Times are not accurate at all. MK was showing 20 min wait times, this app was showing 30 and the actual wait was more like 10-15. They claim WDW inflates their wait times (which I don't doubt) but this app does not give a more accurate picture. Would not recommend, waste of money and did not use after the first hour at MK, didn't even bother opening at AK.
I won't go to Disneyworld or Universal without Touring Plans. Well worth the cost and their table finder app is priceless. I've been using it for years now. I like how it uses user input and even though I might not input a lot, I appreciate the opportunity to help others.
The website and app are good for planning. But if you want an all inclusive experience in an app...this isn't it. No map with your plan like there is on the website. Modifying your plan is not as easy as you'd think because the drag and drop feature of the app for ride order doesn't consistently allow you to drag and drop. Too long didn't read version, love the website and the theory of the app but the app is not well designed.
we have successfully used this app and have paid for the online subscription for over five years. However, the last two visits and now one coming up in July, the app constantly crashes. I can never get past the title screen without it shutting itself down. When it works, this is a Beyond five star app and an essential tool for every visit. I'm just hoping an update comes along that stops the crashing so I can begin using it again.
Planning itineries on Touring Plans / Lines takes some time and effort, but this is rewarded 100 fold in the park, where you save time and vastly reduce stress. The Lines app itself is very easy to use whilst in the parts. I am a repeat customer and I recommend it to everyone who asks. Considering the high cost of Disney it doesn't need to save you much time to quickly repay the subscription fee.
It's a very good service but the app needs to be brought up to 2019 standards. The interface is not great and editing plans is kind of a pain. One example is editing parks you want to visit on any given day. If i select or deselect a park it shoots me back to the plan. It would be great of i could make multiple changes and then swipe to the next day.
Very good for planning your trip to WDW! BUT... BEWARE. I made a good plan for each day of our trip. While at Magic Kingdom I went to check the plan and accidentally hit the Optimize function. The app rearranged everything and i couldn't figure out how to get MY plan back. The Optimize option should give you a warning to ask if you really want to proceed. Or an easy way to undo. Or lock your plan. As it is, by accidentally touching that option, my plan was wiped out.
This application hasn't been updated in over a year. In addition the interface is probably about four or five years old, or more. It is clunky and inefficient. At a premium price for membership, I don't believe it's worth it. The Disney app has similar information the downside there is you have to deal with all the shopping they hit you with. That said I'm not paying the premium price these folks want for an application that is sorely outdated with respect to its usability.
It's easy to use, I love the search menus feature, and if the lines part actually works it'll be great for my trip in a few months, but there's a subscription for this, and unfortunately a lot of the info is just not up to date. For example, many xmas and halloween items are still on menus(it's march)
Overall this has been a very helpful app. Overall it has been fairly accurate. I like that I can get to my plan and that I can check off what I've already done. I also like that it can be crowdsourced by timing people's actual time in line to help keep things updated and accurate. I do wish that you were able to get more information about each ride or activity, such as where it's located and if it's a show, the other times that the show is occurring.
the first time we used this app, it worked super well at Disney, not so well at universal. the times were mostly inaccurate at universal. this time, we've had trouble with the app losing our place, ie, always taking us back to the home screen when the phone goes to sleep, so we've been having to navigate back to our touring plan constantly. also, the animal kingdom opens some rides earlier than the posted park opening time. Touring plans didn't take that into account at all.
It looked promising at first but then after I created the 2nd plan all of a sudden combined with the 1st plan after clicking on optimize. So now I'm looking at 2 plans with 2 different parks in one. It takes a while to optimize too. I don't know if it does that intentionally since I didn't pay for subscription. I was testing it out before I'll subscribe but now I totally changed my mind on subscribing. I uninstalled it already.
I have used this app many times and it has been amazing. Most of the reviews below 4 stars are people that just want wait times. If you just want wait times use the Disney app, if you want to maximize your trip use this apps. We went with 8 people last summer (very busy) and were in the parks for 4 days. I ended up putting in all the rides everyone wanted, the fast passes that were pre-booked, restaurants breaks and even a 3 hour siesta back at hotel each day. As relaxing a trip as you can here
We are using the app for our first trip to Disney with our son. It has made planning so easy and we absolutely love the optimize feature. The user interface is a little basic but the functionality is such a brilliant idea and so useful. We love that we can see the wait times, have our plan for the day and get access to the restaurant menus all in one place.
