Does not Commute

A strategic driving game from the award-winning maker’s of Smash Hit. Does not Commute is a temporal paradox in which you have no one to blame but yourself. What starts out as a relaxing commute in a small town of the 1970's quickly devolves into traffic chaos with hot dog trucks, sports cars, school buses and dozens of other vehicles. You drive them all. Plan ahead. Don't be late.
In this small town, discover the characters and their secrets – what world-changing experiment is inventive dentist Dr Charles Schneider hiding? Will Mr Baker quit his job in advertising? What is that strange mask on Mrs Griffin's face? Will Mr Mayfield’s peculiar obsession with Yorkshire Terriers take over his life?

Does Not Commute is playable at no cost and free from ads. An optional premium upgrade is available through a one-time in-app purchase that will enable the ability to continue from checkpoints.

great game, 9.5/10. It's original, fun, has good gameplay and graphics and a surprisingly funny story. Although it's a bit challenging (especially if you're not willing to put in some time to use practice mode), so it could be a bit annoying for some, and although I don't mind, I can see some people being annoyed by the useless checkpoints on the free version.

The game itself is fun, however in my experience so far it crashes frequently. I don't mind the crashes that much on their own, what really grinds my gears is that your progress on the level doesn't get saved, and you have to start over each time. I'll get 90% through a level and it crashes and I have to start over. That's like 20 mins down the drain and often it happens two or three times in a row. My phone is an s21 so I don't think the hardware is the issue. Please patch, if you can 🙏

An indescribably excellent experience! A quirky storyline, captivating gameplay, and stunning graphics! After playing the developer's other game, "Pin Out," I had to try this one as well. As usual, I was not disappointed! Unusual for a mobile game, the soundtrack for "Does Not Commute" absolutely blew me away! I rushed to buy the entire album of digital music, then upgraded to Pro right away, so that I could save my progress through the game. No regrets!

Really good game! All that I wish you could add is to instead of having to pay for premium to continue your run, maybe you could watch an ad for another 10 seconds or something, because when I spend 10-15 minutes on it, just to inevitably lose and have to start over, it is very saddening and annoying. That is all I want from this game. Without the ad thing, 10/10, would definitely recommend.

As with Smash Hit and PinOut, this game plays, sounds, and looks great. Unfortunately, also as with those other games, Does Not Commute is almost unplayable without paying, as you have to pay to save your progress, which makes even less sense with this game because, unlike the other games, this is a problem solving game, meaning that you can't get back to where you left off much faster or easier by "getting good".

Overall Very, Very, Very good game. It has very graphics, very good cars, and even boats and flying futuristic cars bro. But there are some negatives like there very big glitches, and the touch won't work properly. But they have added every thing of old classic cars, old style of old cities and old classic songs which I like very much. So I am going to give five 🌟 Star's.

Great game, addictive, definitely recommend for people who are looking for a driving action game. Got the premium version where it lets you pick a stage you want to play instead of doing the entire game, and thats really cool. I just wish some cars were a bit slower and less drifty kinda like the taxi and the sports car, but not a big deal, still fun and worth five stars.

It's a cool "racing\driving" game for people who probably don't like regular or "real racing" games. It deserves credit for it's originality and quirky style. It seems to be well made and is not add heavy. It does seem a little limited in depth and options so I can't give it 5 stars. It's not really "my style" of game, but was still cool enough to earn 4 stars. ....to me that says a lot. It is cool to see how your driving skills, paths, decisions end up effecting the game & story.

Good game. Quite fun to not try to run into your past selves. No Ads! Still playable--checkpoints available through a one-time purchase. The pretense and idea behind this game is this: Racing against the clock to go from point A to point B, while competing with your previous drives. You also get power-ups and stuff.

It is a great game other than it occasionally crashes my ENTIRE phone. I have an s8+ and would definitely rate it 5 stars if this were fixed. I have also noticed that there is one big where your car continuously turns even if the button is not pressed. If you die/rewind the bug continues, only if you "complete" the car will it stop turning continuously.

