Dollar General DG GO!

App was working great. But now i have to add a card rather than have the option to scan products. I dont want anyone to have my card info. So unfair to not be able to budget. Update. This app works better than the other. So much faster, no constant waiting for a price or having to switch the store location. And since redownloading it the card issue Was fixed. But sad that this one has to go. You should keep both.

The idea of the app is great and works amazingly outside. Once you get in the store it is impossible to get service to use data and the few does that have wifi will not allow you to connect. So really it is pointless. I tried for an hour today to connect to wifi and check prices. Ended up staying everything to the front to stand in line and get a price check on everything. I would definitely give 5 stars IF I could actually use it.

I'll change once fixed, but I can't even finish the create account part. Itll get all the way to the end where you accept the terms, you hit that, and then it just sits at 'contacting dg.. configuring for coupons.. creating sccount..' until it either crashes or I get sick of it. Longest I've waited for it to finish was 20 minutes. Does it really take that long?! EDIT 9/27 The update this app had fixed whatever was the issue! Was able to make an account and use the app after it finished. Thanks!

Latest version doesn't seem to have crashing problems anymore. This app scans REALLY FAST and easily, and can scan barcodes vertically. If you wish to scan everything in store, you need this app. Except the problem is it adds up the wrong total most of the time! The main DG app now includes cart calculator too, BUT IT IS IMMENSELY SLOW at scanning, and has loads of scanning difficulties. But they're going to do away with this app, and most likely not fix the scanning issues in the main app.

I was forced to set up an account using my name, email address, and phone number just to get into the app and find out that I can't use it because there are no stores near me that are compatible. The store locator should really only list stores that are compatible with the app instead of every single location. Seriously. I went thru the first 37 stores in the list before I gave up trying to find one I can use the app in. Why can't I just use the scanner to price check items?

The pricea are INCORRECT. I scan the barcode and it tells me the price but then when I go to checkout the price is usually ALWAYS WRONG. Also, it will tell me that there is a coupon available for the item I scanned but the coupon does not come off when I type my number in during checkout. This has happened more times than it has actually been correct.

Horrible trash app, you can't even find out if there is a compatible store nearby, until you download this app, sign up for an account, give them your phone number and email,wait for an sms verification (they didn't ask permission to send an sms), and give them access to your location. After all that big waste of time, like me you might find out there is no compatible store nearby. What a joke.

Terrible. Just make a self checkout. The lines are long and slow enough so give us an option to check ourselves out. I tried to scan items on the scanner and it doesn't work you have to use the app. No other store does this, just adapt with the times and give customers a way to checkout without having to wait in lines and deal with slow registers waiting behind old people who don't know how to use a coupon properly.

This apps is amazing!! Saves so much time & makes using the digital coupons easier! I Now know before I get to checknout not only what My total with coupons is(which also helps with staying on budgets), but also it lets you know when you can use a coupon or what else you need to use a coupon! My opinion though (which is why i took a star a way) is they should have just combined the 2 apps together so I wouldnt have 2 separate apps downloaded I use for the same purpose seems pointless to me

Wouldn't even let me create an account. Kept telling me the code was invalid, their was an aerror loading or when I make to the terms and condition it would tell me the code was expired. I have the coupon app and no issues with it. I contacted support and was told they are aware of the issues check again in a few days it may be fixed by then.

was just told by a DG manager in lemay MO that I basically have to scan everything myself and find the coupons in the app before the system can take money off. This is a complete waste of time when there are ads all over the store saying what you will get off with the app. I downloaded it and made a profile so just give me the coupon price like Walgreens. your competitors do it easier and better.

I could not do anything with this app except provide personal info such as my phone number and address. It kept saying I was entering the wrong code to register which I wasn't ESPECIALLY since the code that was sent to be was copied and paste. Unfortunate..... It appears to be pretty cool. However, it was pretty frustrating trying to get it to work. I tried numerous of times and the same message displayed every time.

I hate having to log in every time. I wish it would remember my login automatically. I would lije a price check scan only mode. Right now it seems to add everything I scan right to the cart and I have to go back and delete. I noticed the regular app seems to have added a scanning feature but I have yet to try it.

I love how easy to keep track of my purchases it is with this app. only thing I've noticed is some items will say one price and then ring higher at the register. Also it's too bad there isn't a store near me where I can pay via the app and skip the line but I'm sure as time goes more stores will have that option.

