Not possible to set up the notification on every transaction. The app is very basic...
The app is excellent and has a great design aesthetic, I really like it! A few improvements that would make it better. See the amount of "round ups" since your last pay day (lønn), in addition to the last 30 days, or by month etc. I can see payments that are planned to go out and what I have left. But this doesn't take into account things like recurring payments for Amazon prime, netflix, others which would be super useful.
The updated app just doesn't work. It's chock full of bugs. The fingerprint scanner doesn't always work, half the time it thinks I'm exiting the app instead, loading times are too long, viewing all my accounts crashes the app, and a number of other minor annoyances. The old app was well overdue an update but as it is now I'd rather go back to something that works. Edit: the widget is a security/privacy threat. Fingerprint access to the app means nothing when there's unsolicited access to widget.
The current version of the app has a very poor user experience, it is very unresponsive. It also has other UX issues. It takes on average 3 seconds to navigate between areas/pages the app, yes even the "back" arrow is slow. (3 seconds). "Me" -> "Home" (3.5s) "Me" -> "Me/Accounts" (3.5s) In addition, when loading the "Me/Accounts" page of the app, it takes a another 3 seconds to be able to scroll down to see your other accounts. Is this a separate query because you've used paginated data or something? I've noticed the "material" animation on the button always finishes before navigation happens, I hope the app is not waiting for animations to finish before issuing queries? I say this because it happens even for pages that do not have to load data, like "Me" -> "Me/Insurance" The back arrow does not have any activation animation, together with the unresponsiveness it's hard to know if you've managed to tap it or not. The transaction list and transaction detail view: Most transaction comments are truncated, tapping on it to go into the detail view does not help because it is not visible. That's all that I can fit in this review.
This is a change to my previous one star review. Was about to send through a complaint as it had appeared the app had caused my phone to go into an infinite boot loop that even a factory reset would not sort out, but DNB checked with the developers and provided proof there was an issue with the latest Android version for Samsung Note 4 phones. It might have been the case that the DNB app just happened to be the trigger to set off the problem I had which could have happened at another time with a different app, anyway. So while I have changed to 5 stars, it is for the great customer service as Bjarne and others at DNB definitely try to treat their customers as well as possible and keep them properly informed. Apologies for not having considered that it was more a problem of my particular version of android, as the problems occurred even when the app was removed from the phone. Thanks for taking the time to look into this for me on a deeper level.
The few last updates are horrible. I have to log in even if I don't do any active operation. Application logs me out randomly. Loading times are much slower, navigation is awfully slow even on a powerful phone and fast connection. Spending button is greyed out for no obvious reason. Most of the buttons are just web links. DNB, if you make a massive campaign promoting something as small as an app update (who on earth cares?), at least test it first, because this is embarrassing.
Everything is great with the app so far. I am incredibly pissed tho that the card I've been waiting for has been PERMANENTLY BLOCKED without being notified the day I managed to finally get it. 🤬
Can't log in because the app doesn't allow Swedish phone number or social security number. That should be corrected if you guys are giving out loans in Sweden which you are.
fingerprint login doesn't work. in the previous version it was easy to see transactions this time you should pass 2 levels of login. also if you have more than one account it doesn't show up on the main page under accounts accordion. edit: after reinstalling, both fingerprint login and multiple accounts view worked.
A good overall app, simple and understandable UI, does what I expect from a mobile bank app. An improvement would be if I could use either my iris recognition or fingerprint while both are enabled. On my Note 8, it only allows for iris if it's enabled, this doesn't work that well with sunglasses during the summer.
Having to log in to do absolutely anything is bad enough, even just the currency converter(!), but now you've managed to mess it up even worse! You had a functioning Currency Converter in the old app, so why the hell would you throw that out completely and have a link to your website instead?! And you STILL have the single most massive problem with the app. ANY transfer between my OWN ACCOUNTS are treated as a transaction both in app and online mobile bank, I have to WAIT until noon for it!
