Dollar Admiral makes penny shopping easy without the confusion. With this simple to use app you simply open the app and start scanning.

Dollar Admiral is in constant scanning mode, meaning you do not have to push any buttons, heck you do not even have to look at the screen when you are scanning for penny items.
When a penny item is found a notification chime is played to alert you that you have found a penny item! When item scanned is not a penny the phone/table vibrates. You can now scan an entire isle in minutes instead of hours!
You can now also do Dollar General Couponing inside of Dollar Admiral with the option to automatically clip coupons!
When you first install Dollar Admiral you will need to verify your device using your Dollar General username and password. I gave this app 4 star because I absolutely love how easy it is to scan items. I actually love everything about it. The only thing that made me take a star away is the watch item tool don't work right. Everything I added said 0.00. I can't watch the price when it is already saying the price is 0. Please please fix it. That tool would be a game changer.
The penny list is outdated but the scanner is still worth it... I wish it kept a record of the last 10 things you scanned. I can't tell you how many times it has picked up another barcode for a penny and I can't figure out what it was.
I have never been more angry with an app in my entire life. Every time I go to scan something I get a 20 second ad that I cant skip and when I try to scan anything it acts like my cameras blurry and refuses to pick up the barcode. DONT USE THIS APP. ITS AWFUL.
Never updates. The last date I have a list for is mid-February 2021, and before that November 2020. I was under the impression there was a new list every week, not every six months. I'm so close to uninstalling, but I'm waiting bc I just want it to get better!! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
When trying to scan items very quickly there were several ads that kept popping up and you constantly had to close out before you could scan another item it was very frustrating to use they need to make the app without ads to make scanning items quicker and easier
Too many ads. You can't do anything because ad after ad pops up!! Uninstalling because of this. No point in the app if you ask me unless you like to watch ad videos.
I installed it. Had to set up an account with user name and password ....no problem. It WILL NOT let me login!! I've tried repeatedly and then was locked out for 20 minutes. Waited 2 hours....tried again, still login failed!! What good is it if you can't log in??!! Looking for another option!!!!!
I had no luck after spending hours in DG. The app and info provided there in is thorough and up to par. Its ths DG and layout and similiar in store defencents that make the app useless. Yes, in essence, useless. Thats evalution is based on hours and hours of physically attempting to locate one item aforementiod in penny list/the app, not one, not even one, so far less few items. Utterly useless as the info contained in the app is a powerless aid and tool when physically in a DG department store.
Most useless app ever. I would give it a negative 5 if I could. Claims "item not found" for 75% of things I scan in store. Plus a damn ad or 3 pop up in the middle of EVERY scan. Do NOT waste your time!!!
Most useful shopping app around! Before i stumbled across this app, i didn't even know that DG had penny items hidden in plain sight, on their shelves! This app helps you find and scan the penny items easier and faster and let's you scan for prices along the way.
Never up to date on the list and is always saying no connection available when u have, your data on or on wifi connection, never can get it to scan right it always saying erro, please fix this.
There's constantly a spinning thing like it's never done loading. There's no link to the YouTube channel to see current lists. Takes forever to scan anything.
I do when it works ! But not very consistent. For instance, it has not been updated going on 4 days now! And 3-4 days ago there was a rether larg list that came out.
. There is Not enough Ads. Ramp up the ads. I mean come on every American trying to save a little bit wants to stand wierdly in each isle and watch A 45 sec Ad after each scan. And for what Nothing,!! Thats right u might once in a while hit big but 90% of the time u look like a fool in each isle. Ya see If the store is on top of there inventory then u wont find a thing. This is basically just a way of snitching on there stores to see if employees are doing there job. IM NOT GONNA BE A FOOL
I love how easy it is to work and the penny list all the same app. But I have encounters scanning problems. But it's a great tool to have.
Downloaded and opened scanner immediate ad. Scanned item gave price then another ad. Free version is useless and I wont spend a "penny" on the paid version after my experience.
I'm not impressed, it never works when I want it to, so I wind up having to scan with the DG app. Sorry but I'm deleting it to free up space.
I cant even download it because it keeps popping up ads and it keeps saying it will download in a minute? And then pop up more ads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this app is terrible. every time you try to login it says loging failed, it asks for unnecessary device permissions and the user interface is awful.
I love this app & saves me sooooo much money at DG. I have been able to help more folks out that can't afford alot of extra stuff, but having this app helps me find so much that others can use or just simply want. Thanks!
Why bother with this unreliable app. Just use the dollar general app. At least you know it's accurate. This app is not worth the hassle and all the ads.
Ive installed and un installed 3 times.Each time I try and login it does nothing.I have watched the tutorial and according to that video, its nothing on my end.I want the pro version but not until i can try the free version.
Downloaded the app to scan for penny items yet tried 9 different times to verify my phone with a code and it keeps giving me verification failed. Lame!!
Love this app! My favorite feature is the scanner! The fact that you can watch items and the prices, that's pretty cool too.
Cant login...no option to on free version also tried as a guest at local dollar general it dcanned a few items then i got an error...what am i doing wrong?? Please help
It's great.. Sometimes I have a hard time getting it to scan but I think it's the light.. It's so convenient...
Excellent app, definitely helpful for finding pennies and I LOVE that you can activate all coupons at one!
This doesn't offer anything special except a link to its website and facebook group. Everythong else can be done from the dollar general app itself.
This is the first time I've ever set up an account is this app going to be the same as the one that is 7.99 if not what is the difference . I'm excited about getting started on my penny shopping
Not only are the adds annoying but it worked at one store! The next store i visited within 30 minutes of leaving the first one no bar code was registering with a price! Everything i scanned came up 0.00 item not found! Now i didn't have problems downloading or loggin in cause i already had the DG app! I went back to that ...and that scanner worked? Then again i saw the list of items and found them they were scanning up on sale "supposed surprise penny items" ???? Honestly?
