Yet another user here with a DJI drone that is suddenly rendered useless due to the fact DJI's software is not working. The app (all DJI apps, actually) flashes to load, sometimes turns the screen horizontal, then will unload itself. Occasionally, an Android message will pop up telling me to clear the cache because the app has a bug. I've contacted DJI on socials and been told there is no fault, but they want details on what version I've tried. I've tried the side-loaded versions from their website, the app store versions, and even the app for my Osmo fails to work. Obviously a big issue with DJI's software that needs resolving, judging by the number of reviewers having an issue with this. This is not cheap hardware, and to only be able to use it on an old tablet that hasn't been updated for ages is out of order.

On vacation and i pull out my mini 2. And I am not able to use it due to the same bug everyone else is encountering. It's not ok for me to have paid you "dji" a decent amount of money and then not be able to use your product due to a bug in your app. How can you not test something like that before releasing that update. It's quite the downer considering you have a product that is normally great. Hope it's fixed before my trip is over so I can use it to help capture some memory's.

I had the DJI Fly app and it worked flawlessly. Up until the point when I updated my new Galaxy S21 Ultra to the newest software. Then the app crashed and wouldn't open. I tried to open on my old Sony Xperia 10 plus which worked for a few years with the same DJI Fly app. The app opened, but would not flip. I tried to lock and unlock the portrait mode, then restarted it and it still wouldn't work. I really want to fly again because the nature is beautiful where I live and because of this I can't

Overall, it's a good app that works well. That said, there are parts that are unusable. The fonts to display speed, altitude, etc. are TINY and white, with no way to change them. They basically disappear into the background. A lot of folks complain about this, but DJI does nothing to correct it. We really need options to increase font size, change the color, or allow them to be displayed on a solid black background, not the image background. This is my only real complaint about an other excellent app.

Once I updated the app it never loaded back up. It is now a paper weight and just sits on my shelf. I've only had it for less then a year then got a new phone 😫. I called support but they say everything is fine on their end. 1600 down the drain. Reimbursements for product failure should be a thing now. Or fix the darn application!! DJI needs to fix something!!

Zero stars. App does not even start. Tap it: startup screen just appears, then disappears. After a few tries, OS dialog "DJI Pilot keeps stopping". Completely useless. And as far as I can tell so far, so is the actual drone. Do not buy.

It crashed, just like the DJI fly app, i don't know if it happen after i updated my phone but for some reason the DJI fly app is no longer existent in the Google play store and the one i had installed in my phone it crashed just like this app that i just downloaded. I have a one plus pro 9 with the latest Android update and on my ipad, that is a few years old still works with the DJI fly app, And it's available in the apple store.

Had DJI Fly app and it worked perfect, until one day it didn't. So I saw this as the "new and improved" version. Until this bug myself and everyone else is having is resolved I am the proud owner of a 4 figure paper weight, bought the drone to make locating cattle on the farmlands easier, needless to say it's back to the old fashioned way for now. This app won't even open on my LG Velvet.

I got a new a Samsung galaxy fold and wanted to fly my drone today. I downloaded app and as soon as you open it, it immediately closes. I'm going on vacation next week and wanted to take some nice aerial shots of the beach. I'm going to be really disappointed if I can't use it...

Download app from DJI website. Basically, it's much different setup from MavA1. In short, couldn't seem to figure out how to connect the thing but turns out, I had to push the USB C ALL THE WAY IN on both ends. The little connector is chunky and I thought it was a sync issue but once fully in, no problems (since). The cant connect rc to phone message had me thinking I had to set it up similar to mava1 but no, once the remote turns on, it autosyncs with the aircraft. No wifi or anything.

That moment when you have a paid video shoot and you open up the required app on your Samsung note 10+ again to use the drone only to find that the app crashes immediately. With money and time wasting away, you head to their support page only to find no fixes and seemingly no support for an issue that is ongoing... Smh. Dji fix your sh**

I tried to open the fly app and it kept crashing before it works even open so I thought I'd uninstall/reinstall but after I uninstalled the app and went to reinstall I found that the app is no longer available. Then I stated reading the reviews here. I have a Mavic Air2 and a Mavic mini that I cannot fly now. This is absolutely unacceptable. If I could leave zero stars I would. $2,000+ down the drain..