Really, Really dislike the new december app update. Can't find anything, the menu items search (which was actually one of the best features) is now weird under the "Parks" tab and hotels completely missing from app. To see hotel menus you need to open external link (annoying). Too "colorful", not really user friendly. Bring back the old app, it was simple and actually really good!
Great content, but the UI and layout need a serious upgrade. It would pay for itself. Not just the look, but the basic layout and structure of the app (and web page). Aside from that, even little things life things like, make a widget for reporting wait times would be nice.
Essential app for conquering Walt Disney World. We've used it for years and I honestly can't imagine visiting without it.
Excellent app, when it works. I've been using the app for years and it's always helped us out. It just recently stopped working on my Pixel 3 phone. It was working but now crashes immediately after starting app. I hope it gets fixed soon as my trip to WDW is approaching soon. Update: it still doesn't work after latest Android update 10. Made my trip less awesome for sure.
Our first Disney trip was 9/2018. used this app to plan every detail. the info I got from this app made it simple to map all possible ways to achieve all we did. Our young family knocked out everything we wanted to see!! Now trip 2 for 11/2020 is on the radar. So we signed up a second time. Will not do Disney planning without it. We also use a travel agent, I am just a hands on always! thanks for the amazing app!!
This was a disappointing waste of money. The info about the rides was good (although for some reason the info is only available when the parks are open), but the app has so many glitches, that it is IMPOSSIBLE to put together a proper plan for a day. I put in a show in my plan, and then later when I wanted to remove it, the app kept throwing it back in. When I finally had it removed and then tried to input my fast passes, the app kept giving me times for that same show. Arghhhh!
Have used this app and previously the book on 4 separate trips to Disney World over the last 15 years with great success. Have always been able to complete everything we wanted at all the of the parks in 4 days or less using the standard plans and making custom plans. Very easy to use.
Best Planning App- Don't Go To Disney Without It!! This app allowed me to choose the rides, shows restaurants and even break times before going to Disney. We need exactly where we needed to be and at what time! It also allowed us to see true wait times for rides which were much shorter most of the time that the times the Disney App reported. We were able to do everything we wanted in each park because we knew exactly where to go and when we needed to be there. Highly recommend!
We travelled to wdw may 15-19. In general, Lines was very useful, and we used it multiple times throughout the day. On the bad side, however, Lines consistently rated the parks far less crowded than they actually were. For instance, Lines said a park was a level 3 or 4, but we found ourselves in wall to wall people - even at rope drop and throughout the day thereafter. On a "4" at ak, we found ourselves in crazy cattle car lines to get in its tough to be a bug!!
Using the app and the book helped us cut a lot of queue times and to plan properly our trip. We are very happy we acquire these, even when we didn't get the room we asked for. We are going again this year and already bought the 2019 edition for both!! Totally recommend it!!!
The algorithm behind this app is fantastic. The app itself could use a revamp in terms of UI. I use their website more than the app, but the app is still handy to use when I need the info quickly (e.g. while I am on vacation). I pay for the subscription and use their predictions to plan my entire Disney trips.
Very accurate predictions of crowd levels. Far exceeds the official Disney app, including new Genie, in being helpful not only in selection of park to visit but in negotiating your itinerary while in the park to minimize wait time in lines. This is a biggie when trying to use your resources efficiently!
awesome app well with the money, far exceeded my expectations. I can just add the rides we want to do and our fastpass reservations and it works out a custom touring plan. also being able to see all the menus for all the restaurants in one place a fabulous for finding vegan options! ace.
Biggest time saver ever for Walt Disney World. It showed us exactly where to go and when to avoid crowds and lines. So it's basically like Google maps or Waze for the park. My favorite part is that we can decide what we want to go to, when we want to take breaks, and when we went to eat. Then, we just click "Optimize," and the app tells us exactly where to go to avoid long lines and get the most out of our time at the park. There are a few bugs, but this app is the best way to maximize WDW time
