This app works like a charm when it comes to DNS issues. It works flawlessly with any DNS Server and it has helped me a lot to manage my own domain. Tested it with BindDNS and Microsoft DNS Server on Server 2012R2. Only a nice UI is lacking ..
There are plenty of DNS lookup apps, but this one is the cleanest and easiest that I have found. I especially appreciate the ability to change nameservers - very important for troubleshooting!
Fix and I may purchase the ad-free version unless I find a functioning app first.
Great app for those network engineers on the move. Would get an extra star if it supported SPF records (I know it already does TXT) and reverse lookups from IP
UI is a little clunky, but works alright. Best whois app I've tried so far, but what I've tried so far was pathetic so no real competition. Having said that it gets the job done.
Achieves the app ideal by being actually easier than the traditional apps. Select a server if you want, select a record type, select a name, learn the truth. I would like a recurse control, and results copy or a mor general share (mail will do, though) but this app answers most questions.
Connections time out regardless of requested URL. Phone has network connectivity. Tested on motox second gen.
Able to manually specify name server, and supports all types of DNS records. Great tool!
3* bcoz there is no option to check Nslookup on startup for selected few domains ... Other than that superb and works as it should
Too mediocre for such a big name. Provided DNS information is almost useless.
Works well but needs additional record types such as RRSIG etc. A trace option would be good too.
Would be awesome with an expansion to support more tools like ping and tracert
Tool works great, but there don't seem to be any settings for the app. So I can't edit the Default server or edit/delete ones I've added myself.
Does what it says with no BS ads or annoying messages to upgrade.
Add new server 8.8.8.8 it is public Google DNS server and it works.
No worries, It has a good interface and does the job well. Good program.
Just what you need when you need that DNS info on the go. Bonus points for not requesting bullshit permissions and for making ads optional! I'm keeping them on just because of that.
Easy access over 3G/4G to see what public servers are returning when troubleshooting enterprise networks.
Good to support different name server. Better if lookup history can be kept.
Only one I found out of several that worked how I imagined a dns lookup tool should
Used to be a great app. Broken on my note 2 now
Doesn't work. Timed out no matter the host to lookup.
Also remembers history and let's you turn ads off. Thx!
Doesn't work - connection just times out
The add server function doesn't work.
Would pay for a premium version to honour development.
Request always times out.
Does not used supplied servers.
Works great for DNS lookups of common record types and whois lookups. One small inconvenience though: if I use non-default name server, after looking up whois-info the chosen NS switches back to Default. UPD Yes, and I was using custom NS because the Default was not working, but I thought my current network had problems
