DnDify - RPG Music

I really like this app it helps a lot and is more organized than Spotify (despite having to link up to specific playlists to work) the only reason I don't see myself sticking with it is because there is no option to shuffle playlists... I don't want to hear the same song every time I press the button.. other than that.. this is bursting with potential! Good one to keep an eye on

I have always had trouble trying to find the right music for dnd sessions, so I just went without it. (would not recommend) but this app has made it so much easier! it's not absolutely perfect, but its amazing Edit: I dont know how hard it would be but, maybe there could be a feature that allows fade ins and outs of the music. as as to not have this abrupt stop and start

I'm pretty impressed with this and will probably get the ad free version if a few tweaks are made. In particular, it'd be great to be able to choose individual songs from playlists for those very specific moments. Also, shuffling doesn't seem to work properly for youtube playlists, which along with the first issue makes it hard to keep the music varied.

Almost everything about this app is fantastic. Being able to easily switch between fights of varying difficulty to regular ambient music is great. Unfortunately, what makes this app less than desirable isn't even the developer's fault. The ads on Spotify are ridiculously long. I don't mind an ad here and there, but it's fairly common to get an ad 2+ minutes long. If you have Spotify premium, then great! I would love to see a YouTube Music version eventually.

Absolutely love this app. Until now I'd simply be using playlists but the design and layout of this app just makes it so much easier to find the exact thing you want. One update I would love to see in the future is the ability to play an ambience and atmosphere together, for example, be able to play tavern ambience with some tavern music playing over the top of it.

Exactly what I was looking for! Multiple songs keeps the experience fresh! :D The variance of moods, atmosphere and even enemy type is awesome and they keep adding on more. Just make sure to have a Spotify subscription, so ads don't pop up in between songs. Very immersion breaking. :( Other than that, this is the best app for a wide variety in background ambiance!

Fantastic! It was nice to hear back when they updated. There are options to bypass Spotify if necessary, but I actually got logged in this time! I usually try to have ambient sounds with my DnD sessions, using several different methods. Yet having everything catagorized cuts out so much unnecessary search for just the right song of the moment. Really, just the easiest solution for a wide array of BGMs at your fingertips.

Oh. My. God. This was cool before but with the update, the ability to not only use spotify but youtube as well, and the ability to make your own playlists its become the best! Amazing! Thanks for making this even better! Also, i know thats not really the app, but still..the music is really effing beautiful. I use the playlists to study as well, because they're just perfect. No vocals and every mood i might need to help me concentrate, give me energy or relax me is there!

Works very well for me, using Spotify, exactly what I was looking for. Essentially it provides an easy way to switch between playlists. By default it's setup with all of Brian Davis' excellent playlists. Has a combat button to quickly start combat audio. Adding playlists is easy too. One suggestion is to allow Youtube Premium members the same control as Spotify, since it allows background play and has no ads. However that does require YouTube having some kind of third party support. 10/10

The ads are not too bad, but the music is fantastic! After trying a few this is definitely the app I will be using from here on for my dnd games. My only gripe is that it seems unfinished. Some categories could do with having more playlists such as the situation, creatures and combat tabs, and also a few more under atmosphere.

This app does everything I've wanted in a sound board for D&D. This streamlines having to scroll through multiple folders and playlists on Spotify to just simple tabs, AND it already comes with a lot of preloaded playlists that are organized in a way that makes sense. I immediately paid to remove the ads, even though they were non intrusive, to directly support the creator of this wonderful app.

Looking for an app that can run campaign music seamlessly and effectively has been such a struggle but this app NAILS IT. Competent customizable and with new updates and features coming all the time. If you're on the fence TRY IT. It's user friendly, the creators are responsive, it's easy to set up and use during your session, and the Playlists could not be more ON POINT.

It seems like a simple thing but curating playlists, and doing it well, is incredibly time consuming. I'd have paid just for that. The great app that categorizes then neatly is a great bonus! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to add some dramatic flair or background ambiance to their tabletop RPG experience!

Love the ease of use and simplicity. This app allows for quick transitions for a combat scenario straight to a dramatic situation for player backstory or ambient for effect it's made the sound part of my D&D game much easier and more intuitive. 5* rating if we can get it so that the ambient music can be played on top of background music probably difficult to do though but it's nice to have storm sounds while also having faint music playing. Either way great app for all DnD players and DMs!

kept saying I need to authorize in spotify but would never let me. will change review if this is fixed. uninstalled and reinstalled. spotify login loop still there. 3-23-19: after developer response. downloaded again and loop still there. not sure what changed, but was finally able to get it to sync to spotify and it much nicer! very nice when it works!

This app is truely wonderful. My world as a DM would not come to life as much without the music and how easily it is presented using this app. I'm so glad that after the last update I am able to now add my critical role Playlist from spotify as I could not before. Keep up the good work! And it is completely worth paying for the ads to be removed to support this app getting better and better. The only thing missing now is sounds of weather and creatures to overlay ontop of the music.

Perfect for any DM. So Intuitive! And I love the "Battle" button so I don't have to go and find some epic soundtrack to play for every fight. You can tell these guys know what goes down for a DM while running a session. Music is a must for our campaigns and this is my new best tool. Try it out.

its a very great app. the fact that you can basically ditch the playlists there and create your own is fantastic. only thing is, i have made many playlists from youtube now, and when i play from one, it plays songs from other playlists, makes it weird when a sad moment occurs and battlefield drums from spartacus start playing lol idk if its me or the app. other than that issue, the app is wonderful

Works well and has a lot of choices. The only issues I have with it are that some of the songs don't match the mood they play for (blacksmith plays love/pop songs), and you can't log into YouTube through it, so you can't have it play in the background even if you have YouTube premium.

Had some problems connecting the app to my Spotify, but the Devs were quick to help me fix it. I haven't used the app extensively, but it looks really good at a first glance. They have a plethora of music for different scenarios that might come up in your campaigns, and even music for some specific enemies.

First time user. Im looking for mood music, right away. Theres no "" psyched, adventurous excitement" category....Trying "inspiring." WISH ME LUCK!!! EDIT: SO FAR, SO GOOD!!! Tentatively 3* EDIT2: I was offered 30 minutes of ad-free, by tapping to watch an ad, but there was nothing to tap. Please fix this. First impressions are EVERYTHING, and now, mine are mixed. 😐

This app is great, easy to use and comes with good preset playlists and makes it easy to age your own. Some things I wish it had would be music fading in and out when I change lists and the ability to go between the different battle lists without a non-combat list playing in between.