Was hoping it would work. Tried it out tonight. DG Customer wi-fi was not working. Would not allow scanning of items. Also some items in the DG app store circulars show a certain price, but when you check out. The discounts do not show up. Need some things fixed all around. Would probably be a good thing if every thing synced.

I dislike that you want my location and access to my contacts. I refuse to download this app again until you find a way around that. DG has no need for that info. Also now even though uninstalled I can't turn off my wifi it is constantly scanning for open networks. Fix it. I should be able to get around the location by using my zip code and selecting a store. I will not ask my friends to download this until this changes. a great idea but you don't need all my info just to price check stuff.

I have downloaded the DG app as well as the DG GO app. Immediately after downloading I then have tried to sign in numerous times and neither app will let me saying that the password or email is incorrect. I have tried several times to reset the password but it never sends me an email to do so. Judging from all the other reviews on here, you may as well put their customer service telephone number on speed dial if you intend to use these apps.

DO NOT USE THIS APP! I was charged 3 extra times. I'm having to fight to have $96 in overcharges removed. The assistant manager told me she couldn't do anything, that I need to call my bank. The bank says it's DG's fault since their app did all 3 extra charges. I actually was never able to complete my transaction since their is no internet except just inside the entrance. The app kept cycling so I had to keep walking back to the entrance to try to get it to work. Had to go to register to complet

The app is really cool. But it just needs one thing to make it better. I should be allowed to scan an item at any DG and price check it just like Walmart app has. I don't want to have to keep going up to the register for a price check because there is no price on it or something just put it in the wrong place. So please update the app and make it able to price check at any DG location.

only part of the page shows after a scan an item so you can't see the price of item. last time I couldn't even log on. I had to uninstall and reinstall to even use the site. Still have issues with only part of price page showing. I think once it gets fixed I will definitely like it more.

The app worked. In true Dollar General fashion the scanner had trouble when you went.to the back part of the store connecting to the server to scan but the manual entry feature covered it. It even subtracted the $5 off coupon. It will tell you if there is a digital coupon attached so you can clip it if you have a digital coupon account. It's really neat and may help prevent item voids for the cashiers.

Im sure it'd be a great app, if i could make an account. It just keeps telling me something went wrong and it wont let me do anything else. Edit: I finally got it to work. It's a good app. I sometimes have problems with it linking to the store I'm in, but I like that it recognizes the exact store I'm in. And the scanner app makes things easier. I like it better than carting everything up to the counter and asking for a price check just to turn around and put it back.

Downloaded this at the instructions of Customer service because the original DG app wasn't working. This app does not work either! I've uninstalled both and would love to give them both a -5 stars if it were possible. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S9 so the phone is definitely not the problem. Don't waste your time with this app.

App was working wonderfully. Loved how easy it was and how fast it scanned items....notice though i keep speaking in past tense....that is because ever since the newest update it tells me every store im in is not a dg go store. Although go to locations of dg go store and it clearly shows the store im in as one. Not to mention my local store was and IS a dg go store but the app keeps telling me it's not.....please fix the app!!

Terrible! Had zero problems until I try to add payment and actually get said items. Tried over 5 different times and locations. Asked in store clerks which had never seen the app do that they said. Also contacted customer service with no help. Sorry but I had high hopes for this but not so much.

App used to work, now fails to work with my account info returning me to a pending registration loop that never continues. Good while it worked, but DG is not exactly great at most things they do, just slightly more convenient. Month later, tried the app again after the response from the developer boiled down to just call them and the problem still persists.

I would love to keep using it, but I am giving this app two stars. It was great when it worked! My card recently changed and I am not able to put in my new payment method. I have already taken the old one off but it continues to tell me my card number is invalid or my cvv code is wrong. I have installed and unistalled the app to see any change and still nothing has been resolved. I had also contacted support and I had already done what they told me I could do and still nothing works.

I uninstalled it in less than 30 minutes. I couldn't use it because only a select few stores can access it. I would happily reinstall it if the app would work across all stores like the Walmart app. All I wanted was a barcode scanner.

terrible, they developed the app before they had any of the stores ready. it would be great to at least to be able to use the scanner. i hate bugging the clerks and if something is on the clearance aisle usually there isn't a price sticker. you guys need to get these stores online with the app. i love dg digitals, but this one is awful! im uninstalling it!

Even when I'm inside the store that the map clearly says is a dg go with cart calculator it tells me I'm not. I'm unable to use this app at all! I've tried deleting and reinstalling in the hope it would perform better but so far no luck with that. What a waste.
