Dog Scanner - #1 Dog Breed Identification

free version just isn't getting close to our breeds of Mutt's... Initial set up after instalatiin, was the ONLY Time that I was able to adjust the scanner's Accuracy vs. Speed. I thought DEFAULT should be tested first, before adjusting because I don't know if pets health can be adversly effected, how efficient or accurate or IF the program actually works, but (no one mentions Safety of this product) Default Lwvel can not identify our pets and asks if I want to SUGGEST they become a New Breed!

This dog scanner seems to work pretty well. I don't know how precise it is but, it seems to give me pretty similar results everytime that I try using it on my dog. Only thing is when I use it on people to see what results it gives it doesn't recognize the person as a person, instead it thinks they're a dog. hahaha so I do question how accurate the results are that it gives me for my dog...???

Depends how you take the picture or video. Every video and picture chooses a different dog, sometimes it has the same breeds, other times its a completely different breed, depending on the photo. If you really want or need to know..... I would just pay for a DNA test. Be good :)

This scanner is amazing. It nails it! I have a purebred dog, that doesn't look much like the breed standard and it still was totally accurate. It also helped me identify the cute white fluffy rescue that looks like a poodle but isn't. I love it!

Great app but here are some things I'd like to say. I took a pic of my dog once showed the breeds but weren't accurate to me it said she was part pumi or whatever the second time kinda accurate but can you study more on inbreed dogs also can you pls reply thxxx

Fun and pretty accurate readings based on a photo, or many different photos together to cover all bases. It was right on on my dogs and has a lot of info on specific breeds. I scanned many different photos of my dogs and it gave me the right answer with details on breed, or breeds. Very cool and fun. I was glued for over an hour playing around with this app. I don't think I'll delete it yet.

Not sure to give it 2 or 3 stars. They did well to get 1m downloads so respect for that because it's main functionality which is the scan is average at best. They even openly admit on the app that the top 1 accuracy is 71%. This is a pretty bad result. If you like bells and whistles then this app is for you. If you would like to get proper identification - there are better apps around.

1-27-21 App problems have been fixed. Great job! Update 9/27/20-Developer updated app. When scanning photo(s) from gallery the app no longer works properly but constantly flips back into camera mode. Unfortunate. From 5 to 1 star and deleting app. Will check back periodically to see if it's fixed. 7/31/20-So far, a truly wonderful and innovative app. I'm really enjoying it.

There are other, completely free apps available. I recommend Identify Dog Breeds Pro. It's the same as this app, but it's free & doesn't have ads. Es tut mir schrecklich leid, meine deutschen Liebhaber.

Dog Scanner is an excellent app. Easy to use, works as stated and amazing accuracy. Purebred ID is impressive but identifying mixed breeds so accurately is exceptional and useful. The only disputable or possibly disputable identification Dog Scanner computed out for me went something like.....??ID??, joke, laugh, wife, "dont you dare", Jack Russell terrier??%, Chihuahua??%... "@$$%#^* ", "erase that!!" Definitely her picture in the focal ID circle though, lol Thanks for great app!

Very nice! Even though you dont get the exact answer every single time it does give you similar breeds! I scanned my akbash great pyranese mix that was from my two registered akbash and the other is pyranese, it's not always correct but a lot of fun! I also scanned my pure breed registered border collie and the scanner got the breed right on the nose, 100% border collie so it's a hit or miss

This app is amazing! Not only is it completely free, but it is accurate from only a picture! It correctly identified both my dogs!

very well made. the algorithm is extremely intelligent, its not just a loosely put together app. it even gives PERCENTAGES of how much a dog looks like what breed. im pleased.

ON POINT! I usually don't leave reviews but this app is an exception. But it's pretty accurate, so impressed I purchased a lifetime subscription

Hogwash. I've scanned my dogs multiple times and every time it gives me a different mix of breeds. Misleabeling breeds can cause serious issues.

I got the perfect shot and it correctly identified the dachshund in my dog. It all just depends on the perfect shot (all you have to do is just take a side picture of your dog looking at you helps). It just should lower the analysis time and have a better accuracy when people take pictures of the owners dogs. But I love it even if they didn't do that.

Absolutely awesome and how do you do it? I was very easily able to scan several dogs in our family (must sit still 5 seconds) with the app. The answer is perfect especially for Heinz 57 and somewhat mixed breeds. It gives a breakdown in percentages with sample photos to support their analysis. Suggest you take a FULL profile scan and not facial close up. Highly recommend this app!!!

I love it! I've been waiting to find something like this for years It's pretty spot on. I think it's cool that it can recognize mix breeds. I can't say for sure how accurate it is because my dogs are a mix of at least 2 but probably 3 or 4 different breeds, but the app results agree almost perfectly with our best guesses for both dogs, so i think it's great.

great idea, doesn't work when I input the picture this app itself shows for a Karakatchan dog. The app tells me it is 89% Bucovina shepherd and 7% Tornjak. Likewise it didn't work with my Karakatchan dog

I scanned three dogs that I have DNA for and two are WAY off. It's fun but not accurate at all. This app could get dogs mislabeled and in trouble.

The app is pretty good so far. The only time I can say for a fact it was wrong was when I scanned my rat terrier. She's a runt and sickly, so she looks more like a chihuahua. It scanned her as that, but it's a common mistake, so not one that surprised me. Aside from that, it gave me good insight on what my other dogs might be. Only issue is that the video ads can be intrusive. Went from one every 10min to 3 in a minute.

Could be useful to rescue groups and shelters. Best results when using a full view picture without much else in the photo. Not useful for some mixed breeds. Others have provided good feedback. I've tested some shelter dogs, comparing their guess to the tool suggestion. Many times I've agreed with the app over the shelter guess.

it's not accurate. I think it should allow for more pictures so the app can determine accurately. fun to play with tho.

I've only just downloaded this, but it correctly figured out the breeds of all three of my dogs, even from images where they weren't facing the camera, and figured out that my cat was, in fact, a cat when I tried to trick it. Now, none of those would be hard for a human to figure out, but I am genuinely impressed an app could manage it.

I haven't got to use it alot as yet, but what I have scanned I have been impressed with. Maybe after I have used it more I can raise it to a 5 star rating.

Pretty decent app; just make sure get a clear shot when the dog is not moving. Otherwise, it will say mixed breed.

I'm rating 4 stars because I have 4 pets 3 who I'm not sure what breed they are but 1 I know, I scanned the 3 unknown breed first and wasn't sure if it was true but when I scanned my dog who's breed I knew the app got it right the first time so I tried it again but it's no longer showing her actual breed that she actually has

It's pretty accurate! I have a bluemerle border collie and it said Australian shepherd or bordercollie which is pretty close. Ultimately I really like way better than any other app!!!

I am a visual impaired person and find the app very helpful when people share pictures of their dogs. I then run the pics through the app and I'm informed!
