Dollar Bank App

Since last update had to re-enter everything. Changed phones so had to delete old phone add new one ...not difficult. Kinda ticked though that when I go online on my PC my password of record works(so I am very certain it is the correct one) BUT when I try to log in on my phone with the same correct password it doesn't work....and frequently without understandable cause my biometrics/face id fails to work.... So yeah fix those issues and I'll give 5 stars

The app is inconsistent in successfully authenticating credentials. This morning I tried twice and it indicated incorrect credentials. I am able to log in via the website just fine always but most of the time not with the app. I've verified that I'm entering the correct credentials. I called tech support and the tech had me try again and this time it worked so there wasn't much she could do to help and I completely understand that as I wasn't able to replicate the issue at that moment This has gotten to the point where I hesitate to even use the app because if it fails more than twice, I must go through the forgotten password routine to be able to log in from any source. This issue happened a year or so ago as well and Dollar Bank did issue a formal statement, acknowledgment and subsequent fix which solved the problem for several month but now it seems to be reoccurring.

UPDATE: Emailed developers they tried saying it was my end and told me call in; HOWEVER, when i tried app yesterday it needed to SEND ME a code so i could use the updated app. Thusly it WAS on their end. Previous: Updated now doesn't work at all. Deleted, reinstalled, still won't work. Just spins days error encountered and tells me call the 800 number. SMH.

From what I can see when you deposit a check there is no way to input a cents value, only whole dollars. This is not very useful. Update in January 2020: They still have not added the ability to put a decimal point in the value of the check deposit. This is a weakness of this app. Why hasn't it been fixed yet? Still not fixed in Jan 2022.

Deposits are difficult. Rejected check several times for not matching amount (it did), not being endorsed (it was), etc. It is easier to navigate and use though. Update: Much better with deposits.

Pretty good for managing basic banking needs. Digital check deposits could be further improved with better image recognition. I would also recommend improved clarity surrounding access to a live banker when you exceed the capabilities within the app.

I would like to see a new design for the interface and all tabs. It would be nice to provide design options for the app and allow the customer to decide. The options with the most votes wins!! 😃 At least think about it. Let the customers decide.

After numerous tries to deposit check, with numerous prompts, it finally told me to place it on a dark surface. This worked. With practice, it probably gets easier. Otherwise good app.

When making my mortgage payment, it defaults to a "principal only" payment and I need to manually select "regular payment." It should be the other way around. When I accidentally make a principal only payment I get charged fees for not making my interest payment.

Difficult and not user friendly. Generally a online bank app simply states "Transfer Funds". But the new app keeps the customer guessing to probe in order to find the right choice to transfer funds. Too time consuming.

It's troublesome. Sometimes it doesnt work at all. Usually at the worst of times. Like in the middle of shopping,or a purchase. Or it's down do to issues.. Seems to have gotten better of late.

This disappeared from my list of apps. I have to go to the Play store to open. Every time. I'm guessing that was a security feature, but there's a line between secure and annoying and this just stepped over it. If it wasn't such a hassle to change my direct deposit and linkages to my brokerage accounts, I'd find a bank with an app that shows on my home page. Otherwise, the app got a little less glitchy.

I am also experiencing the freezing issue with the app. I have tried reinstalling, force stopping, clearing data and cache, but it seems to allow login and then a few more seconds of activity before it freezes. I have an S8, and my wife has an LG and it works fine for her. I have put up with this for over a week and haven't had a fix come through. Please fix this and I'll give a better rating because the app was good before this.

It's better than the last one. If you select Activity, you're stuck in one account, and there's no way to change it. You have to guess how to switch accounts and then select the one you want--then you can select to see more details. So the Activity menu item isn't particularly useful. When paying bills, it gives you a date and often a grayed-out Pay button with no indication of why it's grayed out. Please give us the first possible date automatically.

It's OK. But I liked the way the old version looked and worked better. I'm not a fan of the "temporary balance" for sure. If the system is down, just tell me and I'll try again later. I had a truck payment fail but I was never notified. I only noticed cuz I had more $$ left than I should have when I checked the balance. Maybe this is just learning curve for me..

Too many menus, I often get lost in drop downs. Also not a fan of how the accounts are set up. I'm married so we have multiple accounts between the two of us, they are set up between what is checking and what is savings. It made more sense before to have them listed by account number. The app is also a bit slow and unresponsive some times but that I figure will be fixed with time.

Can't search for dollar bank to find app on phone has to be mobile. I don't like how you can't see a picture of your check when it gets cashed in case you don't remember what check got cashed from where, especially if there are multiple checks. The set up was confusing to find where to transfer money to different accounts. And you are limited 6 money transfers and then you get charged. That is ridiculous. Considering changing banks.

You've somehow managed to make this app even worse with the big update. The ability to easily see the date and amount last paid to billers in the payment section was one of the most useful parts of the app. Having to search each biller individually to find the last payment is a big step backwards. The app is named "Mobile" so that is shows up in the M's and searching your phone for "dollar bank" doesn't even find it. Been trying to stay with Dollar but may switch to a bank with a better app.

I like the app, however I think the inconsistency between functions could cause a problem for customers. To transfer money between Dollar Bank accounts and to deposit a check, too are not required to enter a decimal point. However to pay other bills, you have to enter the decimal point. Also, when paying other bills, you don't get a chance to confirm the transaction.

This app isn't very good, the biggest thing I dislike is you can't see the image of the cancelled check. I can't remember who the check went to, so that's very inconvenient. Also, making deposits is very difficult, it rejects the picture of the check constantly, so it takes forever to do a simple chore. Overall, it's by far the worst banking app I've ever used.

The keys on my phone and the fields in the display fields are both very small. As an older customer with typical reading issues, inputting passwords correctly can be challenging. Your app makes ir much more so because there is no option to see what you have entered. Was it a typo? Wrong password? Seeing what I typed would help. Please change this. Thank you. Once I get past data entry, the app is good so three starts overall.

Now that I have used this app for some time, I really like all of its features. At first, I wasn't sure that it would give a running balance after each transaction, but it does. One added feature that the last app didn't have is an instant balance capability. It is also easier to Zelle money. In general, this app is easier to use than the older app.

Glitchy. Worked great when I first installed it, but now if I don't get the 'error' has occurred' message, it freezes once I go into the account and I can't scroll up and down, or, get the 'holds' section to open. I really don't want to have to log into a website on my phone, the boxes to type in are so tiny I can't even read what I'm typing. If this app is fixed I will give it the 4-5 stars it deserves.

I loved the Dollar Bank app until about 1.5-2 weeks ago when it started to freeze on the activity page. i called tech support who said there's a known problem with Android devices, but did not offer any further info as to whether this was going to be fixed or not. i've uninstalled and reinstalled several times to no avail. It's still not at all very functional and very inconvenient.

Omg!!!!! I have been with dollarbank for 26 years and all of a sudden when I try to log in it says "Problem has occurred" so I assumed that there was maintenance being done on the app. No!!!! I've tried everything uninstall, reinstall, closing other apps etc......fix this or I'm out!!!!!!! And with the other reviews I see I won't be the only one!!!! Word travel fast

Who is creating this app?!?! This app is pretty much useless for anything other than seeing the available balance. When I go through the log in process it then takes me to the balance screen and freezes up, not letting me do anything else. I have to then fully close out and I always try to give it the benefit of the doubt and try again, but nada, the same thing. Doesnt work at all. Its easier at this point to just use the website..... Please get this updated and add fingerprint ability!!!!
