Because many Old Testament books are often more difficult for people to read through and enjoy, these books are paired with the Psalms, Gospels, and Epistles. In this way reader interest is not lost and so the soul can always find something to feed on each day while still covering the entirety of God's Word and cultivating an understanding and enjoyment of the whole Bible. This approach has proven to be more sustainable and enjoyable than simply reading the Bible cover-to-cover from Genesis to Revelation.

"Makeup" days are built into the plan for each month. Each month has 25 days of readings, so you can miss a few days without getting too far behind; this practical measure helps to make this a sustainable reading plan.

The DJ Bible Reading Plan application allows to choose a starting month so that you can begin reading through the Bible in a year at any time, not just on January 1st.
For those who are already following the DJ reading plan on paper, you can switch to using this application by indicating your current progress with the "mark all completed before date" in Preferences.

Love this app, second time using it this year. Would love to have the ability to change the start and end dates of the plan part way through without being sent all the way back to Genesis again though!
Very easy to use app, manageable amount of reading, with a great blend of sections in the Bible to make reading an understanding the Bible an attainable goal!
I just started this Bible reading plan and this app looks great. The text is quickly accessed so I can get started reading quickly and browse to the next passage or day easily.
Well designed. My only qualm is that you can't download the scriptures unless you have a network connection. If you can't download the scripture, you can't mark where you are in the plan. At least make one independent from the other.
This APP makes keeping up with daily Bible Reading simple and organized. Love the few days each month where you can catch up if you get behind.
Does just what it needs to, simple to use. Would be cool if it had an offline option, but that would be extra.
I have accomplished the year 2018. I like the audio as I battle reading long portions of scripture. My eyesight. Highly recommended.
A good app but no longer works especially the recorded reading only works on some passages or stops halfway through others.
It also is an audio Bible!
Want to be able to choose different Bible versions, a dark theme, be able to back up or re-read a selection, insert notes, and open to the context passage.
Great app. Loved using it. But when I was almost done the whole year the old testament part got stuck on habakkuk and I could not continue to complete

This app is Amazing!!
This is a great well thought it App. The fact it can read out aloud only adds to it as you read along at the same time it engages two senses (vision and hearing). I also like how the reading lengths are adjusted making each day similar time duration. Very well done and many thanks to those who put this App together you've done a fantastic job!
