DK 15 Minute Language Course

Great book part of the learning program, BUT who ever wrote the software for the audio app apparently really doesnt care how bad it really works. It seriously needs an overhaul to rid it of all the bugs, and yet with all the complaints, nothing has been done to date to fix it. Also, the audio app only civers a small part of each lesson, not the whole thing.

The voices and layout are great...although, I have only gotten to the first weeks lesson and have already come across some frustrating issues. Once the list plays through and stops, I'll press play again but now it continues to skip the first word. This is not all. On enough times when I have pressed pause, and the icon shows that it is paused, the readers will continue talking...and also, I will press on a word to go back to, and my screen recognizes the press, but nothing is highlighted.

Love the app, love the language program, it's all great and very well done! Makes language learning so easy (this coming from someone trying to learn a lot of languages and trying every method possible) A few glitches that you could fix and then I will give you 5 stars: - the back "button" of the phone should navigate backwards in the app, not exit the app - re-listening begins from the last word phrase and then skips the first and goes on Thank you!

I feel like the reviews are not giving it justice. If you can't scan it has a other way. This app really helps I'm only on the 3rd day and even though I am not a beginner, it helps me with speaking which is the most challenging when you have no one. It even has native explain so you get pronunciation The app compliments the book. But it does have bugs I can't lie and they haven't fixed it.

Very easy to use as long as you have the book. Audio works perfectly well too! I have the French book, but I intend to get more considering what a great deal it is to have both a book and an app to learn.

Most of the buttons do not work. You click play and it does nothing but then once in a while it does playback. The buttons on the instruction page do not do anything either. Samsung Note 10.

Super cool that the book has an app that let's you hear the pronunciations but getting them to play is hit or miss. Also, the pronunciations aren't slowed down for those of us who are slow learners and need things repeated. So far this app is more of a hassle than a benefit.

It is an extremely bad experience with this app. I purchased 4 books from this series but can't use the app. I downloaded it to my Samsung A50 phone and waited for more nearly 1 hour for downloading the audio package with my full wifi at home. However, due to the low battery, I couldn't wait longer and decided to uninstall this app. I have already contacted the Ad via email but no one has responded yet. I do need the audio files for my learning. Please send me the dowloadable link. Thanks

App is clean and fresh but it's obvious DK didn't think of the user.As a 29 yr old computer technician, this app is not user friendly and doesn't work efficiently for learning the language.They'd need to give us the option to repeat specific phrases instead of having to replay the entire audio.There's other issues.The book is great but falls behind without the use of the app.The also didn't have Android users in mind; we have the BACK button so it automatically exits the game when pressed

This is a weird app. Sometimes the audio doesn't even play. I have to go back and forward multiple times for it to work. Idk you could probably do fine without the app and just use the book. I'll give it a chance and keep using it for now

The app works fine with my android phone, the audio controls work fine, and 8ts realky easy to use. It helps to be able to recird my own voice to hear if I'm even close to pronouncing the words right.Its similar to Duolingo in that way, but the grammar in the book is better than Duolingo. Overall its pretty good so far

No audio on Galaxy S9 android. Developer guidance is weak. Even they dont know how to fix and tell you it's your phone settings. stick with the proven methods like an actual class or pay for Rosetta If your serious about learning. Duo Lingo is an option that actually works. Too bad. I love this concept but the lack of experience and customer support is disheartening. I'll be returning my book.

As other reviews have noted, the audio does not work which essentially makes this app pointless. Yes, I have tried checking the app permissions are set correctly, the app simply does not work. Very poor and the app clearly underwent very little testing or development.

It's still trying to download audio even half an hour later and on full wifi. The audio it has downloaded doesn't actually play on my samsung s9, which is shocking since this is still a current gen phone. To be honest, the book itself is decent so grab that, plug any phrases you aren't sure about into google translate and get that to speak them.

Not sure I would have purchased this app and book if I had known it was Egyption Arabic, which is 1 of 4 dialects. I would have thought that this would have been MSA (Modern Standard Aribic), since this is what is taught in schools and typically understood by all. There are bugs and some things that could be improved. Also, can't seem to load more than one language at a time. To bad I bought French and Spanish books too.

Honestly Disappointed and annoyed.. the audio does not work. An audio app without audio, that's just ridiculous. This is not an issue with my phone as I have tried it on 2 different phones. Please fix this, no use having this book without this app.

Useful but audio doesn't work as advertised, can not play individual parts or sections without exiting and re-entering. Otherwise seems to be an accessible way into a new language. NB no assistance on a different writing style

Regret my purchase of the book purely because the app is probably the worst I have ever used!! Not user friendly in any way, no repetition (which BTW is needed when learning a language) and the cherry on that already terrible cake is the audio doesn't work even with the work arounds given previously. Wish I could give zero stars!! Very very disappointing DK publishing. This seems to be a money making exercise as you obviously haven't used a good app developer!!!

Was bought the japanese version for Christmas as im travelling Japan later this year but this audio app is terrible. When going through the intro the app will read aloud some basic words to help you understand the pronunciation however its lags and skips certain words and wont allow me to replay them. Waste of money so far.

Hi to the Developers of this app. Now, I do no ot want to sound negative or speak ill of the hardwork you place into the app. I am just leaving feedback because others may be in the same boat as I am with your app. The audio lessons does not work. Are you able to assist?

Appauling! As many others have said, it does not recognize the QR code and I found all the other problems mentioned by other reviewers - won't record, won't replay, etc. As a professional software developer for many years, it looks to me like this app was written by someone's son/daughter who is still in high school. Totally unprofessional, clearly no proper testing regime. DK has a good reputation as a book publisher, but clearly has no idea how to develop software. Get professional help!
