Error and search redirects are a thing of the past. Get actual errors and use the search engine you decide to use, not your isp's sketchy ad pages. For best results find the fastest DNS servers using Steve Gibson's free DNS Benchmark on PC.
UI is pretty outdated, but it is effective, lighter (38kb only),simple and well working ,need root
This freed me from my carrier's inane automagical error page DNS. Works perfectly on both my Nexus 4 and 7.
this is the best dns changer for android, even better than set-dns. i wish you would add notification function in statbar when the dns is changed
See for yourself. The lump of uselessness simply doesn't let me set my dns to anything I want
This app changes dns but didn't actually change the ISP dns, this app just set dns not act as dns crypt.
Will not stop notifying me and I've had to seemingly reconfigure it a few too many times.
I presume because it didn't reset the interface after applying the new dns setting.
The so seems promising and looks simple but when you want to change it does not do a single thing.
Hassle free to use OpenDNS.. For those who use kitkat why rate this app pretty badly when this doesn't claim to work on these devices.
Not working for me when I try to enter custom DNS only let's me enter 5 characters then curser jumps back to the beginning
Works great, resolved issues with DNS on my G2X perfectly, has plenty of DNS options (Level3 ftw). Only con is it doesn't turn my phone into an HTC One X ;)
It used to work fine in my old phone. This time it dues but apply automatically upon enabling mobile data. Any fix? I'd hate to go back to the app to apply dns every time. Ps: I have tried all the settings
I use to use it but now it's useless.
I used to live this app, but it just doesn't seem to set the dns for me anymore which is the only thing this app is supposed to do.
Changes the DNS settings exactly like it's supposed to do. On my Verizon Droid Pro, MMS won't work if this app changes the DNS settings automatically for 3G. I just use it for WIFI.
The UI is a little bit shifty, and the settings don't always save (meaning they often go back to default) but the app does what it's meant to.
It's really easy to use and changes DNS as told. Unfortunately, won't automatically change my DNS when I connect to wifi although I have it enabled
Used the open dns family filter and tested it and it loaded explicit sites.
It's very easy to use and it helps me with dns problem.
All I need is an app to set OpenDNS for me. That's what this one does. Always and without any problems.
Great for ipv4, have been using it for some time. Unfortunately, it does not work with ipv6 dns.
My 3g dns is still the same after 2 days.
Not working for 3G and LTE. Always auto revert back to telco dns
Tried several times to enter in a custom dns but the app would simply not let edit what was in the box. If I backspace, it jumps to the beginning. If I try to just type, it won't overwrite what's in there.
It does not do what it claims to do, at least not for the Alcatel One Touch Fierce XL.
Rooted HTC One. Just keeps asking for superuser over and over.
4.1.2 still and im able to skip sprin and thier search hijacking alternatives. Thx dev.
Really helps me get to places that would otherwise be inaccessible.. Skiddie tip #1 NEVER allow the ISP to resolve their own dns.
