Dive Log

* Please Read *
An electronic Scuba Dive Log book for Android. Record your dives and diving licenses, view sites on a map, and dive statistics. Buy the Dive Log Key to unlock the full functionality and support development. Without the Key only a small number of dives can be stored.

See the update info in the application for what's new. Unfortunately I only have time and knowledge to support a very limited number of languages for the application. Please let me know if you want to contribute a translation.

Be aware that screenshots are from an emulator running Android 2.3 and the application might look slightly different on your device.

A friendly request: Please reply by email if you find problems so I can try to help. If you put it in market comments there is not much I can do since I can not respond to the directly.

Most common questions:
* How to switch to metric / imperial units? From the main screen open the menu by pressing on the menu button on your Android device. This can be a physical button on the device or a soft button on the screen. From the menu select the Settings option to open the settings screen where you can make the units selection.

* I can not edit the contents (diver, dive, etc.)?Unless specifically opened for editing (e.g. by long pressing on a dive from the dives list and selecting it from the context menu), a screen will show info in reading mode (to avoid accidental modifications). You can start editing by opening the menu and selecting the edit mode.

* I can not find the Key in the market / can not install it?The Key uses a Google copy protection mechanism and is not made available by Google for devices that it does not authorize. E.g. when the device is rooted, has custom firmware installed, comes from grey import, etc. At the moment there is not much I can do about this, but feel free to sent me an email.

Kevin, I've had to do a few factory resets with my phone, you have to install dive long normally (unregistered and then install the key) they'll link together and it'll work. I really like the app, only 2 things I would want to change/add. The pictures like everyone has mentioned, and the ability to enter data into a computer and then sync it with the app.

This app is not even a close resemblance of its IOS counterpart. I was using Divelog on my Apple, and when I switched to Android I was delighted to see Divelog is also available. Only to find out the synchronization is tedious and clunky. My personal information, Dive sites, equipment and dive types from Divelog is not transferred. I'm hoping that this Android app catches up to the IOS one! Direct synchronization with Divelog would be a great start.

I had just input a few of my dives info into the app. It works well... It will be good if it had a 'sync' function so I do not need to copy the backup files to 'cloud'. Another thing missing here is the lack of an option to upload an unforgettable/memorable picture of each dive... Please consider this..,😀

Excellent app - I use it on my Note 5 with no problems at all. I particularly like the statistics feature which illustrates in detail the variety of the dives you have done. You can keep a good backup on the SD card, which you can then transfer in a variety of ways onto other tablets, computers, or into programs eg MS Excel. I highly recommend this particular app, especially as I have tried several other dive logs which came no where near the simplicity of use, clean function, and versatility of this logbook. This app is not perfect by any means, but if you just want a quick, clean record of your dives with a backup, and no hassles of registering with various sites, faffing around on the cloud, or making things too complex, then this is the app for you. Please note you only have 5 free logs before you have to pay to get the full functionality of this app. The developer should perhaps make this very clear from the outset as people get quite irritated if something they think is free turns out not to really be so - false pretences and all that. However the full app is in my opinion worth every penny of the small fee. A great simple dive log.

Good design. But not free you can only save 5 dives before u nead to buy it. Good for if u forgot ur logbook

Few minor, picky niggles (let's be honest folks, App designers can't please all of the people all of the time!) but overall it's still one of my most frequently used and favorite Apps.

First thing, you need to go into the menu to be able to enable editing..... I couldn't find any menu option! The second thing is that it claims to be free but it is only the first 5 dive logs that are free, seeing as I am a trainee instructor and dive 2-4 times a day it's not much use to me. Not an app that I would use or recommend.!!!!!

This is so funny! I can use the demo no problem, but the full pro version is not compatible with my deceive. Dudes do something cause this is just wrong. Google Nexus S.

It's a nice app, and has almost everything you need...but being able to sync profile data and having a signature block are two things I really miss from my iOS devices. Even Windows Phone 7 has a signature block! Looking forward to updates Update: There haven't been any...since May 2012? What happened?

Could use some things like transfer from PC log software, dive sites repository, signature block, site list, import csv, import dives from backup without wiping current ones, and an edit mode for multiple dives.

I like the layout and easy to use. I would love to be able to printout my dives so I could have a hardcopy incase something happened to my tablet.

Doesn't mention anywhere u have the pay til u've wasted ur time filling up a bunch of logs

This app would have been fantastic if I could sync it with my main diving log app. Currently I use MacDive, and there are no sane export/import functions in Dive Log that I can use with it.

Used this app for a while and paid for the pro version . Recently tried to add some dives but keeps crashing while inputting the date. Time to try a different one

Been using for over a year. If possible would like to see in future update, on multiple dives at same site, show the number of dives on the the flag. Overall, excellent app.

Only 2 things would make this much better for me (and my friends) to use: allowing a mix of metric and imperial (eg: celcius, pounds, psi, meters), and being able to select the fields to display.

Dives missing. Much data not placed in proper fields. Useless.

I have been using this app for several years now, and it has worked well until recently. Now, whenever I try to change the date or time of a dive, the app crashes. This is incredibly annoying if you wait a few days before you enter your dives in the app.

It needs to allow you to transfer your dive from my phone to tablet (downloading to sd card and uploading hasen't worked yet)

Hey guys I've used this app for 4years now and would like to change my logged dives to a new device. I suggest that the app be linked to a google account so one can access the data from multiple decives using the same account. I must say that the app is very good.

Keep simple or don't bother. App has many dead-end and incorrect spelling. Stupid is app here.

Love the app but have had several issues with synchronization with Dive Log 5.0.

For 5 stars it would need an option to attach dive photos, divemaster signatures and dc stamps (via attaching photos would be fine), cloud sync for multiple devices and some minor corrections should be made to dive info entry interface. otherwise very good and useful.

Great app. I have been using it for over a year. I would have given 5 stars if it had the ability to capture dive master signatures. Perhaps it could be added in future updates.

Still waiting on that big update the dev said he was working on .. like making it friendly for sidemount divers ..

This is a wonderful app that does everything I need. There is one feature I would like and that is a signature area. I use a nexus 7 tab and it would be absolutely perfect if I could get signatures.
