This app was a waste of time to download. I don't know how well it works because before it'll do what you want you have to buy the $600 cordless headphones from dolby the app is meant to control. Only then can you assign other things to Bluetooth. Nowhere in the app description does it say you have to purchase them first. Google should call them out over this.
I have used mine with, and without, and there is a HUGE difference in the sound quality, and yes they do have to be equipped for Dolby to work, your headphones, that is. I won't say it as rudely as the one guy did, not everyone is an "idiot" just because they don't understand electronics!!! Thank you for the awesome app!!
Don't own the headset but love dolby tech... for everyone that's trying to use this, it's clear that you need the dolby dimension headset... like that app is called this for a reason. 2nd and I didn't look nor confirm this but always assume there isn't backwards compatibility with older Bluetooth devices. Taking steps to have a positive outcome than posting a negative one because of the users mistake, doesn't give you the right to post a low rating. End rant
To everyone saying it won't work, that's cause the app controls certain bluetooth products that support dolby dimension. Downloading this app without the product and expecting it to work is like trying to sharpen a pen in a pencil sharpener. So be because of this please don't complain that it dosen't work.
Description of app is very misleading. The info hypes up the app, mentiins option of using and controlling multiple multiple Bluetooth devices. Says nothing about this app being for just for headphones.
Despite having my Bluetooth Headset PAIRED, its unable to find any devices/keeps on scanning. Nothing wrong with my BT headset, Some APP REPAIRS NEEDS TO BE DONE to enable us use the app else this app "STANDS USELESS" for end users like us.
this app can't detect my headphones despite the fact that they are already connected , i mean i don't think this app even needs the whole auto detection thing. if you ever gonna download this app , think again and download something different (unless all you want is a taunting "searching for your device " screen )
I'm with you they don't bother to tell you if it's only for Bluetooth just to get you to download it and keep it maybe I don't use earbuds the way they describe it it doesn't lose your phone speaker that's really deceptive
Before downloading this app I read many reviews, many suggested this won't work without Dolby dimension headphone. I knew it is true but I tried it and it didn't work for me too. When I opened this app it directed me to bluetooth settings, I wonder why bluetooth is needed ! I have no Dolby dimension headphone so I is useless for me.
Please make it compatible with different headphones. Only Dolby can be connected. I loved this featured from the pictures but was disappointed when it was not compatible with my headphones.
Hi Team, I'm facing issue with the application form last 15 days when I updated my Android OS 11. When I try to open application it will be automatically closed. I tried lot of time also try by uninstall the application and re- install but issue not resolved. Is this issue because of updating Android OS 11 ?
This app is not working. It won't open properly just searching for Bluetooth device. What about wired headphones. Something is missing.
Just so no one gets confused this app isn't for any pair of headphones it's for their own headphones (dolby dimensions) maybe to some people this isn't as clear but hopefully this will help people understand that it's not gonna work for any old (or new) pair of headphones
I do not have the headphone, but when i buy a headphone as expensive as the Dolby Dimension, i expect an app specifically for that headphone. So all these people are whining for nothing. THE APP IS ONLY FOR THE DOLBY DIMENSION. Some people just dont get it.
UUUGH!!! I HAVE A VERSION OF THIS ON MY OTHER ANDROID. This is for use w blue tooth. UNINSTALLED! No CHOICE!!! I need to record!! Super frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have (Dolby on) whichis a different Dolby app, now I'm unable to find this! What is going on????!!!! I like this one better! DEVELOPERS PLEASE EXPLAIN?! I'm not happy!!!!
It does only work with bluetooth hedsets. What about wired? Its so annoying. I wanted to use this for sure but couldnt
DO NOT DOWNLOAD UNLESS YOU HAVE DOLBY DIMENTION HEADPHONES. Nowhere in the long description or in the name of the app does it say that this app ONLY works for Dolby Dimention headphones. Was downloading this hoping it would work with my JBLs. Needless to say, I was disappointed to see this deception at work.
I am having Sony RT-40 , having dolby digital, paired in bluetooth, but its not listed in this app. Still its searching for dolby dimension. Can anyone help me to connect
My samsung have dolby as default, but it dont have anything, jusst only some mode of sound or auto, no adjustments anything. I hope that this app can help me more customize my dolby
I'm not sure how well it works with other devices or how easy it is to use, but I can say that the Raycon e25 earbuds do not work with this app.
It's only for some sort of their own product and if you don't have that headphones, move on. 😛

A similar app that can be used for any headphones would be much more useful.
lamest thing i have ever seen, you need the Bluetooth headphones to use this app, could have at least mentioned it in the description instead of waiting our time.
It's only for the headset that Dolby makes, if I had that I bet it would be a great app.
Download when you have dolby dimension bluetooth headphone .... If not ... Then it also won't .... They didn't even say in the discription....
App is unusually well done for a first effort. This is a companion app to the new Dolby Dimension headphones. The app is very well debugged even though it is fairly complicated. It's a must-have to set up the headphones because it's the only way to get the options the way you want. Great effort by the app developers! (The headphones themselves, not as impressive and already returned, but that's a different review.)
