This app has an ability of playback contents. But it isn't powerful.In the settings, you can choose to play with this app or to throw Intent to play in another app.
App playback ability simply uses the codec of your device, so what kind of content that can be played depends on your device.For example, in the case of video, almost device can play the Android-standard formats such as H.264 / VP8 / VP9, and some device seem to be able to play MPEG1 / MPEG2 / WMV / DivX etc..
This can playback, movie, photo and music. But it isn't main function.Feature of this app is to display the metadata.You can see the metadata of the recorded content in the recorder.This can recognize the ARIB extension tags, and can display it.URL string that is included in the program information, act as a link.

It's a great app. I only want two more features and then it will be great, double tap on each side to skip forward or go back and the most important thing the ability to"zoom" in. Some movies are actually in 16:9 with black bars on to and bottom so imagine how that looks on an ultrawide screen, it's just a small rectangle with black bars all around it. You have the option to select a different player it's just that it would be nice to have everything in one app.
This app would be perfect if it could show thumbnails from my Serviio server running on Synology. Is this app WAS able to show thumbnails for my movies I would EASILY drop Mediahouse since it's no longer supported here but until this app can, I'm staying with Mediahouse. ##DEVS## Allow this app to show thumbnails for videos on server PLEASE!!!! ## THIS IS ALMOST PERFECT
First app, after trying about 6 and reading about more, that actually did what I needed...to play back videos from my PVR's. Once I worked it out, it works beautifully...though I did have to disable default video playback by the app, but it gave me the other options on my phone for playback and worked great.
Very nice, the only issue I have is I would like to select from within the app which video player to use since my preferred player (mpv) doesn't show up when selecting external player.
Please develop this further. It would make a great controller app as it's so fast!. Adding play que, play list creation, bit rate and file type playing plus ability to stream to one or multiple devices/rooms. I've uninstalled for now but if you decide to progress with this i will install
Need some improvement, should be possible to browse no just the DLNA servers but the host for media, this feature is the one I missed the most. I like the interface's design, please keep it.
This is great app. But unfortunately it shows incompatible in play store with my android TV Pie os (MI TV 4A Pro). This tv has inbuilt chrome cast. I have installed through apk but not showing the app in app drawer. Developer kindly look on this matter.
Works beautifully. If your server is on the wired, you'll need to read a little igmp to make it work. I had to make some config changes in my router, switch and AP.
Great app. But I miss a 'Random mix' button when playing music. Also it woud be nice if the app resumed to last played media when restarted.
Working as expected. Although slow to open on large mkv files but overall it's a great app. Plus points, no ads :D
Nice simple design that plays my library without issue. I have multiple hosting servers and this allows me to easily pick which one and view it local or cast it.
Sometimes randomly interrupts playback while scrolling thru the all songs list, but there's no better app in the app store apparently so 5*
More stable than VLC on my phone. Simple and unobtrusive. I wish there were a way to shuffle songs and to enqueue songs to be played next.
needs default remote control like ones that come with andriod box or firestick 4k. it also needs firestick 4gen 4k support. ones you make update for this i give 5 starts.

Doesn't discover other DLNA Servers other than Windows Media Server. Can't even manually add one.
Streams music from a Kodi server but won't go on to the next song if the screen is off. Samsung tablet.

since last update, no longer recognizes my minidlna server. older version of app still working on my other devices.
The ideea and the simplicity are good but it doesnt work at all on my Samsung s10. Nothing detected.
Plex media server. And this connects to stream local network. Exacrly what i wanted it to do
