DJI Fly

App/Controller doesnt work correctly with my S8+, it starts to charge the phone, then tries to switch to data transfer over USB and then back to charging. Then it just disconnects, reconnects and repeats the previous things. However it does work on my older S7 Edge. There it runs completely fine and connects like it should, I do get a lot of interference but that might be because of my overkill WiFi network, I'll have to test the Mini somewhere on an open field to get good results. Otherwise it's a great device and the app itself isn't bad, haven't experienced any crashing or bugs in the few flights I've done yet.

I love the drone and the app, but it could be improved. First, every time i fly the app crashes at least once during a flight, which is pretty scary. And second, the templates for editing are great and give you a lot of options, but if you edit in manual you don't have the same options as the templates provide. That would be a great addition!

Help! Pixel 4a can't update to version 1.2.2. The app doesn't even appear when I search the Play store but somehow I have it installed. It must've transfered over from the pixel 2 when I upgraded in the fall, 2020. It also won't update from the app itself. It's annoying since I just picked up mini 2 and would like to change the function buttons. I'm also a little worried about issues that may come up in flight if I'm using this older version.

Not compatible with my LG G7 (but works just fine on my older LG G5). Crashes every time I connect my Mavic Mini. Very frustrating. *EDIT* DJI was prompt in addressing the issue of incompatibility, and I am very pleased with that. I still wasn't able to fly it on day one like I wanted, but I am happy that I can fly it now. Using this app compared to DJI GO 4 is a breeze! Way less clutter and fewer options on screen make for a much more streamlined flying process. I am a fan.

I love the simplicity and the ease of the app. I wish that there were more transitions to choose from. There are different ones used in the templates so I don't see why they couldn't be in the pro video making section. Also wish the templates didn't have writing through 75% of them because the songs and transitions suit what I want but the words don't.

This app is decent for beginners and the Mavic Mini. But I think the Mavic Air 2 is beyond the all and would be better suited with DJI GO. The flight bar displaying where you're at in battery life and how much is needed to return would be very helpful. It would also be nice to have the ability to move things around and change the color for better visibility. Everything on the top bar is washed out by clouds and a clear sky. The distance sensor indicators should also be bigger to see at a glance.

Somehow my app on my android phone updated to 1.2.1 and now it's almost impossibel to fly my mini. It almost never connects to the contoller! I have to start over many times to get a connection. When it does connect, my compass/ position indicator on the screen no longer works. The weak signal message pops up and I loose connection with the mini when it's only a short distance away in open areas with no buildings or other interference! This app is horrible! And to make matters worse, I can't download the older version again! I want to be able to fly my mini! Fix this app or, better yet, give us the older version.

Nice, but I wish a few things were added. -The icons and flight information are too small and not visible at times (characters are colored white, should be more visible against a white background). -Wish we could trace a flight plan within the app. This is very important, even if I had to pay an extra buck for it. If this features were added I would easily rank it 5 stars.

Works well and haven't crashed on me or my MINI. It is easier to use than previosly available for the Mavic AIR. But some prefer that detailed flexibility, so why not make the two Apps freely compatible options? However, I feel the overall user interface still have room for improvement. Like a simple "What do you want to do?" heading, and all options directly available. Thank you and my gratulation to a very fine product.

What did you do to my mini??? Yesterday was the first time i had flown since the update. Soon as it lifted i knew something was wrong. 5 mph wind, and it was struggling to hover in place. Plenty satellites. Calibrated the compass. Started rising and it was slow to respond. Moved forward very slowly with full stick. Phone started vibrating and telling me wind was to strong to control the aircraft and wouldn't be able to return home. Put it in sport mode and it made no difference at all. Fix it!!

It's okay. But can the landing button on left side be a little bigger? ( Or customizable size) I find the button is to small and I had trouble tapping it many times. Also can there be more features for mavic mini.. maybe like a feature that allows a user to preset distance, height, flight times, preset like flight route? You have GPS on it so I don't see why you can't add this feature. Also why is there no way to turn off battery low sounds for drone. This is extremely annoying!

