Potentially a good app but currently not fit for purpose. I have recorded 7 walks to date, of which 4 have only recorded a portion. When I look at the route for those that have recorded in full, it appears the dog has swum a substantial part of the walk although she never goes in water. When I compare with the history on the main activity app, the GPS appears much more accurate. More information on how to use the app would also be useful. I have taken several photos but these seem to be missing.
Really wanted to give this app 4 stars, and maybe it's me not being able to figure it out. The only way I can end a walk is to go to the notification. If there's another notification that takes priority, or I'm on a phone call, I can't access the Dog Walk notification to end the walk. Clicking on END in the app does nothing. If someone has some advice on how to fix this, I'll happily revise my review. Bc everything else is great!!
Works well and does what I was hoping for. For a while it was having issues with switching from KM to Miles but I think they fixed that. It's pretty neat to look at my past walks and see a bunch of little photos of the different paths we've taken. I'm in a big neighborhood and there's many streets we haven't traversed, so I use the app to help keep our walks interesting.
Terrible! I get that this is designed to work with the GPS device and subscription, but if you want to try it out without these don't bother. App said that we walked 0.01 miles in 1hr 41 and the map didn't represent anything like the circular route we took through the woods. Was running Strava at the same time to compare the apps as the GPS devices are expensive, flawless performance from Strava. No GPS device required and photos uploaded easily.
It's a good app would give it a 5 if you're able to edit the pee and poop drops from mistakenly pressing them and also if you can edit the end time for instance if you start a dog walk and forget to stop it go back into the app and edit the end time to accurately reflect the actual walk. And if you can add pictures from your camera roll that would be an awesome instead of having to take live pictures. Would also be great if the notes that are written can also be shared through the shareable link.
Nice app.. Some minor Tweeks would make it even better. It would be nice if you could do the following Encounters / interactions The ability to pause the walk The ability to add walks later - just time and distance Weather - simple inputs such as sunny, rain, hail etc I'm sure if you could add something like this I'd be willing, and so would many others to pay for the app
It's does great during the whole walk until you click the check to save the walk all photos, distance, & walk reports delete. Wish it didn't it would be the best app hand down but unfortunately doesn't save all your walks or photos.
Generous 4, the timer is good to see how long I have been out on a walk but the distanced walked is not near accurate. Walking close to 2.5 miles on my night walk and it says 0.36 miles. If this was fixed it would be a 5 star app all day long. Plenty of other apps on here but this one looked the most reliable, maybe have to try others as a few comments on here are saying the same problem.
This app was terrible. My walks are usually about 3 miles & it would only record a portion of the walk (all in the middle of the city so data coverage shouldn't be an issue). The map would either show a straight line "as the bird flies" or zig zag all over.
Great to know how long you've played with your dog. It would REALLY be HELPFUL if the APP would let you EDIT/REVISE the NOTES that the app gives you the opportunity to write after the walk is over, following the pressing the END button!! I'm sure I'm not the only one who wishes they could add things to the notes, that they forgot to add the 1st time!
