don't have it!! Give me back my old app that worked!!
I loved the "Shop Disney Parks" app, this one? NOPE! 1st problem; can't locate merchandise with WDW parks & Disney Springs. 2nd problem; NO ANNUAL PASSHOLDER DISCOUNT! This is a huge surprise! A MASSIVE disappointment!!! 3rd problem; I wasn't able to check-out. I needed to update my shipping address & that kept me from being able to check out. Based on other reviews it seems like this would have been a problem even if I didn't need to change my address. 😑 I REALLY miss the old app. 😞
It is kind of slow sometimes and lags. I also wish there was an easier way to browse products in a more specific way (By character) or something like that. It has also cleared my wish list completely, multiple times, and I had hundreds of items on it. You also can't access the personalization shop items from the app.
Pretty disappointing for Disney standards. I am a huge Disney fan. I will definitely continue to use the app and the online store. However, it must be known that ShopDisney is a horrible representation of the company. The amount of errors a user will receive is incredibly overwhelming. The UI/UX design is simple and easy to use. However, the backend always seems to have trouble. When using ShopDisney, be patient for the site is slow and unreliable. With so many user issues with ShopDisney, the response time for guest services is delayed. Shout out to all guest service cast members. They are always getting the worst of things because the website is mediocre.
After installing the updated version of this app it would not open. Its frozen on the 1st page. I would give a zero because I'm so frustrated.
What serve are you trying to connect? This has been going on for months. Missed so many items I wanted to purchase. "Disney do you need my money so you can fix your web problem?"
Edit: Even after the update I still cannot purchase on the app. It goes circles, enter my credit card, review order, then back to the enter credit card screen with no CC # entered. GARBAGE. Cannot save a credit card to app. Everytime I try I get a message saying my session expired. I've signed out and logged back in and entered the card info immediately afterwards. Still get the expired session message and nothing is saved.
This app has horrible performance. It is laggy and gives odd errors. It let me put material in my cart that was out of stock, but then would not let my transaction complete without removing the item. It wouldn't tell me which of my five items needed to be removed! The sad thing is that I buy less. I used to use the shopParks app which performed beautifully. It was so easy to use, I bought items more often.
I would give a better rating but right now can't even get the app to load. Thought you guys said you just updated it? Might wanna fix that update.
i can't add things to my favorites list through the app. It signs me out at least every other time i get into it. I can't zoom in on pictures. I only like the app to conveniently see what different items are available and if I end up making a purchase it is pretty easy.
I love using the app but after a recent update it logs you out after like a minute of being logged in.
Takes forever to even load the app. Organization of the app is horrible. I can't find things as easily as the web site. The drop down menu should reflect the website's menu. It doesn't load my saved payment method and requires me to add it again. It should add a feature where you can store your gift cards so you can use it as payment. Though I don't even think the app allows you to use gift cards as a payment method.
The app is SUPER slow all the time. It takes forever to load upon opening it up. I'm always kicked out of my account so I have to log in every single time. It crashes frequently! I also wish it offered a wish list feature. I expected a more seamless UX...I mean it's Disney.
It's very glitchy. I can't log in or even see the merchandise, because it can't connect to the server. I thought it was my wifi, or my phone, but after reading the reviews, I see I'm not the only one. Do better Disney.
Edit: it's now may and even though it was"updated" in April, still cannot connect to server and is displaying Christmas ads/merch. (January:)Somebody PLEASE fix this. Last year something happened to it and it took months for it to be fixed then it shut down again, it won't ever let me login or load a page. It's frozen on Christmas items. I miss the app