Took my Mini 2 for its first flight, after owning the original Mini without a problem I upgraded for the improved transmission. 10 minutes into the flight the app crashed, and when I selected GoFly all I had was a black screen. I went home and did some flights in my backyard and it crashes every time while taking photos/video. Goes black, takes you back to the home screen and have to press Go Fly again. Can't see myself flying again until this is fixed. Using a new Samsung Galaxy S20+

Crashes immediately on Android 11 Edit: Added another star. Fix was made, but the app didn't work when it was needed while I was on vacation. I don't use this thing very often, so when an occasion arises and it doesn't work, a lot of value is lost. As others have said, this wasn't a surprise. The release date of Android 11 was fairly well known and they had 8+ months to prepare.

I have to recommend the app since u need it to fly the Mini 2. Having said that, it's very scary when your drone is a mile away and the app closes on you. You see a black screen followed after a few seconds with the default splashscreen. Hitting the "Connect Aircraft" button re-enables the app connection to the camera. It appears that the drone can still be controlled without the app working which leads me to conclude that the app is too unreliable. The fc's also impact the flightlog. I have made a few flights over 20 minutes for a total of close to 2 hours now, and my flightlog shows a lot of 2 minute flights for a total of 38 minutes total flighttime. So it appears that the app is even more unstable than I thought initially.

Works without issue Pixel 4 xl. I get really good solid range so far. So the app needs to allow me to control the iso values in video mode, not just picture. Need to add waypoints so I can preset with the drone. Need to add a mode where bottom sensors turn off. Would also not mind speed controls. Very much need live streaming and the ability to save video/audio directly to phone! Otherwise this had been working very well, and I am super pleased with it.

Overall: Restricting RC stick controls to only a standard Z-Axis is a joke! Please fix while I look for 3rd party options. Pros: Quite intuitive and responsive. All the various options work well. The layout is well organized with options for customizing the RC's flight controls. It syncs quickly with my drone, making flying fun. Cons: Options for customizing the flight controls do not include "Inverting" the Z-Axis (Ascend/Decent).

I may be one of the few. But, I love this app. I never have crashes , or Instability issues. All my flights are stable , and the app works wonderfully. I will say, I am using a phone with 16 gigs of RAM , and about a Terabyte of internal storage. So , I have a leg up on hardware specs. I rarely write reviews , but I wanted to make an exception. I love DJI products , and the app experience has been wonderful for me! Happy flying every one!!

This app does not work with S10 android 10. Original message. Now the fix is out people are flying again which is great news. However while the App did not work comunication from DJI was poor at first. When things go wrong, improve communication to the Customer comunity to let them know you are working on a fix and when you expect the issues to be resolved. This will prevent a lot of frustration. Is there anything in place to stop this from happening again?

App won't open. If this is going to be the sole way to operate your drone, you want it to work consistently. Since updating Android, it simply doesn't. It flashes a wicked screen then crashes. I tried everything; restarted my phone, cleared the cache, and reinstalled the app (3 times). Sadly, this happened while I was on vacation and I had brought my Mavic Mini with me. The app worked on my wife's iPhone, but we didn't have the right cords to connect her phone to the controller.

It's pretty good I guess but I don't want to be pestered with alerts about new articles etc. When I click on the notification it just takes me to the main app and a waste of time. Also for android, the app does not conform to norms, does not auto-rotate well and is difficult to exit out of. It sort of wants to be front and centre and hijack your phone. You can exit but it is always a nuisance to figure out how.

Error issue has been fixed, still more than stung that I bought a Mavic Mini 1 and then 6 weeks later, with no announcement, they drop the Mini 2. What the heck happened?! Went from no issues to same issues noted in the most recent reviews. I wish it hadn't updated automatically as that seems to be the consensus as to what the issue(s) are. Hesitant to fly now. Not to mention, my FIRST complaint is I bought the mini 2 months ago and BAM! Here's the mini-2!! Geeee thanks!

It has been very useful for controlling my drone, but it has been even more helpful in getting me started on putting out videos! With the in app features of enabling me to cut videos, reverse the clip, fast forward or slow down, royalty free music provided to include, ability to add simple text or even stickers to my videos, it's really an all in one app that I couldn't highly recommend enough. I look forward to seeing what kind of additional cool features DJI would be able to add!

I owned the Mavic Mini for a short while and then upgraded to the MA2. I don't understand why the gimble was able to be adjusted on the mini but not the MA2? I like the app but there are things that still need to be incorporated for android like being able to stop charging phone and gimble speed adjustment. DJI Fly is easy to use and I have not had any problems with the app so far, can't wait for the update that opens the app up to more options.