They had. agreat app. Now it is a total disaster. Slow, less functional amd constantly asking to log in. (Answer to answer) I hate to have a widget to check my balance (friends can see it while I swipe) and I hat tonot have a easy balance in and out for the last 30 days. Furthermore, the previous app was not crashing. You guys need some serious testing before to release somethin of such poor quality.
More or less fine, that you have to explain some of the controls in the app to use it. That is a negative experience, but at least its explained in tips. Also hope they can release digital cards (VCC or VVC) and support for that, using generated one time cards or similar for online purchases.
Easy to use. Paying bills has never been easy. Just take a picture of bill and approve the payment! Great experience! But the statistics regarding my expending habits is not quite correct. I frequently correct category but system still doesn't recognize other similar spending.
Every time the app starts it jumps past the point where I use my fingerprint and goes into the main menu. But since I haven't logged in it shows an error. I then have to stop the app and open it again. First then do I get to use my fingerprint to log in. other than that, the app is overall quite slow.
There is lot of things missing. For example I would like notification when some money arrive/leave the account.
It's far from perfect, but it's the level of basic functionalities it's definitely much better then the webpage. Big size in memory. Still missing most of the abilities of the web. Those are only a few of the issues that app have.
been trying for a month to log in, no matter which log in option i choose it says there was an error. called dnb and they said to fix it just restart your phone. Still didn't work. I will note that it did work fine when I first got it. i think the latest update has broken it. Got it fixed now after an e-mail from DNB, problem with cookies. Thanks 👍
Couldn't fine a developer contact info: 2 out of 5 based on the android remote experience, at first i got a blank screen when I launches DNB app, due to security thats good! but I notice that I was still able to click around and log in DNB because the key pas on the "Mobil bank ID" wasn't randomized. This issue can be solved by randomizing the keypad on the "sim tool" and in the DNB app (where tou type the number) The DNB app shouldn't work if you're casting the screen (or show a warning)
It is ok for basic operations but not sure why it is missing some functionality of the webportal. F.eks for email box I need to go to webportal but also other features. I would align the menus better with webportal, but actually often the structure is better in the app. 3 stars only because of big potential, use it quite often.
I primarily used the old app to do a quick account balance check. Having to log in virtually every time defeats the purpose of having an app in the first place, and I might as well log in through the browser. Also, it seems a bit silly to enter the phone number of the phone from which I am using the app every time I log in with mobile bankID.
After change in SSN, many features are disabled in current version of App. I cannot make payments, cannot see future balance, have less number of setting options. Edit 1: The app has improved a lot and is very stable now. User Interface is very simple and features are easily accessible.
Simple Interface and Easy to Use. The app was very cumbersome to use earlier where if you wanted to make any transaction you will be sent to the browser, diluting the whole purpose of the app. The new update has put the app on the level of other better banking apps (like ING in NL). Easy sign up for first time and login later. Much needed update. update: fingerprint login has stopped working.
Statment view jumps all over the place . Trying to view recent transactions and every time I scroll (seemingly in either direction) it jumps further back in time. I'm going to have to log on to web app. Surely this is a bug that needs attention?
I really wish it would have the option for you to see you balance without having to log in, as the previous version. Otherwise, it's no different than accesing in browser. I'm sure many used it primarily for that purpose, like me. I personally wish I could revert to the old me.
Refuses to run on my rooted phone running Android 9 with Magisk and Magisk hide enabled for the app. How am I supposed to trust these people with my money when their approach to security is so idiotic and backwards you'd think they have no technical experience at all, let alone knowledge about security. Considering changing my bank if this cannot be resolved. Yay for your big new rewrite of the app, but what good is it if it's so riddled with anti-features it can't even do what the old one did.
Hi! The app has become better to use, but I wish there was a way to change the language in the app. I prefer to have my system language set to English, but I am not too familiar with the banking terms in the translated app, and so I spend a lot på time gong through menus and figuring out what the corresponding terms would be on the Norwegian web page. Cheers!