What makes this game appealing to me is that you have to play it very strategic. For example, If you drive recklessly at the beginning of a level then the npc's in the next rounds will drive recklessly to, what makes the game harder. Unfortunately you are almost forsed to pay money for this game because you can only load checkpoints if you pay the €3,30. I really like the game and I think it is an good alternative for just trowing a bunch of advertisements at the player. So I'm okay with that

I liked this game. Except for the fact that you have to pay to return to the checkpoint, on the contrary, you only can go from the begining. Ok, ok. The programmers, and all the people behind the develope of this game wants their pay. But I think that, if I pay for this game, I just will used twice or, just in case, four times. Because, It's repetitive when you play again, and again, and again the same level, without more variation than the player give it.

Fun but frustrating. Steering with a touchscreen is difficult enough, with the directions reversed (when going down) it's even worse. And then the time limits kill any fun. Hilarious comedy and nice graphics, and bonus points for not being pay to win, but this concept isn't fun so I don't feel like playing, much less paying for the premium. Mediocre needs to make their games easier 😕

This game takes a simple concept and ramps up the difficulty pretty quickly. Every route you take with your cars affects everything that comes after. It's an original and quite ingenious game mechanic. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is that, at 7 levels, the game is quite short.

This is a really great game, at first I didn't like it that much, mostly because of Premium to get checkpoints, and sometimes challenging controls, but after a while I realized you can actually complete all of the stages without buying Premium, which is great, and got used to the controls, which make it absolutely delightful. Whatever awards this game got , it definitely deserves it.

Love the game. Creative, fun, great soundtrack. Reading so many comments whining about paying. Good games don't need to be free to play. It's worth it. Honestly, the only thing I would change is that you should get more bonus time after making a checkpoint. I should never have to repeat levels over and over to bank a few extra seconds.

It's a great game don't get me wrong, but it somehow totally crashed a galaxy s8+, quite often to the point where I'm hesitant to ever play it. Secondly, it's nice to not have ads in a "free to play" game, but I'd much rather have those than a system where you have to start from level one unless you pay 3 bucks for a pro version. Gameplay is amazing concept, the look of it is fantastic, the controls are just as frustrating and addictive as I'd hope for, but the devs got greedy and ruined it.

Enjoyable for every reason but the Premium Save requirment. I was very happy with the game - cool concept, easy controls, simple and fun boosts, funny/cool/interesting/changing stories fore each vehicle - UNTIL I figured out you HAVE to BUY PREMIUM just to SAVE. Definitely do NOT like this feature. I was excited to sit down for a few minutes, enjoy the game, and start it back up at later times. However, since I have to start from the very beginning every time I reopen the app, I uninstalled it.

actually couldn't stop laughing at a) my bad driving, b) luck in avoiding crashing into horrendously driven cars, c) going around in circles in water, and d) getting rammed into by other cars and getting thrown off way course 😂😂 pure hilarity, if you have patience of course. graphics are amazing, and somehow the music makes it funnier. each car has that certain story which makes things interesting, but then it gets bland after a while because you need to pay premium 😅 10/10 recommend

This is one of the greatest mobile games ever made. But four stars because there is a game breaking bug. Sometimes when restarting a level by going to the menu and back, you keep turning left forever. This is common and the only solution is to close the game. Devs, please fix this.

Leo. A. Apr 24, 2022

I would give this game a 4 or 5 because it is a great game but if you want to save checkpoints you have to buy "premium edition" I'd rather they just show me ads because its really annoying when you get really far and then you just have to go back three levels.

Jak. A. Dec 30, 2018

It's entertaining as far as gameplay is concerned. However, the fact that you must pay to have any sort of checkpoint is bs. An average run takes 5-15 min. and for a mobile game that offers nothing to save your progress, it consumes too much time and becomes extremely boring to replay.

Kie. M. Jun 20, 2020

It's an great game my only problem is that you have to pay to use checkpoints. I understand that they have to make money somehow, but maybe make an option where we could watch an ad to use a checkpoint? Other than that, amazing game. Easy to play and fun little stories for each character.
