DOD Dashcam

Since the last update of the DOD Dashcam app, I can not go into wireless mode. Even though I have a very strong signal, the app refuses to connect to the DOD Dashcam. Please DOD, fix this frigging app!

On top of the already mentioned problems my antivirus app reported Android/DataCollector.C. i.e. the DOD app collects private personal data. Unacceptable. We paid big money for the device.

Downloading videos is slow but it's probably not the app issue. Otherwise everything works.

Errors nearly everytime when attempting to connect to camera.

Doesnt work in 2019, keeps crashing and wont stay open :(

app stopped working when I updated to note 9. Developers don't respond.

Useless App, you can't download any image unless connected to camera with its Wifi

RC500s camera is good but the App is not very good. I wouldn't buy a DOD again.

My cam is RC500s 2ch. Video is great but I'm not happy with the app.

Worst app I ever used, avoid it if you can

Used to work but is incompatible with Android 8+. Developer does not maintain this app AT ALL. If you're going to sell dash cams with no screen you should at least provide a usable app. Even when it did work it was pretty awful. Its a shame because the camera itself is very good. However the neglect of this app, which is a necessity to getting the most from the product is unacceptable. Will never buy a DOD product again!

Avoid. Used with rc500s which was returned as quality was much lower than promised. Parking detection is started from the noise generated by the camera and cannot be deactivated if hardwired to car. Kph can't be changed to mph. App is very clunky.

Well this app even though does support mph. Does not work on the dod rc500. Even though i left a support request dod tech support could not even be bothered to reply.

Freezes up on my cam and wifi drops out reguarly .

Very bad out of the box experience. Obvious poor Chinese to English translations, saving settings don't work unless sdcard is out of the camera or completely formatted, non intuitive layout, cannot rearrange camera feed windows. The camera is set and forget, but I'd hate to visit the software for when the time arises.

formatted the card an updated firmware but still having problems. Speed cam warning keeps turning itself back on, it tells me there is a cam every time I go past a school! I guess its a zone with reduced speed. I can't see an an option to turn off GPS. Etc.

The cameras work fine without the app, but the system is sold and priced to compete with others that do work with their companion app via wifi. Where is the QC for this thing? I'll be returning this in the next week if no fixes come.

Needs some big improvements. Often freezes up and doesn't have the ability to 'lock' files from the app to prevent them being reordered over. Has so much more potential.
