This is the best DJ app for mobile devices. It also is the perfect app for my Hercules DJ Control Mix portable mixer, with the two combined I can set up and mix anywhere. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because it lacks many of the features that the Apple version has, and I would like to have access to those features.
The music library does not recognize existing playlists already visible on the phone's Music app. Also library info is not refreshed even after phone reboot/app cache cleanup/app reinstall. This is major issue and needs to be addressed immediately. I bought Hercules DJcontrol Mix and this "natively supported" software just ruins my purchase. Also us Android users should be able to remap the controller functions, edit FX and samples just as iOS users can. It would be also nice to be able to see BPM of the songs in the library, but I understand the limitations (can't analyze songs before they are loaded in the deck.. but still, try please). Oh, and yes, I bought the pro version of Djay, which was a waste of money as well.
I love this version. Tho there is a slight lag when using bluetooth audio, I'd say an update to the menu functions to do with playlists would be great if possible? I can't seem to find a way to create playlists within the app itself. The history /recently played thing is useful. But an obvious way to create playlists would be great :)
The best found. Music folder features could do with more thought, but the mixing features are good, for a free app. Low ads.
This is the most advanced dj app for Android. It accurately beatgrids and allows for mixing without headphones. It is amazing how much Algoriddm has done to make it work for Android. All of my complaints are on the Android or Samsung side. For instance, I cannot get multi channel audio out of my Mixtour controller on my Samsung S10. It is disappointing. I actually prefer the Android version of Djay compared to the IOS version. It appears to be more accurate at beat syncing. Anyways. Happy mixing
Probably the best DJ app on the market. Like how it's set up. Tutorial videos are stellar. It doesn't work so well on my tablet. Only on the smartphone. Might be an update problem though.
Truly been enjoying this VERY FUN app on my iPad for about 2 years & well, "needles-less" to say, it has since become my default audio player.. Tried many sim..DJ apps & concluded its doubtful there even exists a better/user friendly altern. w/ $ome sort of paid subs?? FREE version of this app "CUTZ the record" w/ all the needed options 2 "Get Bizzy Y'all". Praise 2 whomever 4 programmin the "Scratching" physics "So Damn Tough!" Props go 2 ALL involved in this "Faaa-Fa-Fa-FRESHHH project!!
Mostly use this on my Android device. I would give it a higher score if it didn't keep crashing after about 30 minutes. Really frustrating when you're trying to put a mix together.
3/22: Please read my update history for complete picture***It's shameful you can't make a playlist of your own music***I've upgraded to three stars from 1, why?...I enjoy the AUTOMIX so much that I put up with the atrocious filling system for us who own our music, it's non-exixtent. Through "Pi Music Player", I'm able to rename my dance music files so my dance music displays first in this "d'jay" app. I have low hopes for upgrades because "Algoridim" has so close ties with "Apple", DANG-NABBIT
I'm finding it confusing that the beat in the headphones are a bit faster then what's coming from the speaker, plus I'm having problems with the settings on cueing output and not being able to use my other account and email address for my other music on SoundCloud,,,
It a very nice app but some features still missing like importing of one's own samplers and fx which includes your own Djing name. And please there should be a little touches on the interface on the tablet version to look like that of the PC own please😟
I rode with djay for years. But I would not recommend it. Initially it was a super reliable/responsive app that never crashed. But over the years Algorridm has taken away features just to re-introduce them again later. And I've had to purchase DJay many times over the years. Because your purchase does not include major updates, and the "outdated" version of the app always conveniently becomes buggy around the time you can purchase the "next version". It's just frustrating.
App works fine but the waveform looks horrendous to work with. Surely there's a way to change it to where it doesn't look like low quality vomit? Or atleast a way to make it horizontal not vertical.
This is a really good dj program. Reason for three stars. First and most important, it puts all the music together. Which makes it hard to find songs of same genre and language. Should add file explorer, so you can see folders, because my music is set up in folders in sd card by genre. Get a salsa song it is clumped together with all music, like rock, disco, and spanish music all together. And auto mix needs more customation options for user. Other than that no issues it really easy to use.