It would be great if there was a simple reset password link in the app. Also, if it allowed the larger fonts to appear fully on the screen, rather than cut off, making me guess or not even be able to click on options.

App no longer works! Opens briefly, flips the screen horizontal then closes. Occasionally a message pops up to tell you to clear your cache, which I did only to find it doesn't resolve the issue. Pretty useless having a DJI drone if the app is doesn't work!!!

Apparently, this app issue has been on going, & they haven't updated their customers via email to make this right. It was a beautiful day to take my drone out, but the app wasn't working due to a bug issue. I went to the DJI website to reinstall the app, and nothing. The app kept crashing. I lost total confidence in the brand. I will no longer promote DJI products. People pay a lot of money buying their products, only to find out that it is not reliable. Small claims court might be an option.

Months of reviews here people reporting the same issue. App will not open and immediately closes sometimes Android prompting to clear cache. How has this not been addressed, it makes all dji devices very expensive paperweights. It is also incredibly annoying to drive for hours to get some drone shots and you can't even open the app.

Terrible useless app. I bought a Mini 2 today and none of the DJI apps work on my phone. After installing they fail to open saying they have a bug. Why invest so much into the hardware when the software to control it does not work? It's like selling a new car and giving the customer a faulty ECU. I am very disappointed and annoyed. I am unable to use my drone. TOTAL RUBBISH. I AM TAKING IT BACK FOR A REFUND

2022-03-02 App does not launch, even with the various versions on their website. (Pixel 5 with Android 12). It was a very frustrating few hours until I realized they had an app called DJI fly, which worked flawlessly. I thought they didn't care about android until I downloaded that from their website. I'm just posting this to maybe help a few people avoid the frustration of trying to get this app to work.

Got the Mini SE for Christmas this year. I have the s21 ultra and the app crashes everytime I try to open it. My brother got the same one, but he has an iPhone and his works flawlessly. I'd love to see an update so I can actually use it the drone, but until this issue gets fixed it's just gonna be collecting dust.

Kar. M. Mar 30, 2022

What is going on DJI? All my DJI products are currently unusable since the last update. It's not what I'd come to expect from such a reputable brand. I've missed out on many great photo and video opportunities because all my DJI hardware has become nothing more than expensive paper weights. Extremely disappointed at the moment. Is there any lead time on when we can expect a bug fix / update?

Tom. W. Apr 25, 2022

What is the fix for this problem? There are enty of models out there that can not fly due to this bug. I have a mint condition Mavic Pro and a Samsung Galaxy. Is this DJI's way of saying their products become obsolete? If they become unusable, why would I purchase another one when there are other alternatives?

I was going to buy the dji phantom 3 Pro but after reading about all the issues with the dji pilot app I thought it best to try it first. Every single time it fails to open and says there's a bug. Don't think I'll bother with any dji drone if the app doesn't work

Rao. M. Mar 20, 2022

Had my app installed and it was running good. Next thing you know, i get a notification that there was a bug in it and i needed to update it. I did and now it won't even open. Great job DJI team, just fantastic! Just in time for the nice weather too.

Ant. L. Apr 3, 2022

Unbelievable. This is so disrespectful to your customers. You sell quite expensive hardware and do not care if your software is working on the latest Android version for months! You don't even have an app in Play market for controlling Mini 2, suggesting to download it from your website. Such a shame!

FOR THOSE NEEDING HELP WITH THE APP. I used to have the same issue with the app crashing for my stabilizer and now my drone, until I went to the DJI app site searching for the specific app and downloaded the "Android APK" file and installed it from there and it works well. Give it a try. I hope this helps DJI is a really great brand that we all should love. Just make sure you download the app, prior to downloading the APK file on the site. Thank you. Have a safe flight.

App still doesn't open, and everything i download is still has bugs. DjI please reach back and help out your customers that have and are still spending lots of their hard earned money.
