Wait times are not accurate. This is in the app and on the signs at the attractions. Sometimes they are close, but other times it seems the lightning lanes get all the spots and the wait time can be double the posted time. This happened to us on several rides. The real problem is probably poor lightning lane management. Back to the app, when you click on an attraction to get a lightning lane, it shows the whole list of lightning lanes and you have to find the attraction again and click on it again. We had a super large group. I think it probably works best to get everyone s accounts linked together, but we didn't do that so we were constantly coordinating to get lightning lanes together.

The app is just horrible. Not only is the lighting pass a JOKE. when booking times it will show one time. For example 11 Am to 12pm but once you book it, the time changes to 1145 to 1245. Ordering food was the easiest. But overall my Disney experience was by far the worst I've ever had. The app didn't allow us to choose rides we wanted to go on for the lightening passes toward the end of the night even though it showed times available. Disney definitely needs to fix that.

This entire process is really confusing, and it feels like it's been designed purposefully cryptic to reduce rider attendance or something... Modifying dinner reservations also never worked. There should be a save button, or if times aren't available they should be grayed out. It's nice to have genie+ as an option, but the on-boarding experience is lacking if not completely absent. I expected a way better UI for a company like Disney.

In my heart, Disney can do no wrong. So, I like the app & have practiced using the features before I head to the park. The only thing I don't like is the amount of time you have to use your phone/app now, in the parks, to have a good experience. Aren't we on vacation so we can get away from technology for a while? Well enough of that, I like the quick access to info on the app, doing mobile ordering, etc.

The map could be much more interactive. Or when I select a food or ride experience, I should then get an option to see it on the map. It should all be inter-connected: select a ride, find it on the map, see wait times, height restrictions, book Lightning Lane. It was not so easy to navigate.

So far, Overall, I like the app, but there is one thing that frustrates me, so far. I practically have to redo the Genie plan your day thing every time I come in. Im not seeing a way to go back in and see the selections I made the first time without having to go through all the steps again from where it says "Let's get started". I should be able to do that once and then access those selections again at any time.

Serves it's purpose I guess. It's not at ALL intuitive for people that just want to check wait times and reserve a fast pass timeslot. Seems designed for people who have NEVER visited the park and have zero organizational skills as it insists on displaying itself on your personal planner for the day. It's tedious to navigate even when you get it down and is a downgrade from the previous versions.

Navigating and booking anything via this app is not intuitive. Utilizing this app was amazing for former visits; however, it has been opaque and frustrating for every transaction attempted as we prepare for our next trip. Unfortunately, as cumbersome as this is, it is still the only way, besides actually calling for each individual need, to put together and plan one's day. I am overall displeased and dismayed that this is the provided tool to navigate our trip.

The app is making it next to impossible to use my park hopper. I can't easily change parks or look at lines before hopping. The ability to make lightnig lane reservations sometimes dissappears. I find the app to be frustrating and it is wasting time. I can't believe I have to use it to access the features I paid for.

Confusing, full of "you need to buy more things go more places". The app is focused on Disney and their profit rather than what YOU want to do. The Universal app is much better, faster caused on what YOU want to do rather than what THEY want you to do. If the app is hard top use and the "developer" keeps having to explain how to use it, as they do here, the problem is the APP not the user. Thanks for the feedback. Clearly based on other feedback this app needs a redesign, I'll edit my review to leave more clarity but remain unconvinced.

I thought this app was horrible. When reserving a time for a lightning lane if you did not refresh the tip board then once you book it the time might be 20 to 30 minutes later. If you refresh it and you are on a park hopper it resets back to the disney park so you have to change the park each time. Figuring out linking the tickets was a challenge as well. Seems silly for these small annoyances not to be standard operating procedure.

It's terrible for navigating the day-of. It's hard to find the wait times and then when you find the ride you can't access the genie feature through it, you have to find it somewhere else. It also has a hard time updating the parks if you parkhop. It's very chaotic and not simple, seamless, or easy to use.

This app is terrible! The lightening pass you pay 100$ plus for but you can only pick one ride every hour or after the time frame given. Some times two hours or 4 hour wait time for rides. You also have to pay extra 20$ for the most popular rides even if you have LL. Mobile orders disappear when ordering food. I had to look at the App more than enjoying the park because it was so complicated and time consuming to use the LL and order food. It helped with navigating.

Simultaneously overwhelming and inadequate. Not intuitive to use and yet they insist on making you use the app for everything. Many functions just launch a browser and point it to the Disney website. Answers to simple questions are either buried under pages of useless search results OR you have to call a phone number that takes legit research to find. To make it more aggravating, cast members love to shirk responsibility to help by saying "it's all on the app."

This app is all over the place. No way to mark a ride or event to see it later in like a schedule view. Tickets are given behind a hamburger menu. Tips are useless and take up almost all of the prime space. Events are down on a day by day basis rather than a schedule. Randomly crashes.

Most frustrating app on my phone. Can never find the most basic park reservation features. Only one person in a group can make and view ride reservations per day. After you make a park reservation, is a maze to locate it in the app. This app will triple your stress levels on a hot and busy day.

Not user friendly when trying to book lighting passes or navigating the site. Wish it was easier to look for the list of rides and then to choose which one to get passes too. I felt like it was always chance that I would find it and I wish it was more straight forward. Also would be nice to have a way to see where the nearest bathrooms are (maybe there was but I couldn't find it.) Definitely a learning curve so get familiar with it a few days before going.

2/22 No virtual queue. Less crashes. Bizarre interface. Ordering food is somewhat better. 10/21 Laggy. Crashes. Confusing interfaces at every turn. The virtual queue is a slap in the face to every guest who doesn't win the completely random lottery. The entire app seems like it was never tested by a real guest, or that it was designed to waste guests' time.

It covers EVERYTHING. I just need to get more familiar with it but making resrvations & using the Genie plus features were not difficult once I got started. I also appreciated the assistance from cast members when I got stuck. They were able to walk me through it.

All in all it was an amazing app. Worked fine tickets were all there however my family and I got the genie+ feature and that really screwed our day up. It would be better if we could schedule our whole day with the lighting lane all day all at once instead of one attraction at a time. By the time we got from one end of the park to the next the wait time for the lighting lane was close to two hours before we could make the reservation. Please fix

The app is slow and not easy to make reservations. Bandwidth in parts of the park make the app unusable. Review update May 2022. It has not gotten much better. Navigation is not intuitive nor easy. App would not apply my Magic Key discount on mobile food order.

Difficult to use. When you use the tip board to make a reservation, the time can be 90 minutes later than what is on the tip board. When you want to chat with a Disney member for help, it can take days to get a generic response that doesn't help because you're not at the park anymore. Used the app for food and we got cold bacon and eggs and luke warm french toast.

This app is not that great, especially if you have food allergies. You have to look at every menu individuelle to see what you van eat. I am an ova-vegeterian and gluten free. I wish I could list what I can eat and they tell me where I can find it. Génie + is a joke!
